It was a fun read, full of banter and brainstorming to figure out who is the conniving traitor in the top-notch marketing company.

Faith, our heroine, battles with a mother who's constantly bringing her down while she's just trying to figure out her life. She got fired from her last job because men are pigs (literally, go hide in a hole, Mark) and apparently women are even worse pigs. She is not the most trusting person as a result, and she does a lot of self-deprecation throughout the story.

No surprise then that sparks fly between her and Curtis, the handsome CEO of her new company. He's also not the most trusting sort, but they embark on a journey to uncover who wants to bring him down, while bringing some spice for the audience as well. My only gripe would be that he should've trusted her at the most important moment, but the way he goes about fixing things doesn't hurt—in fact, it gives Faith some confidence back.

It's a very enjoyable rom-com, but beware: it will make you crave doughnuts!

If, like me, you are in desperate need of a book with a bit of romance, fantastic banter, and an interesting plot that is light, fun, and quick to get through because you can’t put it down - then look no further! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I was in need of something to just help me get through the day, and this book was here for me to do so.

While there wasn't much new about the premise in this quick and fun read (i.e., workplace romance, dating the boss, a dash of corporate espionage, everything works out in the end with an HEA), the difference here is that the author writes with a sly wit that made the execution of the premise really enjoyable. Snarky and scrappy Faith pitted against brooding "bosshole" Curtis never stood a chance (but then, neither did Curtis). Despite there being some serious themes (including some messed-up parental relationships on both sides), the book was entertaining and breezily written. It doesn't take itself seriously, which works well since it's a rom-com. It was a bit predictable in places, and leans heavily on intentional misdirection (not my favorite trope but it works here). There are dual 1st-person POVs, which helps with story depth (as a reader I always appreciate those dual POVs in terms of understanding relationship development). I didn't have high expectations (do we really need another "falling for the billionaire bosshole" book?) but I ended up enjoying it, the author has a fun voice and I cracked up more than once. (The times when their relationship was in the "purposely adversarial" stage was fun to read and, strictly from a reader entertainment point of view, didn't last nearly long enough.) This is the perfect book for when you're looking for an escapist pick-me-up. Abby London is a new-to-me author, and it seems as if this is her first book under this pen name. It was so much fun, I would absolutely read her again (this is the start of a series and I'm looking forward to the next one). This review was based on a complimentary DRC, all opinions are my own.

Self deprecating female heroine with funny, crazy and deep inner thoughts and a male hero gorgeous but imperfect, with flaws, doubts and trust issues. The perfect combination for a rom-com with two people very different from the outside but kindred spirits at heart. Curtis and Faith will light your heart. Thanks to NetGalley and Dione Lister publishing for the ARC. This is my honest review.

This was a fun, quick read full of cute banter and smile-inducing inner monologues from the FMC. It hooks your attention with all the donut shenanigans and keeps it with a character who is lovable with her rambling thoughts, sassy comebacks, and even self-doubts and struggles to grow into her best self. Definitely enjoyed the read!

I found Donut Girl & The Bosshole to be a cute enemies to lovers rom com. Faith has lived her whole life being belittled by her mother telling her to not have high expectations for herself.

After an unfortunate incident at her last marketing job, Faith is just desperate to find any job no matter what it is. After an attempted robbery at a bakery, she is presented an unexpected offer that is too good to be true.

The problem? She was spontaneously promoted to PA for the company boss that has been getting hit with problem after problem with clients and is in question of his CEO position.

Curtis knows what is going on and plans to make Faith’s life extra complicated. Easier said than done, there is also an attraction to her that he has never felt with anyone before. The longer they work together, the stronger it becomes and he’s having a hard time fighting it.

When Faith thinks things are finally looking up for her, they all come crumbling down.

I liked this book! I thought it was cute, but also very predictable. I loved the banter between Faith and Curtis, but at times I thought it was a little overkill. Overall, I enjoyed reading it!

Thank you to @netgalley for this ARC! ♥️

This is the authors debut into rom-com and I for one think she did an amazing job and I'm definitely looking forward to more! Well written and captivating, this office romance is full of sweet, steam and humor along with some angst, deception and of course the perfect HEA. Our main characters are Faith and Curtis. I loved that both of our main characters have family issues from unsupportive parents, but I do love how Curtis does have some family that are kind, supportive and one that's particularly funny and Faith has her bestie in her corner, always trying to lift up and support her. I also appreciate how well London delivers the dual point of view without duplicating the story. I love the title and how Faith came to be known as the Donut Girl and how that carried throughout the book and Faith took it with class and owned the whole thing. Such a cute read, I really loved how well balanced it was and I'm so very excited for more!

This workplace romance starts out with a very clear power imbalance, which might be off-putting for some readers, but the book leans strongly into a rom-com tone rather than trying to be overly serious about it. What really stood out (in a good way) were the absolutely hilarious “advice” moments from the female main character’s mother — less dating advice and more wildly questionable job-interview wisdom. Those scenes added a lot of humor and personality to the story.
That said, not everything works equally well. Some plot points feel a bit forced, and a few moments simply don’t land the way they are probably intended to. Still, the book has enough charm, lighthearted banter, and genuinely funny scenes to make it an enjoyable read overall.
If you’re looking for a rom-com style workplace romance with some bright, humorous moments and don’t mind a few rough edges, this one is a solid, entertaining choice.

It all starts with a meet cute that involves a coffee and a donut that leads to Faith starting a new job, and on day 1 she manages to catch the attention of Curtis, as she is asked to investigate him with discression.
But as they work together, they start to see each other. He is the brooding, and she is his total opposite, she is banter to his silence, she is scrappy and feisty, he prefers routines, rules, but his attraction to Faith is breaking their walls and soon the passion between them brings them closer.
But the intrigue of the investigation brings tension and secrets about themselves to the relationship. WIll they be able to solve to unravel the mystery that surrounds them, or will it unravel them?

A great read with relatable characters, a fast paced plot and a beautiful love story!.

This is a fun, quick read with some spice.

Faith has a lot going on - the poor girl's mom is insane and her family is horrible; she's just lost her job because she walked in on her boyfriend (and boss) screwing around on her; and now she's just trying to get a coffee and a donut and there is a robbery going on in the cafe, so she just looses it and goes off on the robber. Thankfully, Curtis is there to help. And it's his aunt they save from being robbed. So of course, the aunt offers her a primo job at their marketing firm. And that's just the start. This also has romance, corporate espionage, and more. Great character development and an interesting storyline.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

Donut Girl and the Bosshole is a sharp, funny, and delightfully chaotic enemies‑to‑lovers romance.

Abby London blends laugh‑out‑loud banter with real emotional depth, making the tension between the heroine and her infuriatingly attractive boss impossible to resist. The workplace drama, the slow‑burn chemistry, and the heroine’s personal growth all come together in a story that’s both entertaining and heartfelt.

When Faith gets a new job with Knight Advertising she did not sign up for having to spy on her boss, Curtis. Clients are leaving the firm and his father wants to know why and blames Curtis. Unfortunately for Faith, Curtis figured out she is spying and he makes her life miserable. The story unravels when Faith finds out who is behind the loss of clients.

I recommend.

Donut Girl and the Bosshole is a fast paced romantic comedy about Faith, a woman who is already down on her luck when she lands a job working for Curtis Knight, a powerful and infuriatingly attractive boss who seems determined to make her life miserable. Between disastrous first impressions, office tension, and a job that comes with strings attached, the story builds into a classic enemies to lovers romance filled with sharp dialogue, emotional moments, and plenty of heat. I really enjoyed reading this because it made me laugh out loud while also giving me a heroine I could genuinely root for, and the chemistry between Faith and Curtis kept me turning pages long past bedtime.

I came for the donuts and stayed for the chaos. This book had me hooked from page one with Faith being broke, stressed, and accidentally smashing a donut into her boss’s expensive shirt, which honestly felt like a sign of greatness. Curtis is the kind of boss you love to hate and hate to love, and watching these two clash, flirt, and spiral into something way deeper was ridiculously entertaining. If you love workplace tension, snappy banter, steamy moments, and a heroine who refuses to shrink herself, you need this book in your life. I devoured it and immediately wanted more. 🍩🔥

'Warning: Includes scenes of workplace seduction, accidental donut attacks, and a hero who looks way too good in a suit for everyone’s sanity.'

The plot was intriguing and well paced. World building was solidly drawn. The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

I’m not sure how to describe this one. I liked it but it seemed to be padded out alot with internal dialogue and pointless flowery descriptions. Sometimes taking an entire page from the H asking a question to getting to the h response. That page filled with their own thoughts. I often forgot what they were even replying to and had to go back to check. On the whole I enjoyed the book but I probably wouldn’t read this author again, simply because of the writing style. Others may really enjoy that though.

The title alone had me wanting to read this story, but the characters, plot, witty snark and banter, and love had me reading this in one day. I love Curtis and Faith together, from their meet cute to their late night banter, to their inner thoughts on one another. This is a laugh out loud fun read that you don't want to miss. Well written, fun characters, hilarious encounters, and a HEA make this a must read.

overall i enjoyed this one! there was some spice in a few spots. I did think the way they got together in the middle of the book was super random. it felt like a scene in the book where it describes a crazy scenario and then you find out the character was just dreaming but that's what actually happened.

I needed a fresh breath of fun and enjoyable quick romance read that is quirky and witty in one short read. Abby London delivered in this story that is not atypical or unique in the premise but delivered in an short enjoyable and fun weekend read. This is typical rude boss and shy sweet girl employee trope but it is delivered fresh and fun,.

An interesting read set within the cutthroat world of advertising involve Curtis and Faith his ever present assistant. As Faith's once in a lifetime job turns into anything but, as attraction sparks between Faith and the boss she is sent to spy on.

I didn't really feel this book was my cup of tea. The chemistry between the 2 leads just felt forced. There is a little detective work to the story, if you like that.
