Something of a sleaze masterpiece. Kastle's novel, Cross Country, hits hard and rides fast. Flurrying scenes of intense sexual encounters, blood splattered crime scene left in wake. One of them is a sexual psychopath but who?

This is a book that has a texture to it. It's slimy, revolting, delicious, and thrilling.

No admittance for prudes.

Interesting plot--three strangers traveling across country, one who has murdered a woman back in New York. A homicide detective back in the city is working the case, and has a vested interest in pinning it on the rich one of the group. I find the book was somewhat ruined by the sex between the three travelers, and found the ending disappointing. Really, I'd give it two and a half stars. Kastle wrote several of these seedy crime fiction novels, and was also a screenwriter on several shows in the 1960's.

Not a very interesting book. I had recalled most of the story, but it didn't help much. The sex scenes were very graphic, some too much for my liking. Threw this one out!
