🖤My Thoughts:
This book is good and heartbreaking! The emotional rollercoaster it takes you on ain't for the weak-hearted. I highly suggest checking your TWs before diving in, something i rarely do, so brace yourself.
The plot twists still have me in shock; I'm still trying to process everything.
Dan made a deal with devil to protect his little flower when he was young, at time when he himself needed the same.. sealing his fate in the process. He loved Ava enough to want to shield her even when he was powerless, and he would do anything including killing to make sure she felt even a little bit safe knowing the trauma she'd gone through her.
That devotion..him continuing to protect her from a distance even into adulthood had me crying.
Ava went through horrors no child should ever face, but i admired how grew from it. Fighting her way through life not letting her trauma hold her back. And I love Dan for embracing her and just protecting her without her even knowing. I swear everything that he did for her even though he himself is broken was beautiful🥹.
They're just perfect for each other.
