Now, I may not know what an Incubus or an Omega is. But what I do know is Imani Jay’s latest Valentine’s novella has it all. Who knew an Incubus had such a dirty mouth? The spice scenes are hot. He does show himself in many ways—his demon physical self. And she’s accepting of him—tail and all. I liked it a lot!

This was a cute, lovely and very spicy read. It’s a real shame it was such a short read, I would have loved a full-on novel with this heat, connection and wonderful characters, main and side.
I adored Destiny & Rahel (MC club name Viper), their instant connection and draw between them being scent matches was so fantastic and especially how they met inside their dreams before meeting for real. I especially love a good possessive male, one who would unalive anyone who even looked at you funny, and Rahel is without doubt that man, and the fact he has shadow powers and tail he uses in their s3xy times is such a hot added bonus. For a short book, the plot was captivating and the characters compelling, I loved it all.
Destiny is a chocolate shop owner who has been having extremely s3xy dreams with a faceless shadowy man, and she can't get him off her mind. She’s even tried dating, but nothing can compare to her shadowy lover and the best s3x she’s ever had, and he’s not even real……right?

However, he can't be with anyone as nothing compares to his dream lover, an omega he only met 6 months ago in his dreams night after night. Then one fateful night whilst out riding with his MC brothers, he catches a scent and nothing (even a door) will stop him from reaching out towards the chocolate and brown sugar scent. It’s the scent he’s been dreaming about, the one that belongs to his dream lover.
Highly recommended if you want to escape with little plot, very high heat, s3xy bikers and a connection that burns between them! 🫠

This book is super short. I got only about 15% through before stopping. This is just bad writing. Like, high school freshman year bad. I just can’t.
And to give more detail of what I mean… the flow is terrible, it’s choppy, childish, one dimensional, and very cartoonish. It’s like a crappy fanfic.
Total waste of time. Do not recommend.

Didn’t feel as short as it was!
This was a cute, quick little read that had just enough to feel like a full story, which is a feat in itself. To me, the pacing was perfect. Their meeting and time together were cute; nothing overly complicated was going on, which is what I was hoping for.
The only thing that irked me…well maybe two things, were that I wasn’t fully sure what Rahel looked like aside from being hulking, tatted with amber eyes. I think maybe his hair was dark, but that’s about the extent of it. Hell, I knew more about how Dom the vampire looked, and he only had like 8 pages of screen time.
The other irksome thing was that Destiny and Rahel sounded like the same person when it was smexy time (which was often). Des would go from saying freaking all the time to straight f-bombs every other word, which is how Shadow Daddy spoke all the time.
Other than that, though, this was a perfect first book for this Valentine’s Day season.

The story was short and spicy with an insta-love/mate bond. I enjoyed it but I don’t know if the writing style is for me. At the beginning the POV kept switching very rapidly. I would only get maybe 3 paragraphs before I was being tossed to the other character’s POV. It felt really jarring and hard to get into.
Then the second half of the book the chapters were longer but the plot felt like an afterthought. Also using the term MC does not elicit thought of a motorcycle club. All I can think is master of ceremonies. Or like… a DJ.
All that said the book was less than 100 pages and the spice was spicing with a curvy FMC so I enjoyed it for what it was.

Very quick read and different to me. I haven't read many books like this I kept my focus and attention to it. It did take me a little longer to read it.

A novella (under 90 pages), Knotted by the Incubus, was a fun, quick, and steamy yet sweet read. For many months, they vividly dreamed about each other—Destiny (FMC) haunted and consumed by a faceless, shadowy man, and Rahel (MMC) left starving, a ravenous need only she can satisfy.
Biker and an MC member, Rahel is a 500-year-old incubus. For as long as he has been alive, nothing could really sate his hunger until he started dreaming about her. Desperate and craving someone who may not be real, Rahel couldn't even imagine touching someone else. Destiny is a chocolate shop owner and an omega, and just like Rahel, her dreams ruined her for all men. Even though he is starving, he refuses to enter others' dreams to feed off their desires, and no one compares to his omega. One day, they realize they both exist, and an intense, overwhelming desire to be together is present.
The spice is super hot and descriptive, and their chemistry is high. Even though this is a novella, it still has a fun plot, and I felt the connection between the two.
This is a cute, steamy and quick novella that is just in time for Valentine's Day!!

Let me start by saying: Imani Jay warned us. Right at the beginning, we’re told not to expect plot, realism, or anything deep — just pure fun and escapism. And honestly? He absolutely delivered.
This was 88 pages of lust, attraction, and very well-written spicy scenes, and I’m not even mad about the complete lack of plot. Does it matter? Not at all. The book knows exactly what it is and never pretends to be anything else. I went into this expecting a fun, half-hour read, and that’s exactly what I got.
The writing of the intimate scenes was genuinely good — smooth, confident, and engaging enough that you just keep turning pages without questioning anything. It’s one of those reads where you just turn your brain off and enjoy the ride.
Also, can we talk about Destiny for a second? The fact that she’s not even remotely fazed by the whole monster/demon situation? Chef’s kiss. Loved that energy. No unnecessary fear, no dragged-out internal monologues — just vibes and confidence.
Is it deep? No.
Is it realistic? Absolutely not.
Was it fun? Very much yes.

What a captivating and enjoyable exotic short story. The characters are compelling with a relationship that is entertaining and extremely passionate. I really enjoyed reading about fated mates and I can definitely say that this story is very interesting Destiny is a omega who owns a chocolate shop who is having dreams for months about a shadowed man, but her behavior is so uncommon to her but what she doesn't know is she is having her heat cycle. Rahel is a incubus alpha who has lived for five hundred years and he doesn't know the meaning of chocolate and brown sugar in his dreams, but he knows it's his mate and what she smells like and the taste of her along with how she feels but not who this omega is except that she's his mate that has been messing with his dreams for six months and that he needs to feed on her very soon,The suspense in this story is off the chart, and there's parts that you will may want a fan and glass of your favorite beverage because this story is sizzling hot with lots of emotions. I really enjoyed the secondary characters as they help to make this story to be fantastic.but there are quite a few things that makes this a interesting tale and it's absolutely joy to read for this fabulous valentine day.

This was absolutely amazing! 😮💨😭 This book is the perfect one-handed read because it’s just that good! It’s so intense, and I absolutely love the Alpha and Omega dynamic!
Destiny is such a blast! I’m really enjoying her and Keke’s friendship—it’s like seeing a reflection of myself. Plus, the black slang made me feel proud. Destiny is so true to herself and just a vibe. The way she opened up for her Alpha. I’m sitting here cheering for her. She is the perfect Omega for him! My also favorite thing is her calling him beautiful, like yes ma’am!!!!
Rahel?! Oh my goodness! That man is incredibly attractive! The way he speaks to Destiny about it is simply mesmerizing.😮💨🥵 I can completely understand why Destiny’s passion is so intense. The way I would be opening for him too. I had to fan myself throughout the entire book to stay cool. I had to take deep breaths to calm myself down. It was incredibly steamy and scorching! This is exactly what I envision when I say Alpha.

The smut is well written and confident, with a strong nod to classic Omegaverse elements, including breeding kink, that will absolutely appeal to the target audience.

Definitely short with so much room for more… if the author wanted to expand it. Sweet (talking about very mild spice… borderline vanilla) and to the point. Minor grammar and punctuation issues (missing letters or a wayward end quotation) to be mildly had. Left with questions like he’s five hundred years old already… is he immortal or near the end of his life? What about her? Is she still human? This is never addressed. After the book is finished I find myself annoyed with the fact he takes control of everything, that she just goes okay, and hands it over with no communication about things. He goes you’re mine. She goes take me, I’m yours. They go to her apartment and pack everything right then and there. He has no faith in her. She says she can handle her landlord, he takes over and threatens the man. No talk about her life, her shop… her future that she worked for, either a brief mention of a new shop opening… so much room for them to butt heads, to learn about each other and we get nothing.

Knotted By the Incubus follows Destiny, an omega pastry chef who has been having very erotic dreams about someone who she can't see. When one day her business door is blown in, she finds herself face to face with Rahel, an alpha incubus
So this book was not for me and it's simply for the fact it moved way too fast. I do not mean this in the erotica sense of it because that was the point of this book but the relationship aspect of it. It felt like their relationship went from 0-100 really fast and just made no sense progression wise. I have read a lto of Omegaverse especially from AO3 and this was not the type that I liked.
Also, the use of nicknames absolutely drove me nuts. There's using a nickname every once in awhile but using it on every single sentence was just way too much for me. I find it extremely annoying when that's done.
What I did like about this was that this is a diverse omegaverse read. We need a lot more books that are this diverse and embrace having diverse characters.
If this interest, I would say give this a chance. It just was not for me.

Howdy Everyone. I am so frickin happy I picked this book to read. I'm telling you right now this is a total must read. As long as you don't mind cursing, you will totally devoure this quick read. I was hooked from the first page.

Okay, this was a really fun, super spicy quick read. I honestly flew through this in one sitting. The whole incubus and fated mates vibe drew me in. The chemistry between Destiny and Rahel was instant. There's no slow burn here, only tension and heat from the start. The only reason it didn't get a full five stars from me was that I wanted a little more depth. More world-building and character development would have made it even better. But I do understand that that wasn't the point of the novella. Everything happens quickly, but it's still incredibly entertaining. Overall, this is a quick, steamy paranormal romance that is easy to read and ideal for those who want something fun and spicy without too much heaviness or plot.

This was a shorter read but nothing was missing! It was spicy, witty, very touch her & 💀! These two meet in their dreams night after night until one day he smells her scent & it's all over after that! Destiny can't believe it when her shadow daddy comes blowing down her door! Rahel knows the minute her gets a taste of her scent he found his mate & he won't let anything stop him. Rahel & Destiny get the answers they've been searching for in their dreams. Rahel is true to his mate even before they meet in person by putting his incubus needs second. But once these two finish what they started in their dreams; he'll never be short of desire to feed one! Great quick Valentines book,that had me kicking my feet at times!
