Discover the Untold Story of Sharing the Gospel Message
John, the last disciple of Christ, holds the completed Gospel of John in his hand. But when an earthquake strikes, he and his two scribes, Emmaus and Avram, must fight fire and destruction to preserve the precious scroll. The epic saga of the Last Disciple continues in this captivating new Christian historical novel from Kurt Brouwer.

Stand With John the Last Disciple of Christ
John had followed Jesus for three years. He saw the Son of God sacrifice his life on the Cross; he entered the empty tomb after Jesus rose from the grave; and he watched his Lord and Savior ascend to heaven from the Mount of Olives.

Now his mission is to share his eyewitness account of Jesus with believers throughout the Roman Empire. In the face of grave difficulties, God provides help from two surprising sources. Tiberius Celsus, a Roman officer and unlikely ally, delivers a copy of the Gospel of John to the believers in Antioch. And the Apostle Timothy helps John fulfill his divine mission of sharing the story of Christ with believers in Ephesus.

Temptation And Betrayal Plague Believers
John also faces human fear and frailty among believers. Archelaus, a wine merchant, resists temptation and returns to the faith. Diotrephes, a former church leader, betrays both his faith and his fellow believers.

Have you ever wondered what it truly cost to preserve, protect, and share Scripture? Do you long to experience the unwavering devotion of the early Christians? The Last Sharing the Gospel will help you transform and renew your spiritual journey.

If you're struggling with doubt, searching for meaning, or are hungry to deepen your faith, The Last Sharing the Gospel is the Christian novel you've been waiting for—Biblically accurate fiction that strengthens and informs your faith.

Don't miss this fascinating tale of believers uniting to share the gospel message of salvation and the hope and promise of eternal life.

The Last Disciple: Sharing the Gospel is the first book I have read written by Kurt Brouwer, and I look forward to reading more. This is the fifth book in The Last Disciple series, and though I did not read the other books in this series, it would be nice to go back and read from the beginning. I did not have too many issues just reading this as a standalone. Though I do plan on going back to the beginning of the series and reading it as a whole.

This year, I have had the pleasure of really diving into biblical fiction, and this book did not disappoint. I loved getting to see behind the scenes of the gospel of John. This book brought to life the disciple and author of the gospel of John. It was a great journey seeing the dedication that went into not only writing but also distributing the gospel in the early church days. This book brought the bible to life.

When we pick up a Bible for our morning devotions, we probably do not give much thought to how that Bible came to be. Brouwer gives us insight into how the early manuscripts, such as the one John wrote about the life of Christ, were copied and delivered to various churches. We also see how early gatherings might have developed and what they might have looked like. We read about the challenges new believers, such as merchants, faced in a pagan world. We also see how a new generation of leaders might have been mentored.

Brouwer has done a good job developing characters we read by name in the New Testament. An example is Timothy, as he works to overcome his timidity. I have enjoyed this series as Brouwer imagines how the church transitioned with new documents and new leaders during the early history of Christianity.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book through Celebrate Lit. My comments are an independent review.

What a wonderful story to walk beside John as he shares Jesus with others. It was interesting to watch how John worked tirelessly to complete the Gospel of John. I can imagine long nights with John pouring his heart out as he shares his experience with Jesus. A discipline who walked beside Jesus now carries a valuable scroll for others to read. The author does a great job of sharing the many trials John faced and how his love for Jesus was evident.

I love how John was so dedicated to getting the scroll into others hands. “ I’m eager to find a way to get small passages into the hands of those who love God.” It wasn’t easy to carry around a scroll but John knew how important it was for believers to read. Can you imagine the quickness in John’s spirit to get those precious words about Jesus to others? We should be like John and feel an urgency to share Jesus with others.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.

This fictional series about the apostle John and his life and activity in the early church bring the first century world to life and help readers imagine what it might have been like to witness this in person. The biblical novel rings with historical accuracy and with authentic human actions and reactions, making the realistic characters relatable and the story engaging, drawing readers in and making them care about these characters. This book deals with the actual Gospel as told by John and how it was shared in the early days. The tale shares a story of faith and faithfulness. Although fiction, it contains Bible truth and also quoted Scripture within the context of the drama on the page. I found it a compelling account. Of course, characters and added events were added by the author to flesh out the story, but they seem authentic and help readers identify with them. I received a copy from the author. All opinions are my own.

"The Last Disciple: Sharing the Gospel" by Kurt Brouwer is the fifth book in this series and I have really liked reading them all. These books are written so well that a reader can image that they are right there watching the scenes unfold as they are reading them. This book is about John and his helper's travels and struggles as they copy his scrolls and delivers them to the Christians in Antioch and Ephesians. Whether you are just learning who John was or have studied him for years, I believed you would enjoy this series. And if you haven't read the other books, I think you could read this one and enjoy it but as for me I am glad I read them in order and I say I think you should do yourself a favor and read them too.

This series is fascinating to me. I find that I thoroughly enjoy Biblical fiction. I love learning more about the lives of people in the Bible. This book brought to life what it might have been like for John and his fellow Christian laborers as they made copies of the Gospel of John to send to the surrounding churches. These are events we know happened, but we don’t fully think about or appreciate. I loved this book, and would highly recommend it.

Beautifully Crafted Series

If I have to have a favorite disciple, John would be the one. His Gospel is my favorite, along with the Book of Revelation. Mr Brouwer has written a spectacular series about the extraordinary man who knew Jesus and cared for Mother Mary. The characters in this series are well thought out and provide the reader with great insight to the other disciples through scripture. A must read for the beginner as well as a devout Christian. I look forward to the next book in this series when Brouwer covers the life of John on the island of Patmos.

The Last Disciple Series

The true-to-life writing in this series is so remarkable. The reader will get drawn to the story as if you are seeing it take place in real-time. I am a devout bible reader and I attest that the characters and happenings follow the Apostle John without disorder or discrepancy. I have totally forgotten anything and anyone while i was reading this book series. God filled Kurt Brouwer with words of wisdom and truth that will keep you mindful of the Apostle John's love for Christ Jesus, the Messiah and Lord.

Excellence

I have just finished the four book series plus the 18 page book. These keep you glued to your book. You want to see John and all the others as more than someone in the Bible. He became a friend and mentor.
I am hoping Mr Brouwer is going to finish this series with John being exiled Patmos.

The last disciple book #5 sharing the gospel

The best and biggest feature of this and all of this series is Kurt Browser's ability to put you in the same room of the characters of the story. I feel the emotion that they feel and as if I know all the characters personally. It

Is really a unique experience. Congratulations Kurt and God Bless your work.

Continuing the story of John after the earthly death of Mary. The completion and early distribution of the Gospel of John. While a story of John, the research Kurt Brower has undertaken has lead to a great series that seems as if this all could have happened as written.

Not quite as action-packed, or scary, as some of the others but excellent in a whole new way. The nuts and bolts, so to speak of preparing a written gospel is mine boggling
