Frostbitten, half-conscious, and abandoned by the very spies I served, I was left to freeze while my team disappeared without a backward glance. Instead of death, I got dragged out of the snow by the orcs I was trained to fear.
The Chieftain didn’t kill me.
He handed me over to his Captain of the Guard—my judge, my jailer, my keeper. Ragor Thornfell.
A disciplined, battle-scarred commander who trusts no one, especially not a human found spying in the mountains. He doesn’t want me in his space. He doesn’t want me in his territory. But until the Chieftain decides what to do with me, I’m under his constant watch…which feels a lot like being under his protection.
I expected rage. Cruelty. Monster stories come to life. Ragor is none of those things.
He’s steady. Controlled. Brutal in battle—and shockingly gentle when tending the wounds I shouldn’t have survived. And the longer I stay in his quarters, the harder it is to remember the humans who left me to die.
But danger is closing in.
Now I have to
Return to the life that tried to erase me… or stand beside the Captain who might just claim my heart.
A traitor, an Orc Captain of the elite Vangard, and a threatened war that could destroy the Grayfang Clan completely.
War, spying, treachery and betrayal. In the midst of the chaos the Orc Captain and the Traitor woman turned Orc Scout find their way to each other. A lovely romance with passion, spice, and minimal angst. I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series. Can't wait for the next book!
I really appreciate that these stories have romance, yes but so much more. Warfare, strategy, combat skills. And very, very strong FMC that show their true colors & are rewarded & respected for it.
