This story was fun to read, I love a good fake relationship that turns into more and that is exactly what we have here. There is some family drama on both sides but nothing that is over the top, and it is quickly resolved. Carrie Ann Ryan starts the First Time Series with a story that will have you pulling for the couple right from the very beginning. The chemistry between Heath and Devney was amazing, you felt it come alive when they were in a room together.

I had a lot of fun with these two! From the absurdity we start off with, until the craziness we end up with, there are a lot of moments that are characters are wondering “how did this happen?”. But, there are a lot of tender moments, sweet moments, and heated moments as well. There are times when where there is pain, confusion, and hurt. There is, but of course, a trip to the hospital, because, that always needs to happen 😉. This is a great start to this series, and we already get all the plans laid out for what is to come in the next two books, and I cannot wait!

Buckle up for the debut novel, Good Time Boyfriend, in the 'First Time' series by Carrie Ann Ryan.

We met Heath Cassidy, our MMC, when his sister Greer found her HEA in Best Friend Temptation and pretty much fell in love with him then.

My 'insta love' is duplicated by both Heath and Devney when they see each other across a crowded bar, although they don't see each other for some time afterwards.

When they eventually meet again, we discover that the story of Devney and Heath is simply amazing.

Heath is alternately sweet and spicy and Devney blossoms under his very handsome wing.

Not everything is plain sailing but the twists and turns make this novel a great start to a brand new series.

BEST REWARD!!!

Heath Cassidy and his siblings moved to Denver to put his family back together after their parents made and continue to make a mess of their relations. They were happy to be closer to their sister, Greer ( BEST-FRIEND TEMPTATION ).

He co-owns a bar with his best-friend, Ace. The most breathtaking woman walk into his place of business and he knew his life would never be the same again. One day, she came run after five people who came looking for him. Turned out that she needed his help and he was ready to give it to her, no matter what.

Devney Womack needed her meddling siblings to get off her case so she created a "fake boyfriend" who actually turned out to be a real person. She had a crush on the bearded bartender she met once at the new bar in downtown Denver. She never expected for her life to get turned upside down thanks to her little white lie. Her "fake boyfriend" agreed to help her out of her situation and one thing let to another. Now she had to rethink her whole plan.

Loved how overprotective her Devney's siblings were when they thought that big old mean, Heath had hurt their baby sister.
As Heath and Devney became closer, they both realized that they unknowingly lost their heart to each other. And when circumstances forced Heath to take drastic measures, he had to rely on his loved ones to help him see things differently.

The interaction between the Cassidys, the Johnsons, the Womacks, Ace and his fiancée, Grace, Addison and Paisley was heartwarming. They were all like a blended family.

GOOD TIME BOYFRIEND is the first installment in Carrie Ann Ryan's newest series, THE FIRST TIME . It was fun, intriguing and a fantastic read. Carrie Ann Ryan never cease to amaze me with her talent. She kept me hooked from start to finish. Can't wait for what comes next. Two thumbs up! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I borrowed the e-book on Libby and I need to go apologize to my library for forcing them to pay for this drivel. Ugh.

The dialogue in this book is TERRIBLE. It’s worse than “nobody actually talks like that”. It’s… “Does anyone talk normally in this book?” There are soooo many pointless details that people talk about that serve absolutely no purpose. It’s like the author came up with a list of “reasons why this character is awesome” and then proceeded to have everyone talk about it to each other. People crack jokes that are not funny. Everyone is perfect and their “flaws” are non-flaws. How on earth is a 24-yr-old the HEAD OF PR of a business?

Heath is soooo boring. His only personality trait is that he… wants to be overprotective of his sister but it’s too late because she doesn’t need it? He is so bland otherwise. Devney is incredibly bland. And she has the “oh it’s cute she just blurts out everything” trait, which is stupid and not even done right. And she’s so casual about being a virgin at the same time she’s so embarrassed by it. It’s like the whole premise of the book is that she’s a virgin and it’s a big deal for her to lose it to Heath, but that story point just came and went without fanfare.

Every single character in this book is so bland. For one thing, every character is either a main character from a previous book or a main character in a future book. So the author CAN’T give them any real character flaws.

This book reads like it was written by AI. Given the author’s proliferation, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was. It’s like the author had a list of “what I think are clever lines of dialogue that should appear in romance books” and then had the AI loosely form a story to connect them. And the lines of dialogue are not even good!

I had to skim most of this book. I just could not get myself to read it completely. I hope my library didn’t pay too much for this e-book license. It’s such a waste of taxpayer money.

What a great couple to start this series! Devney is the middle child in a huge family. They are always meddling in her life and trying to fix her up. When she creates a boyfriend from the hot bartender she met, they go to confront him for breaking up with her. Heath is dumbfounded by the group of siblings that are accusing him of dumping their sister, who just happens to be the woman he saw in the bar and can’t get off his mind. He agrees to be her pretend boyfriend, but he has other plans. As they get to know each other they begin to realize that just maybe they can make this relationship work. I loved the new characters that were introduced and catching up with past ones. I cannot wait for more!

Ohhh! This was a fun read. I was immediately lost in Devney’s and Heath’s story. Their first interaction in the book had me laughing out loud. Oops! Devney’s family loves her and just wants the best for her. But they can be a little overbearing, not to mention very large! Meanwhile Heath’s parents has caused him and his siblings trauma but the siblings are there for each other. I liked the way Devney and Heath were put together and I definitely enjoyed their journey of actually getting to know each other and to fall! These narrators did a great job of bringing these two together and I didn’t want the book to be over! Great start to the series! Can’t wait for the next book.

Good Time Boyfriend de Carrie Ann Ryan Serie Libro 1

Argumento:

Me dio mucha pena Devney.

This is my first read by Carrie, and absolutely won’t be my last. I loved this story and how quickly and easily I got sucked right in. This was a great palate cleanser after a very dark read.
This is a great kickoff to her new series, First Time. Heath and Devney running one another twice, by nothing short of fate. What first begins as fake dating/just for fun, quickly turns into something more when they immediately have undeniable chemistry between one another.
These two were great characters, I really loved learning about them and being on this journey with them.
It was definitely a binge read that was fun, minimal angst and plenty of delicious spice. This was the perfect contemporary, small town romance. I enjoyed every second of it and look forward to more of these characters ! Carrie ended this with a fantastic cliffhanger to get us ready for Luca and Addison!

It was fun to get to know Greer's brothers more in this one, especially Heath. I know we got the family history with Greer's book, but holy cow, I don't remember it being so bad! When the parents showed up all 4 siblings shut down, all of them so disgusted by what the parents said and did. You know if they could, they would never see them again. What sucked more was how this one visit threw everything that Heath and Devney built. From their cute meeting, to taking time to getting to know each other and just being really happy to spend time together. I was glad that they got back together, but hated the event that made that happen. With how this one ended, I'm really looking forward to the next one, seems like things were happening that we weren't aware of.

"Good Time Boyfriend" by Carrie Ann Ryan is a delightful rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish. The story kicks off with absurdity and keeps you hooked with moments that range from tender to heated. The characters' chemistry is palpable, adding depth to the narrative. The novel seamlessly blends humor with moments of pain, confusion, and hurt, making it a truly engaging read. As the first in the series, it sets a high standard and promises an exciting continuation. If you're seeking a book that will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between, "Good Time Boyfriend" is a must-read for contemporary romance fans.

I listened to the audiobook performed by Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder. They did an amazing job bring these characters to life. I highly recommend the audiobook.

I loved this book. It was a total five star for me. I was excited to read the first story of Greer’s (Best Friend Temptation) brothers.

I loved the tie to the Montgomery Legacy series and that we get to revisit Greer and see some of their HeA as well as the new friend group that’s growing in this Denver Based Book.
I don’t normally like Virgin tropes but it was done well and not the main focus like a lot of books are. It seemed to fit well with the fake dating and reason for the fake dating and the relationship felt very organic. That’s one thing about Carrie Ann Ryan that I love, her stories relationships don’t feel forced, they are always a breath of fresh air to read with huge close families of the characters.
I can not wait to read the rest of the Cassidy sibling stories.

Heath moved to Denver for a new start with his brothers and to get to know his sister. His family life was chaotic growing up and as adults he and his siblings have vowed to be the family they wanted as kids, even if they have to figure out what that looks like now. He co-owns a bar with his friend, Ace, and is building a solid life in his new hometown.

Devney is a long time Denver resident, but needed a reason for her siblings to stop setting her up on dates so she made up a boyfriend. The plan was going well until she mentioned she wasn’t with her boyfriend anymore and her 5 older siblings confronted the boyfriend at his place of business. Only, he didn’t know he was supposed to be her boyfriend, so she is surprised when he plays along with the charade.

As they spend time together pretending, they realize there is a connection and begin to have a little fun while they decide what to do next in their fake relationship. I loved the friendship they build fairly quickly and how that transferred into a deeper relationship.

As the first in a new series, there are a lot of new characters to meet and fall in love with. Devney’s friends are a lot of fun, and Heath’s brothers each have hidden hurts that I hope we get to see resolved. Devney’s family is huge -- 11 siblings between the steps and the halves -- and a hugely protective bunch. Both friends and family entered the action to keep things interesting and push the story in different directions.

This was a fun, easy read with a hit of emotion and heart. I love Carrie Ann Ryan’s huge families, and the way her stories pull me in. They always make great resets after particularly hard books, giving a perfect amount of depth without being too much to handle. I can’t wait for more from the Cassidys and Devney’s circle of friends, since that’s who it seems the Cassidy brothers are already drawn to!

**Audiobook Review**

Ever since meeting Greer's brothers in "Best Friend Temptation", I have been counting down the days until her siblings got their series. "Good Time Boyfriend" is a flirty, sweet and romantic fake dating romance that was the perfect start to the new series.

Devney is the middle child of 11 kids and is always under the microscope of her family, in the most caring way. So, to help get them off her back, she makes up a fake boyfriend and uses Heath as her inspiration. Heath and his siblings moved to Colorado to be closer to his sister, Greer. And there he opens his own bar. When a striking blonde he met a year earlier comes in with her siblings and they think he's dating, Heath goes along with it. Heath has nothing to gain out of it but he's a good guy and pretends to date Devney. But as they spend time together, a connection between them forms.

This was such a fun and flirty story. Heath and Devney were the perfect couple to start this story. Heath is such a great brother, and you can tell how much he loves his siblings. His need to help and protect shines through and that is apparent when helps Devney without a second thought. Devney is so sweet and relatable to me. She's also close with her siblings but struggles to stand out on her own. I loved the friendship they developed as they spent time together. They had flirty banter but connected on a deeper level. There are some parental issues with Heath, who are an absolute mess, but that mess helps him realize that he is worthy to have someone like Devney. I loved their families and I'm so excited for the rest of the series.

Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder narrate this story and I just loved listening to them so much. Teddy was the perfect choice to play the caring and protective Heath. And Emma was great as the sweet and loveable Devney.

I was so excited when I heard about this new series. I was not disappointed with book one. I was hooked as we learned about Heath and his family and their reason for being in Denver. Devney needs a boyfriend, and the bearded bartender could fit the bill.

A fun, quick read with plenty of heat and a few twists. I'm waiting for more from this series.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

This is a fun, pretty light story that is easy to read with likable characters. Heath and Devney are absolutely wonderful together. They each have a chip on their shoulder for various reasons, but are willing to give this fake/not fake relationship a go. I liked how slow the relationship was paced, nothing was fast or made to feel forced. They both went at their own pace and found what they were looking for.
The story has some spice, swearing, and overbearing (but lovable) families!

My review is written after listening to the audio version of this wonderful book. It's the first instalment in Carrie Ann Ryan's latest series and let me tell you it was a fantastic book that hooked me in from start to finish. I adored the characters Heath and Deveny and thought they were perfect for each other.

Heath Cassidy (we met briefly in Best Friend Temptation, Montgomery Ink Legacy book 4) and his siblings have moved to Denver to be closer to their sister Greer. His family is back together for the first time after being separated as children when their parents divorced. Greer going with their mother and all the boys with their father, This action has left lasting scars on all the Cassidys but especially Heath as he is the oldest,

He and his best friend, Ace own a bar and it was there that he first saw Deveny. It was just a look across a crowded bar but it was enough for neither of them to get the other out of their heads. So much so that he hardly, if ever, dated and she made him into her imaginary boyfriend to keep her over-protective family from trying to constantly fix her up!

But when Denver told her over-protective sibling that they were not together anymore, because, let's face it she couldn't introduce them, she never expected them to dash over to his bar and ask him why he hurt their sister! Nor did she expect the sexy bartender, Heath to play along and say they were only taking a break! From that point on everything changes for both of them, they become a couple who are together just for fun. Nothing serious and no strings, Heath becomes her Good Time Boyfriend.

But the more time they spend together the closer Heath and Devney become and they both realise that they have unintentionally fallen in love with each other. But then old hurts and fears resurface and Heat takes drastic measures. Fortunately, his loved ones helped him see things differently. But is it too late?

Against this backdrop, we are introduced to the Cassidys, the Johnsons, and the Womacks, who number many as she has five older step-siblings and five younger half-siblings. Ace and his fiancée, Grace and we also get to know her best friend Paisley and Deveney's Boss Addison who just happens to be Heath's brother Luca’s ex-wife!

This first instalment in Carrie Ann Ryan's newest series is fun, intriguing and sometimes moving. I can't wait to find out what Carrie Anne has in store for us next.

The narration is wonderfully performed by the super-talented Emma Wilder and Teddy Hamilton, they did an excellent job of bringing all of these characters to life.

Welcome back to Colorado, and the Cassidy brothers.

The Cassidy siblings: Heath, August, Greer, and Luca. Greer was featured in Best Friend Temptation (and first introduced in Longtime Crush), and it was within Best Friend Temptation that we first met her brothers.

They all ‘hail’ from Washington state…but decided to make Denver, Colorado their home. They’re trying to reconnect as siblings after growing up in a seriously dysfunctional spin-off of the ‘Parent Trap’.

Good-time Boyfriend is Heath & Denvey’s story. They’d ‘briefly’ met when Heath started working with a friend at the bar ‘Lost and Found’…they exchanged a few words…and that was the last Heath had seen of his mysterious woman…

Until a handful of people barged in one night…demanding to know why he’d broken their younger sister’s heart.

It turns out that Denvey comes from a family that could rival a certain other Denver family for butting into each other’s lives. She’d gotten tired of being set up on blind dates…so she ‘conjured’ up a fake-boyfriend; but one with a very real first name—Heath.

So what happens when Denvey needs a ‘fake’ boyfriend for awhile? Well…Heath is always a gentleman and ‘volunteers’ to act as her boyfriend for as long as she needs him.

Throw in Denvey’s large and overwhelming family; the Cassidy siblings, an appearance or two by an Montgomery…and you have drama in Denver again.

Can Denvey and Heath work through their issues? Will Denvey politely ask her elder siblings to give her breathing room…will there be cheese?

The answers..the drama…and the laughs are within the pages of Good-Time Boyfriend. I was ecstatic when Greer was introduced and she had ‘unattached’ brothers…because that meant another spin-off series within the greater Montgomery Ink world. I wonder if Denvey’s younger siblings will have a spin-off series in a year or two (need to let them all reach ‘adulthood’).

Talk about love at first sight with this start to this new series! Devney and Heath show that it is possible!

Devney has a chance meeting with Heath at his bar that later turns into her telling her family that she had been involved with him to avoid their 'good' intended matchmaking. When her family goes to confront Heath in his bar, she gets more than she was expecting from the encounter.

Heath recently relocated to the area as a way for him and his family to become closer to his sister, Greer. He could not stop thinking about Devney; he didn't know her name or if he would ever see her again until her family showed up at his bar. When her family confronts him, Heath decides to play along and 'create' a relationship with Devney, only to start having feelings for her.

Both characters have issues with their pasts and present. Devney with her overprotective family and not wanting to disappoint them, while Heath with his problems as to how his family was separated by his mentally abusive parents.

Will this pair get through their issues? One will have to read and find out.

So, overall, this was an excellent start to a new series. I enjoyed the new characters and the reappearance of some characters from the previous series. I thought the story was well written and moved along, keeping my interest in the story from start to finish. The chemistry between Devney and Heath was off the charts, and both characters were well-written. Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder performed the narration in the audio version of this book. The pair did a great job bringing this story to life, making it an enjoyable listening experience.

Overall, this was a great read that I enjoyed from start to finish. I would recommend this book to others.

Good Time Boyfriend is the first book in a new series from Carrie Ann Ryan and I have been looking forward to it since we met Heath in Best Friend Temptation. Heath totally lived up to the hype!

Heath Cassidy has moved to Denver with his two brothers, Luca and August, to be closer to their sister Greer after they were separated by their really horrible parents as kids. He’s opened a bar with his bestie, Ace, and daydreaming about a woman that he only glimpsed once. When that woman comes into the bar with her five siblings yelling that he broke her heart, of course he goes along with the story. Devney is the middle child of a big family (10 siblings) and to get her family off her back about dating, she kinda made up she was dating Heath thinking they would never find out. Now these two start a fake relationship to see if her little white lie could be a truth.

Heath and Devney have such a wonderful relationship from beginning to date to meeting each other’s families, they build a strong foundation to grow on. The families banter, meddling and arguing is perfect and we get Noah, Ford and Greer from Best Friend Temptation (which I loved). There is steam, heart and I have very strong feelings about the Cassidy parents.

I am obsessed with these characters- I need Luca’s book now (the last chapter of this one sets up that book and 🤯) also I will be waiting impatiently for August’s second chance romance. This book is definitely the most rom-com of Carrie Ann Ryan’s books and I am here for it.

Thank you to the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review, all thoughts are my own. Good Time Boyfriend has a pub date of January 22, 2024.

Heath and his brothers moved from Portland to Denver to be closer and build a relationship with their sister, Greer. Heath is the oldest Cassidy brother and part owner of a bar with his good friend, Ace. Devney Womack is the head of PR for a small business who loves her job and her family. Devney loves her family but doesn't love how they are always in her business and trying to set her up. Heath is confused when he is confronted by angry people yelling at him about breaking their sister's heart. Heath is surprised when Devney gets in between him and her angry siblings, and he realizes she is the one he can't stop thinking about after seeing her at the bar one night and not getting her number. Help Devney, Heath apologizes for hurting Devney before she sends her siblings and their spouses home. Heath and Devney spend the night together and agree to continue their fake relationship. What happens when their fake relationship turns real? How will Devney's family react when she tells them she lied about her relationship with Heath? Will Heath push Devney away because of his childhood and his parents' marriage? Will Devney's accident push Heath to confess his feelings to Devney? I loved Good Time Boyfriend by Carrie Ann Ryan. I love Heath and Devney! They have a fun relationship and amazing chemistry. Good Time Boyfriend has family, friends, hot chemistry, ex-wife/husband, and drama. I would highly recommend getting Good Time Boyfriend by Carrie Ann Ryan. I received an ARC copy of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Heath and his brothers moved to Denver to be closer to their sister Greer in order to rebuild their family after their parents kept them separated. Co-owning a bar with his best friend Ace is when he first sees Devney when see stops by his bar.

Devney is from a large blended family. Her older siblings are constantly trying to set her up which causes her to make up a fake boyfriend based on a bar owner (Heath) she only had a glance at; this goes on for about a year until she tells her family they've broken up causing them to confront him at his bar for hurting their sister. When Devney tries to defuse the situation with her family, Heath decides to play along and explains they were taking a break. Once her family leaves, Heath wants an explanation about what just happened and when Devney explains why it happened, he convinces her to go on a real date with him to ease her guilt about lying to her family.

Their chemistry is so strong, their fake relationship turns into a hot, steamy and fun real one. Just when things start to get serious between Heath and Devney, his parents unexpectedly show up and cause Heath's insecurities about love and relationships question if he's good enough for Devney. Will Heath get out of his own way and get his HEA with Devney or will he let his insecurities get the best of him.

Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder are perfect narrators for Heath and Emma. Great first book in this new series. Carrie Ann does not disappoint.

I listened to Good Time Boyfriend by Carrie Ann Ryan and truly enjoyed it. Narrated by Teddy Hamilton (whom I just adore) and Emma Wilder, this is the start of a new series, First Time, and you do not have to read any previous books, however, if you have read this author for a while, this is the start of Greer’s brothers stories. This is a great place to jump in. I have been reading this author’s books for a while and I just love them. Heath is the oldest of the siblings and settling in after all the brothers moved to be closer to his sister. His family history is not good and affected how they grew up and handle relationships. Heath was caring, protective, loyal, however, struggled to accept what he could give Devney. Devney comes from a big family and as the literal middle child, they protect her obsessively. Which is how they find themselves in the predicament they are in.

Devney wanted some breathing room from her family and made up a teeny, tiny lie about a non-existent boyfriend. Enter fake boyfriend Heath with a very real attraction. Devney is sweet, considerate, and very likable. They had met a year ago, however, neither forgot the other. Now they are spending time together, getting to know each other and trying to see what is between them. I loved their story so much. It was overall a fun, charming read, but it had its moments of being emotional and touching. I loved and am excited to see what is coming next in the series!

Happy listening!

I really enjoyed this one a lot. It pulled me in from beginning to end and I loved getting to know Devney and Heath. This is a bit of a spin off series while also being a standalone as well. We met Heath in his sister's book (Best Friend Temptation) but it does stand and start all by itself just fine. Heath and Devney start out with a fake/pretend relationship that Devney made up to get her family off her back about dating and when she ends the fake relationship they show up to talk to Heath, who had no idea about it. I loved that they both remembered each other and were drawn from the very beginning and when this all occurs, Heath takes the opportunity to ask her out and things take off from there. There was plenty of things going on in this story to hold my attention and keep the story moving forward. I loved how they moved at a speed that worked from them and started to get to know each other without a whole bunch of pressure. They all just fit together when they started adding their friends and families as well. This story was fun and entertaining the entire time. It is well written and I loved the banter and teasing throughout the story. I can't wait to get the rest of the Cassidy brother's books and see what is going on with them.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I voluntarily revuwed a copy of "GOOD TIME BOYFRIEND" This is a great spinoff to this new series that books you from the start full of humor, angst, intrigue, interfering siblings, secrets, lies, steam, you'll be turning the pages to the end.
Heath Cassidy & siblings moved to Denver Colorado to be closer to their sister Greer to try to put the family back together, he buys a bar with his BF friend Ace this where he first sees Denvy Womack in the crowd their was a connection, she used him as her fake boyfriend to get her family off her back, but she never expected them to go & confront him for breaking her heart luckily Heath played along & said they were just taking a break.
Heath & Denvy become a fake couple, nothing serious, no ties, just for fun & get her family to stop trying to hook her up on dates, but the more time they spend together things start to change, old hurts & fears resurface, causing things to be a problem but his family trys to help him see things are different.
I definitely recommend to get this delightful jouney Heath & Denvy take you on, can he overcome his past issues or is it to late, will he & Denvy get a HEA, its a must read you don't want to miss.
I'm so looking forward to the next book in this new series "LAST MINUTE FIANCE" to come.
EXCELLENT START TO THIS NEW SPINOFF SERIES I LOVED IT 🖤 🖤 🖤 🖤 🖤

One little white lie leads to two little white lies which leads to three little white lies and so on and so on until the lies become so large there is no way to come back to the truth; so Devney Womack has discovered. Being the middle child of eleven children, five older step siblings and five younger half siblings, often times leads Devney to be the center of everyone's attention. All she wants is to live her quiet life, working a job that she loves, spending her free time with her childhood best friend but everyone is so intent on setting her up with the perfect man.

Heath Cassidy is unaware that he has been someone's fake boyfriend for the past year. He and his two brothers, August and Luca, have moved to Denver, Colorado to be closer to their sister Greer (Yes! That Greer, the one from Best Friend Temptation!). A year prior, Heath opened a bar called the Lost and Found with his friend Ace. One night all hell breaks loose when a beautiful woman, he has only seen only once in his life but can't get out of his mind, walks in with her brothers and sisters. He is shocked that they are accusing him of breaking their little sister's heart. So what does Heath do? He apologizes. When else is he going to get to get another opportunity to know this woman better?

The first book in this new series by Carrie Ann Ryan began with a huge bang from the get go. High energy and fast paced from page one, I found that I couldn't put this book down. Devney's family is overbearing and can be a lot at times but their dynamic is amazing and their hearts are in the right place. For three separate families to come together and get along as well as they do is truly heartwarming. The Cassidy's come from an extremely broken family. A totally different situation from Devney's family. The four siblings are working hard to move pass their warped childhood and to get to someplace better. I am excited to see where the Cassidy family's story takes us.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved the way this one opens - loved the funny meet cute and really enjoyed all of this story from start to finish. Devney has is smack in the middle of her ten, yes ten, siblings. Her five older stepsiblings want her to find the happiness they have with their own spouses and children so to get them to stop setting her up with people she invents a boyfriend - they bar owner she saw at a bar owner and couldn't get out of her head. Of course then when she invents the mutual break up a year later, they show up at his bar to play the protective older siblings and play along with Devney's lies. Thus begins their "fake dating" relationship that unbeknownst to each feels more real than anything they have done before.

Good Time Boyfriend was a lot of fun, not just because of the fake dating and family antics, but because of meeting all of Heath's family and Devney's friends, all of whom I'm hoping will get books of their own during the course of this series! There are heavier moments in this story since Heath has his own issues with his toxic parents and the damage they've inflicted on him and his siblings, and Devney also has some issues being the middle child of such a large group of siblings. Definitely makes for a fun and interesting story!
