If Crusher was the warm‑up lap, Draco is the moment Elle James drops the clutch and says, “Buckle up, buttercup.” We slide straight from one story into the next with a segue so smooth it deserves its own Michelin star. And now we’re riding shotgun with MMC Draco, the man who is equal parts charm, chaos, and “I swear I can fix this.”
Enter MFC Cate, who has every right to give him the side‑eye of doom. Draco is out here trying to earn back her trust like a man who suddenly realized consequences are real, and women remember everything. Cate’s not making it easy, and honestly? Good for her. Watching Draco scramble is half the entertainment.
There’s humor sprinkled throughout — the kind that makes you smirk because these two are ridiculous in the best way. Draco trying to win her over again is like watching a golden retriever attempt calculus: earnest, determined, and occasionally confused, but you’re rooting for him anyway.
Now… the ending.
Listen. I love a good “good triumphs over evil” moment as much as the next romance‑addicted gremlin, but this one felt like Elle James looked at the page count, realized she was out of runway, and just yeeted us into the finale. It’s not bad, but it’s definitely abrupt, like someone hit fast‑forward during the climax. You get your resolution, but you also get whiplash.
Still, Draco and Cate deliver the goods: trust, redemption, humor, danger, and just enough emotional chaos to keep you flipping pages.
Final verdict:
A fun, fast, slightly rushed ride with a lovable MMC trying to earn his way back into the good graces of a woman who absolutely knows her worth. Not perfect, but definitely worth the read — especially if you’re already hooked on the SOS crew.

I am absolutely loving this series by Elle James. The camaraderie and brotherhood these guys have is unconditional and true. Watching Draco work with his own team and some of the guys from Brotherhood Protectors International was great.
Draco and Cate have a wonderfully addictive journey that will hold you spellbound as they traverse their art to their own HEA.
I loved Cate. She’s an independent and strong character. What’s sad and made me want to hug her, was her realisation that she could only depend on herself, throughout her life she’d been shown, in one form or another that people don’t stay. My heart ached for her.
Draco is the ultimate alpha protector, but he’s also an idiot. He made the wrong decision that hurt both himself and Cate because he thought he knew what was right. I can’t tell you how glad I was to see him realise his mistake and do everything he could to never lose the one thing that made him complete again.
I absolutely loved this story. It was jam packed with emotions, action and a depth that will leave you breathless.

We first met Draco and Cate in an earlier book, and I was so happy to see them return. Draco works for SOS, while Cate is a private investigator. When Cate's best friend is charged with murdering her husband—despite there being no body—the case immediately raises more questions than answers.
A single clue sends Cate to Europe in search of the missing husband, with Draco by her side every step of the way. Between a foiled kidnapping, unexpected twists, and one clue after another, it becomes clear they're getting closer to uncovering the truth. But as the danger intensifies, so does the spark between them. Their second chance at love is impossible to ignore, and the chemistry between them absolutely sizzles. Forced into close quarters, their relationship develops beautifully alongside the investigation.
I thoroughly enjoyed following the mystery as each clue fell into place and long-standing questions were finally answered. The suspense kept me hooked, and the conclusion was incredibly satisfying, tying up the loose ends while delivering a well-earned happily ever after.

Draco….Just the name brings an image of toughness and major bad boy vibes..
Elle James knocks it out of the park with Draco (Stealth Operations Specialists #4). You have a tough private investigator heroine, determined to clear her friend from a murder charge, an ex-military, ex romantic partner hottie hero, and a wild ride through danger to navigate a HEA for all. Cate finds herself relying on Draco for protection while on the path to solving the mystery of the allegedly murdered husband. On the journey, she and Draco find themselves re-discovering what attracted them to each other….but is it too late…is danger too close? It was fun following the story. The only thing I will say is that you probably need to read the previous story in the series (Crusher #3) to understand this story’s beginning, which starts you off where book 3 left off and could get rather confusing. Otherwise, you get into the rhythm pretty fast. I had a blast reading and reviewing!

Now that Cate has been rescued, the danger isn’t over as she is still looking for the husband who set up his wife, who happens to be her best friend. This time Draco is not leaving her behind, he did once and regretted it ever since but now that he has been assigned as her protector, it’s his second chance and he is not going to waste it. When Draco left, it broke Cate, no good bye or anything, there one day and gone the next but she knows she needs help and agrees to have Draco help her. As the two find clues and get closer to the truth, the danger becomes real but with the help of their team, they may have a chance and maybe a chance to be together once again.
A great read with a strong heroine and hero, who work great together and don’t let their past hinder their present and future. The story flowed with suspense, twists and turns, and great characters that had me turning the pages.

We get pulled into the investigation as Cate and Draco head to London, tracing money and chasing down a whole lot of bad people. Along the way, we see them struggle to keep things professional when their emotions keep getting in the way.
I cheered when Cate finally dropped her guard and when Draco realised the mistake he had made with her. The romance and thrilling case keep you invested from start to finish, making you enjoy both this couple and the team just as much as the rest of the series.

We met Cate Marsh in the last Stealth Operations Specialist book, Crusher. If you haven't read it, I encourage you to, even though this is a stand-alone book; some of the characters do make appearances in Draco. This is a smart story that moves at a quick pace as Cate investigates her best friend's arrest for murder. Draco Thornton is the specialist working to keep her safe as they navigate the streets of Zurich and other locations while the case heats up with twists, turns, and connections no one saw coming. The connection and romance developing between Cate and Darco give him all the reasons he needs to keep her by his side.

The prologue was good. However, when I got to Chapter 1 I felt like I had been dropped into another universe. I did read Crusher, but I do not remember Cate being kidnapped. I do remember her being in that book, but that is all. Also, I don't remember anything about her being whisked away in a taxi. Please don't start books expecting the reader to remember stuff from a previous book. I want standalone books. The author needed a short recap from the previous book. As it was, I was totally confused. There was never a decent explanation for the kidnapping with Marta.

“Draco” by Elle James is another thrilling addition to the Brotherhood Protectors world! This story is intense, action-packed, and full of suspense from start to finish. Elle James once again delivers ex-military heroes who know exactly how to take down the bad guys while winning the hearts of the women they love. The European setting provides a unique and captivating backdrop that makes the adventure even more engaging. The plot is well-paced and carefully developed, and the characters are simply awesome, making the romance feel both authentic and heartfelt. Suspense, Twists, Surprises and Second Chances. We met Draco and Cate in Book 3, Crusher. Cate's friend is in jail, and the trail leads overseas where she runs into Draco again and is kidnapped. This is the fourth book in the Stealth Operations Specialist division of the Brotherhood Protectors, and it was great. There’s lots of action, suspense, mystery, romance and friendship. This is a stand-alone book, but you get to see characters that you met in previous books. I loved the banter between Draco and Kate. The setting is in Zurich, and it makes you feel like you’ve been there. I received an ARC for an honest review, and I loved it. The characters are very likeable. They feel like family to me. I recommend this book!

Draco had ghosted Cate in the midst of their relationship. Now, they were assigned to be together as a fake tourist couple. Crack had almost lost her to a second kidnapping except for Cafe's quick but dangerous action. They laid working ground rules as they continued to work to find the man who set his wife up to be accused of his murder. Cate believed he was alive and she intended to see her friend freed from prison. With Draco guarding her six as witnesses keep dying. Great story!

We are back in Zurich and Cate Story not only starts of with a bombshell. It continues like crazy throughout the story. With the help of Brotherhood Protectors International and Draco they leave no Stone unturned to solve Cate‘s case and the crimes behind it. The criminal component behind this story is exceptional. As a swiss citizen I personally love all the accurate swiss references that are made in this story.

Elle James knocked it out of the park! Draco has everything—a fierce PI heroine, a protective ex-military hero, and incredible second-chance chemistry. Cate and Draco's journey through danger to clear her friend’s name was a wild, fun ride. Just be sure to read Book #3 (Crusher) first, as this one picks up right where it ended. Highly recommend!

A fantastic addition to the SOS series. Draco and Cate dated for a short time, then he ghosted her. Kate is a PI and is helping her bestie that has been charged with killing her husband. She is hot the trail when she is kidnapped. Draco and his team rescue her and he is determined to protect her and win her heart again. ARC

Fast moving international story reuniting past lovers Draco and Cate. Friend Dana is charged with murdering her husband and Cate is convinced he’s alive. Her investigation takes her to Zurich and Draco. They find strings connecting to upper people in government and millions of dollars in an account. Proving it is harder. Excellent book!

I enjoyed this book. Draco and Cate's story captured my interest and had me eagerly devouring page after page. This book is filled with a smart blend suspense, action, thrills, drama, emotion, tension, heart, spice and twists that pulls you in and keeps you anxiously devouring word after word.

When Cate Marsh was kidnapped right from Draco Thornton’s arms at the end of Crusher, I knew this book was going to be explosive. After getting her back, he vows never again. He just didn’t realized this hot bundle was going to keep him on his toes to keep her safe! A great read.

How do you trust someone in your life when they break your heart and walk away? When you need protection but have no idea who is really after you. You go on the hunt for those you think are coming for you. Excellent book you don’t want to miss.
