More of the same as series goes through the ninth part and now four books to go. Nothing very inspiring or memorable, it is sometimes a chore to get through, but I will make it to the end, you never know things could get better!
Solaris is now the main piece of this puzzle yet to be unsolved in a world of monster dogs, dream competitions, and backstabbing backstabbers. Perhaps Sam will finally see that not all things are as black and white as he assumed.
This one was so good! A nail- biter at the end! I liked Issey’s story and everything that played out at Ghost Island was thrilling. Can’t wait to find out what happens next!
Stakes are still going up and now not just for Sam himself. A new element being introduced as well but I like it not as well as 6. But still with the race.
The plot layering continues as the story begins its run towards the end of the series, and it's great to see another Dreamer with a distinct personality. In fact, all of the Last Thirteen characters have distinct, recognisable characteristics – which is difficult to achieve in this format. The introduction of the Dreamer Doors competition also works well to bring the other characters back into the narrative.
Still action-packed, and did we get a hint of Solaris's true identity?
