She's running from a life she never wanted. He's the grumpy mechanic standing in her way.
Brooke Callahan has spent her whole life being the perfect daughter—until the night she climbs out a window to escape her own engagement party. Three hundred miles later, her car dies on a mountain highway in the middle of nowhere, and a tow truck driver with gray eyes and zero patience is the only thing between her and disaster.
Eli Dawson doesn't do small talk. He fixes cars, drinks his coffee black, and keeps to himself. The last thing he needs is a runaway heiress with designer luggage and secrets in her eyes stranded in his small Colorado town. But when she takes a job at the local diner and starts charming everyone in Pine Creek—including him—he can't seem to stay away.
She's hiding who she really is. He's been burned before. And when her past catches up with her, Eli will have to decide if the woman who lied to him is worth fighting for—and Brooke will have to choose between the life she was born into and the one she's just starting to build.
Stranded with the Mountain Man is a steamy small-town romance featuring a grumpy mechanic with a heart of gold, a runaway bride who's stronger than she knows, and a Colorado mountain town where strangers become family. This is a complete standalone with no cliffhanger and a guaranteed happily ever after.
Aspen Wade writes steamy small-town and mountain men romances where the air is crisp, the men are gruff (until they’re not), and love burns slow but hits hard. Her stories are full of wilderness charm—crackling campfires, snow-dusted cabins, and heroes who’d rather fix a roof than text back (until the right woman knocks them sideways). Expect emotional depth, slow-burn tension, and moments that feel like a deep exhale after a long hike. Aspen’s heroines are strong, clever, and unafraid to challenge the mountains—or the men who guard them. When she’s not writing about rugged love stories and cozy cabin nights, Aspen’s dreaming of pine forests, coffee by a wood stove, and a man who smells faintly of cedar and sin.
Stranded with the Mountain Man is a cozy, slow‑burn romance wrapped in snow, tension, and unexpected tenderness. When city‑smart Harper finds herself trapped in a remote cabin after a winter storm, the last thing she expects is to rely on Beckett, the rugged, solitary mountain man who prefers the company of pine trees to people. Their forced proximity sparks friction at first—Harper’s polished confidence clashing with Beckett’s gruff independence—but the isolation slowly melts their defenses. As danger from the storm grows and secrets slip through the cracks, their connection deepens into something warm, steady, and impossible to ignore. Aspen Wade delivers a charming, heartfelt escape that blends wilderness survival with genuine emotional chemistry.

I was instantly hooked and had to find out why Brooke was on the run and what would happen with her and Eli. Eli was instantly attracted to Brooke and was drawn in by her mystery. The tension and chemistry between them was explosive. Both Eli and Brooke were surprising and not at all what I thought they would be. Brooke was caring and helpful and Eli was grumpy but compassionate. This book was filled with small town antics, a little drama, and some spicy moments. The perfect sunny/grumpy romance.

Excellent novella about a runaway heiress, a grumpy mechanic, and a small town in Colorado. There's heat, steam, and a bit of drama.
Brooke was just trying to get away from an engagement that she learned about when it was very publicly announced. She didn't realize that she would find her place in the small Colorado town of Pine Creek.

Another great Pine Creek story. Brooke is running from an unexpected arranged engagement and ends up needing a tow from Eli. Their HEA has some obstacles to overcome in this page-turner.

Brooke is running from her current circumstances.. She finds Timber Falls on her way to.. well, she stops here not by choice. This prequel introduces us to the Timber Falls Mountain Men series.
Eli is the grumpy mechanic who is going to service her car.. and possibly other things. LOL. This novella is the perfect amount of pages to get you to your reading goal AND to start a new series.
