👩‍🍳Politics in the kitchen lead to tragedy!😲

I thought this was a good cozy, highly enhanced by lead character white witch Patience's sidekick familiar Lucky. I have grown fonder of him as the series progresses and it seems he takes a more vocal role in the investigation. That little Scottish terrier has an opinion on everything and a real attitude! Plus, I had fun imagining the expressions on all of the retirement home residents' faces when Lucky is "speaking" to Patience in his doggy voice as they hash out their theories and how they should nab the murderer.

The killer's weapon of choice was a bit odd IMO but I liked the confused search for the culprit who's intent on sabotaging catering operations and the head chef's job at the retirement community.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

In A Wish Too Late, Patience and Lucky return to the Willow Gardens Retirement Community at the request of the chef, Marie. Marie's wish exposes some dark magic lurking near the kitchen. You know there will be a murder before Patience can grant Marie's wish. As always Lucky is sometimes snarky but always lovable! You will not want to miss this exciting book in the fascinating Witches and Wishes series. Can easily be read by itself but it was nice for me to catch up with some of the series' recurring characters.
