When Astrid Sinclair was sixteen years old, she had her first encounter with Lord, the lone wolf who lived near No Wolves Road. He stopped her from getting run over, as she was so engrossed in her book. Lord was not a man anyone wanted to mess with. A grumpy, lonely wolf, with no pack.

But, he was also a man she couldn’t stop thinking about. That's why she answered his ad for a housekeeper and chose to work at his ranch.

Lord hated books. Yet, every day, he went to the library where Astrid worked. He needed a cook and a cleaner, and Astrid answered that ad. The job was hers.

He wasn’t good with people, but Astrid called to a part of him he didn’t know existed. Astrid was his, he was sure of it. One night, during the full moon, he went to her, and he couldn’t control his need. She gave her virginity to him, and in return, he called her a convenience.

Hurt. Betrayed. She tried to forget about him. She tried to build a life away from him, even as she continued to work. However, there were forces working to bring them together. Neither could fight it.

They were at the mercy of their needs. Would they be able to forget their past and fight for their future?

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

This is a lovely romance between two people who are loaners, but whom complement each other perfectly. I love Astrid and Lord. Astrid is brave, not saving the world brave, but taking that big step to try to get what you want. Lord is happy, but doesn’t realise he’s missing out, until Astrid arrives.
This is an excellent romantic read.

Lonely Wolf - No Wolves Road - Book 3 - Sam Crescent

This is the third book in the No Wolves Road series where a town houses both humans and wolf shifters and can be read as a standalone, the previous books in the series' characters are not involved in this story but are definitely still worth a read in my humble opinion.
At forty five Lord is a lone wolf without a pack. He doesn't need anyone as far as he is concerned especially the beautiful, human Astrid. He is happy working on his ranch, with the other ranch hands and Blake who is Lords true real friend even if Lord doesn't like to admit he actually has a friend. When Lord advertises for a cook and housekeeper he is shocked when Astrid Sinclair applies, at twenty six Astrid enjoys her own company and always has her head in a book but has secretly longed for Lord to notice her since he rescued her years before from being hit by a car. Astrid turns Lord's life upside down with her scent in every room and feeding him and his men delicious meals. However, when the full moon approaches he thinks he is stronger than his wolf, he can avoid the house but he underestimated his need to be with his true mate. After an amazing night Lord dismisses it as a convenience rather than the magical night it was which Astrid hears. Lord now has to win back his mate before he loses her forever. This was another great addition to a really enjoyable series. I loved the chemistry between Astrid and Lord. They are both endearing characters when put together show how incredible their bond truly is. This story had a great pace with lots of heat and a well deserved happily ever after. I am looking forward to more of this series in the future, Sam never disappoints. Happy Reading.
Please note that I was given an arc of this book for my honest review which is exactly what I have given.

Lonely Wolf is the third book in the No Wolves Road series, and it’s the kind of fated-mates romance that keeps you turning pages because you know they belong together, yet the characters insist on making you work for it.

Astrid and Lord are combustible in that way where every scene feels loaded with the pull. Lord is a grumpy, solitary wolf who would rather retreat into the woods (and his own stubbornness) than act on what's obvious: Astrid is his mate. He can try to deny it, but his instincts, and his constant orbit around her, tell the truth every time. Watching him fight the bond while still being unable to stay away is equal parts frustrating and wildly entertaining.

Astrid is easy to love: she’s a bookworm, a genuinely talented cook, and she’s been quietly carrying a soft spot for Lord for a long time. When she finally gets the chance to be close to him, it feels like the story is about to click into place, and then the emotional chaos hits. Miscommunication and shaky trust nearly send everything off the rails, and there were moments I wanted to shake them both and yell, “Just talk honestly to each other!” But that tension also makes the payoff sweeter, because the happily ever after isn’t handed to them, they have to earn it.

Add in engaging characters you can’t help rooting for, solid drama, spicy romance, and a touch of humor, and Lonely Wolf delivers a satisfying love story for anyone who enjoys grumpy heroes, devoted heroines, and fated mates who take the scenic route to forever.

Astrid Sinclair was human. Lord didn’t know what it was about her that drew him to her. When she applied for the cook’s job at the ranch, she was hired on the spot. She could take nothing and make it into something extraordinary. Lord may not have a pack but he has ranchers and Blake making things work. His wolf keeps telling him that Astrid is his but he keeps fighting it. She is human. When one full moon night changes everything, words are said that puts a wedge between them. Now Lord has to find a way to make it right. Astrid is a strong woman and has had a crush on Lord since he saved her. They had one magical night then he opened his mouth. Always saying the wrong thing and it messes it all up. Convenient?! Now Lord as to make it right. Thank goodness for Blake. He keeps pushing him in the right direction. It takes a snowstorm to finally make them both see what they have is real. It was so sweet.

Short but addictive so hang on you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned. Lord sexy as all get out lone wolf saved a human girl from being killed life went on but she never left his thoughts, dreams, and he always made sure to check on her throughout the years. Fast forward Astrid applied for a job on his ranch as their cook she is hired on the spot her boss notices she can turn anything they have on hand into a very tasty meal for a bunch of ranch hands and for her the pay isn’t bad. But the magnetic pull between them can’t be ignored in fact the more they try to remain boss/employee the stronger the pull until they give in one night and of course, he must be a guy says something stupid landing himself in hot water. Now he must try and figure out how to make it right with her being a lone wolf works against him, and his attitude about her being human throws his nerves into a tail spin but will she hear him out, will she believe him or try to understand him at the very least, and has she found her happiness with her lone wolf?

Astrid’s Lonely Wolf

Astrid and Lord have secretly been attracted to each other for some time. Lord saved Astrid when she was younger and she has loved him since that day.

Lord is a lone wolf and he is drawn to Astrid even though she is a human. The pull is getting stronger and harder to deny day by day. When Lord puts out an ad for a cook on his ranch, Astrid applies. Immediately hired, the close proximity between these two explodes into a passionate night in the woods.

When Astrid overhears Lord talking down about her, she’s crushed. Now she wants nothing to do with him and he realizes too late the gift he squandered. He has a lot of groveling to do.

This was an enjoyable read with a grumpy/sunshine vibe. Some good angst and drama to keep the story interesting.

Lonely Wolf is book 3 in The No Wolves Road series. A quiet town where wolves and humans live alongside one another.

In this book social outcast and sweetheart - Astrid applied for a job as a cook & housekeeper for grumpy & anti-social wolf - Lord as well as the guys who work for him. He's pretty much a lone wolf who doesn't like anyone (except his friend Blake) and isn't exactly friendly towards Astrid at all. One steamy night together and some hurtful words come between both of them. A blizzard helped them confront what is brewing between them. I loved Astrid. She was hard not to like in this book. She was pretty much ignored by her family but found a family within the guys she worked for. Which was endearing and even worked on hard-headed Lord. A heartwarming read with characters I really liked.

Lord is a lone wolf that is looking for a cook on his ranch. Astrid shows up for the live in position, he has been watching her for sometime. She is human and he should not be wanting her. Astrid has been in love with Lord since the day he saved her at sixteen. She is excited to work for him even if he is abrupt most of the time.

On the first full moon with her on the ranch, he carries her out to the woods and all her dreams come true until the morning, when she over hears him saying it meant nothing. Lord did not realize his mistake and that he hurt her and has to find a way to fix it or loose his mate forever.

So so good. I have read other novels from this series and enjoyed them. I was excited to jump back into this series. From the first chapter this novel captured my attention and held on tight until the very last page. I loved Lord and Astrid's story. Their chemistry was so good! I loved how Lord saved Astrid and watched over after that when she was just 16. My heart hurt for Astrid when she was older and overheard Lord tell someone she wasn't anyone special to him. I loved watching Lord have to win Astrid over to show her she was special to him. I loved watching Astrid lower her defenses and open her heart to him. Once I started reading I didn't want to put this novel down. I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next. So so good!

I am so obsessed with the No Wolves Road series!!! This book has to be my favorite in this series. I love a good grumpy/sunshine romance, but Sam Crescent just had to add to one of my favorite tropes with the grumpy lone wolf Lord and the sassy, sunshine and roses loyal human that is his mate to the mix, and it is an exciting, page-turning romance filled with a little drama, a whole lot of angst, and the spice was spot on. And of course, the grovel and determination Lord showed was swoon-worthy. I didn't put this book down until I reached the end. The characters were complex, had intriguing backstories, and the chemistry was undeniable and intense.

Although this is Book ok 3 of the No Wolves Road series it can be read as a standalone.
'They were at the mercy of their needs. Would they be able to forget their past and fight for their future?'

The plot was intriguing and intense. World building continues to excel and impress. The characters drove the storyline and they were very compelling and complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. All in all a great addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this series.

Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

This is the 3rd book in the No Wolves Road series but can be read as a stand-alone. It's Lord and Astrid's story and what a great addition to the series.  Lord is a pack less, lone (ly)wolf and Astrid's a human with no real friends. They are more alike than they know. Years earlier,  Lord saved Astrid's life and neither forgot about the encounter. When she takes a job working for Lord, neither realize the impact it will have on their lives. You have to read this to appreciate it so I won't give anything away. It's a short, emotional, enjoyable page turner. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book is full of spice and love. It has a good plot and the characters are full of life. Lord is a wolf shifter, who is a lone wolf. Years ago he saved Astrid's life and fell for her. She was human and he swore he would not fall for a human. However, she was his mate and he had no choice in the matter. Astrid loved him and fell for him, although there was a misunderstanding that came between them. Can they work through this mess or not? Read it and find out. I recommend this book to all paranormal romance readers.

I really enjoyed this book.
Lord saved Astrid from getting hit by a truck when she was so busy reading she wasn't paying attention to where she was walking. From that day forward she was obsessed with him. When she saw a posting from him for a living housekeeper and cook she applied. After a full moon hookup he blurted something to a friend that really hurt her. One of the things I appreciated about this book is she didn't instantly accept his apology. She made him earn I heard forgiveness and I really like that. Cuz too often books just gloss over things like that.

Apparently I'm an outlier here but I didn't care for this book. I liked Astrid at first but by the end I wanted to shake her, like girl! get yourself together, stand up for yourself, follow through, stop mooning over a guy who looked at you once. and Lord was the WORST. I usually love bad boy lone wolves but really? he was just a dick! happy to use Astrid for sex and cooking and housework but never considering her as a real mate until she starts drifting away from him. I just could not ship them together. oh and most of us read these books for the smut and that was really lacking. it was short, kinda vanilla and not engaging. not for me.

Ooh, a swoon-worthy read!

Lord had a secret obsession, he was a lone Wolf and didn’t need anyone, but he needed her.

This is an entertaining read, full of suppressed passion, you can feel their chemistry throughout the storyline but one little mistake changes everything and now Lord will do anything to please his mate and get her to forgive him.

I fell into this story and couldn’t put it down until the end.

This author has done it again, and created another great shifter read you’ll love.

We're drawn into the lives of Lord and Astrid. She's always had feelings for Lord, and to be closer to him, she decides to work for him. But she soon discovers that Lord feels differently, and through his actions and words, he's hurt her feelings, something she can't simply forget or get over. Will they have a future together, and will she be able to forgive Lord? A beautiful romance story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Astrid has been on Lord's radar for a while. He finds himself drawn to her, seeking to see her while she worked in the library.

He is kind of in denial about his true feelings for her, which he is faced to confront when she applies to become the cook at his ranch. Misunderstandings lead to Lord hurting Astrid and he has work to do to win her back.

Astrid is a sweet girl. Lord is a grumpy wolf who is lucky Astrid has fallen for him.

This was a fun read and a great addition to the series. I love how Lord manages to convince himself that he doesn't need a pack or a mate. Ha! Then why is he so into Astrid? ;P He does his best to keep on track but it's really a losing battle. Lol! Too bad he hurt Astrid in the process, though. Yeah, he gets some how-to advice on grovelling and he really needs it ;P I love that they did manage to work their way to a fab HEA, getting all the love they both deserve. Good fun!

Notes for me

Lord - lone wolf who owns a ranch

Astrid - introvert works at library.

He saved her years ago from walking into the street. She’s crushed on him ever since.

His POV shows he’s been aware of her too.

He posts a job for a cook/housekeeper hoping she’d apply.

Rest is similar to other two. They are intimate then she overhears him talking nonsense.

I enjoyed this entire series and bought all 3 books.

The Alones
This just hit the spot, a quick bit of talent from a fav writer of mine.
Of no pack, of no friends sticky feels with a bit a funny in the mix.
Yep souls differ spectrum yet close in life. Defitnely grumpy and sedate sunshine. For the length of the story the drama, the heat the feels work well.

Astrid and Lord’s story has him saving her when she was a teen and then years later she answers an ad for him as a cook/housekeeper. But one night things went to far and after words were said put a wedge between them. But when a storm had them together he makes up for his callousness.

I really enjoyed reading the story and felt a strong connection with the main characters. The blurb reflects the story, but it doesn't reveal how he managed to win his mate back, which made for an intriguing read. Hats off to the MMC for his efforts — he's not such a bad mate after all!.

Sam has done it again. I have been waiting for this book after reading the other 2. Nothing like an alpha man finding his one woman that is meant just for him. The chemistry is on point, and this is so well-written. I so enjoyed this book. this is a must read!!
