“There are off limits relationships… and then there’s us.”
When I chase a childhood dream and buy the San Francisco Storm football team, I don’t expect it to change me.

But from the moment I cross paths with Keeley Reynolds, the team’s confident and fiercely loyal media liaison, something clicks into place.

Our connection is instant. The kind of friendship, trust, and understanding that feels dangerously rare.

I can’t stay away.

Late-night strategy sessions blur into quiet moments in empty stadiums, and before long, boundaries shift, fading the professional line we can’t afford to cross.

Because off-limits doesn’t begin to cover it.

She’s thirty-three to my fifty-two. I’m her boss. And when my daughter marries her brother, she’ll be family.

I’m not a man who wants things he shouldn’t. But I’m also not a man without regrets. The kind of relationship failures that follow a person around.

Keeley sees me in ways no one else has, and for the first time in years, I want to let someone else in. More than that, I want to deserve it.

But wanting her and being right for her are two very different things. The question is—which one of us will break first?

Fierce Storm is a workplace, age gap sports romance. This angsty interconnected standalone contain adult language and themes.

Some books are impossible to put down, and this was one of them.

From the moment I started, I was completely invested in Sal and Keeley’s story, and by the end, they had firmly claimed a spot among my favorite couples in the series.

What I loved most was how naturally their relationship unfolded. Their connection was built on friendship, trust, and genuine understanding, which made every moment between them feel meaningful. The slow burn was packed with tension, longing, and emotion, and I adored watching two people who cared so deeply for each other finally realize they deserved their own happiness. Sal’s vulnerability and Keeley’s strength balanced each other perfectly, making it impossible not to root for them.

This book had everything I love in a romance: heart, humor, swoon-worthy moments, and a found family that felt just as special as the love story itself. I laughed, smiled, and got emotional right alongside these characters, and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect ending.

It was emotional, romantic, deeply satisfying, and the perfect farewell to a series I adore.

Huge thank you to Katherine Jay and The Author Agency for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨

It's hard to believe we've reached the end of Katherine Jay's San Francisco End Game series. I've loved every book and every couple along the way, so saying goodbye to this world was definitely bittersweet. I was so happy that Sal and Keeley finally got their happily ever after in Fierce Storm, and I think they were the perfect couple to close out the series.

Keeley quickly became one of my favorite heroines in the series. She's endlessly generous with her time and energy, always making sure everyone around her is taken care of before thinking about herself. Seeing Sal notice that and gradually become the person who wanted to take care of her instead was incredibly sweet. Their conversations felt effortless, and every interaction reinforced how naturally they fit together.

Sal completely won me over. Beneath the successful businessman was a man carrying a lot of regret and uncertainty, and I loved that vulnerable side of him. Rather than assuming he deserved Keeley, he questioned whether he was enough for her, which made his feelings feel all the more genuine. He was protective without being controlling, thoughtful in the little things, and the kind of hero who quietly shows his love through his actions.

Their romance was my favorite part of the book. The friendship they already shared gave their relationship such a strong emotional foundation, making every step toward something more feel believable. Even with the age gap and everything standing in their way, they never lost sight of the respect and admiration they had for one another. I especially loved watching them realize that life didn't have to revolve entirely around work and that they deserved to choose happiness for themselves.

This was definitely a slow burn, but it never felt frustrating. The anticipation built steadily as workplace boundaries, family connections, and outside opinions kept pulling them in opposite directions. By the time they finally gave in to what had been building between them, it felt completely deserved. Their chemistry was fantastic, and when the romance finally became physical, it felt like a natural extension of the emotional connection they'd already built.

One of my favorite quotes from the book that perfectly sums up their relationship: "We've been a team from the start; we'll be a team until the end. It's Keeley and me. Always." 🥹❤️

The supporting cast added so much life to the story as well. The group chats, text exchanges, and playful interactions brought plenty of humor and kept the book from ever feeling too heavy. They also reminded me why I've become so attached to this entire series and its characters.

There was really only one thing that kept this from being a five-star read for me, and that was the pacing. At over 560 pages, I do think the story was longer than it needed to be. The first half, in particular, felt quite slow, and I found myself wishing the plot moved along a little faster. I think trimming around 100–150 pages would have tightened the pacing without taking away from the emotional journey.

One thing I will say to anyone thinking about picking this up: please don't let anyone tell you these books can be read as standalones. Technically they can, but I really don't think you'll get the same experience. These books are so interconnected that I would absolutely recommend starting with book one. Watching these friendships, relationships, and family dynamics develop across the entire series made the payoff in this final installment so much more meaningful.

Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better ending to a series I've loved from the very beginning. Now I'm just impatiently waiting to see what Katherine Jay writes next.

ARC REVIEW

This is my first Katherine Jay story and what drew my attention to it was reading this … “She’s thirty-three to my fifty-two. I’m her boss. And when my daughter marries her brother, she’ll be family.”, and if you know me at all … obvs I’m reading that! Funnily enough, it was not the least bit what I expected. Like you read that sentence and you think drama, right? Like it’s gonna be soap opera time up in this story. Well, it was and it wasn’t.

The drama was there from all angels, but it was never dramatic. Nothing popped or screamed “wow”, and I kept expecting something to pop because did you read that sentence?

One of the biggest disappointments I had with this story came from the friendship between Sal & Keeley. I was not witness to it. I never got to experience any of it and that’s a huge part of a romance journey. So, I was really bummed when we didn’t even get flashbacks or something! The only thing I know for sure is that it happened somewhere between the prologue and chapter 1, sixteen months later. So the story begins as them being the best of friends and then it takes almost 40% before anything past friendship happens. What? And the thing is, I wasn’t bored those 40%, per say, but I sure was a little twitchy. I wasn’t bored because there is a lot going on in this story outside the romance of two people. A lot. And most of it is unresolved issues from past books. (I have KU so I was able to download and skim) Which leads me to my second biggest disappointment. Please do not let anyone tell you that these are standalone books because they are not! #fightme They are more than interconnected, they are connected, in my humble opinion. If you don’t want to fell like me, please begin this series with the first book. You can thank me later.

So, as you can tell, this was not a #winning experience for me, however, now that I know her style, I’ll be better prepared next time I decide top ick up a book by this author and I’m kind of invested in this team and these people so I might just start at the beginning and not skim. *shrug*

Get ready for Sal and Keeley. These two are fantastic and have such a wonderful story. Be sure to add to your TBR-it’s a must read. Catch up with the rest of the Sam Francisco Storm starting with Beautiful Storm (End Game #1) while you wait for release.

UPDATE

I have been dying for this book since we met Sal in book 2. Now that it’s here, it is everything I could have wanted and that much more! It was the perfect ending for this series, and these two characters.

Keeley is everything! I can not say enough good things about her. She is passionate, hardworking, funny, elegant, and just and overall beautiful character. She is incredibly strong and loves her family and friends fiercely. Her confidence and whit is inspiring.
Sal…my oh my Salvatore D’Angelo aka Daddy D, iykyk, is top book husband material. This man has come a long way in opening up not only his heart but his whole life to be more than just his work; to have more family/friends time and of course love. He is protective in the best way, and I loved watching him grow and get a second chance at the life he never thought he deserved.

Honestly, I can’t say much more than how incredibly perfect these two are for each other. From their meet cute and every moment after you can just tell. The banter, the comfort, the flirting and fun between them was perfectly executed. You could feel their connection and the tension building in every scene. This was a slow burn, but in the best way. Both Sal and Keeley had their reservation and fears, all which were valid. But I was dying for them to finally give in to their feelings and lay it all on the line. It was easy to see the love they shared-not to mention the insane chemistry.

I was on the edge of my seat with these two, but also swooned and laughed at every turn of the page. I truly enjoyed their journey and watching everything unfold: it was organic and real-a true friends to lovers. The side story was also very gripping, and I loved how much of a team these two are. How much they value one another, find a safe space in just being together all while showcasing a care they both have for friends and family.

I didn’t want their story to be over; my heart was so full by then end of this book. The epilogues too, so special. I will read anything by this author, I just love her writing, the angst and found family-I try not to play favourites but Keeley and Sal absolutely are near the top. This and the whole End Game series are must reads!

This is the fifth book in this impressive series, and this is Keeley and Salvatore’s story.
Sal follows his childhood dream, and buys the San Francisco football team, while Keeley is the confident and fiercely loyal media liaison. There is an instant attraction between these two, but he is Keeley’s best friend Paige’s dad, who is going to marry Keeley’s brother, who is also a member of the team. Sal and Keeley are both workaholics, but the sparks fly, and they compliment each other perfectly.
This is a well written east to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, suspense, intrigue, angst, trauma, trust, an age gap, workplace romance, boss / employee, forbidden, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, football romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Omgosh, Sal had what felt like everything against him when he met Keeley and developed feelings for her. She was his daughter’s best friend, his daughter was marrying Keeleys brother, and there was an age gap. That was a lot to digest. But at the same time, they’re attracted to one another, they enjoy one another’s company, and they connect so well. This was an amazing story going through what skills be right but felt so wrong, their emotions, and so much more. I loved this, and I loved them.

I really enjoyed this one! Katherine Jay’s writing continues to work for me, and just like the previous book, I was hooked from start to finish.

Sal and Keely were both easy to love, and I enjoyed following their journey together. I also loved being back in this world and seeing familiar characters from the earlier books.

The storyline kept me engaged the whole way through, and overall, this was such a fun read. I’m definitely excited to read more from this author!

Thank you The Author Agency and Katherine Jay for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

🌶️🌶️ Spice

There is something incredibly special about watching two people find exactly what they need in each other when neither of them expected it.

Fierce Storm completely stole my heart.

Even though this is the fifth book in the San Francisco End Game series, it was my first time reading a story centered around Salvatore D'Angelo and Keeley Reynolds. By the time I turned the final page, I couldn't imagine a more perfect ending for this series.

Let's start with Keeley.

Keeley is everything.

She is confident, hardworking, funny, compassionate, fiercely loyal, and completely unapologetic about who she is. She loves her family and friends with her whole heart, works tirelessly for the people she cares about, and never loses her sense of humor along the way. Every scene she appeared in felt brighter because of her presence. She is easily one of my favorite heroines Katherine Jay has written.

And then there's Salvatore D'Angelo.

Or as some readers may lovingly refer to him...

Daddy D. 😏

Sal is top-tier book husband material. Beneath the billionaire owner exterior is a man carrying years of guilt, regret, and missed opportunities. Watching him slowly realize that life could be about more than work was one of the most rewarding parts of the entire story. He spent so much of his life believing he didn't deserve happiness, and seeing him finally open his heart to love, family, and the future he truly wanted was beautiful.

The relationship between Sal and Keeley felt incredibly natural.

Their friendship was already built on trust, respect, comfort, and understanding long before either of them acted on their feelings. Because of that, every moment between them felt authentic. The banter was effortless, the chemistry was undeniable, and the emotional connection was apparent from the very beginning.

This is very much a slow burn romance, but it's the kind of slow burn that makes every glance, every conversation, and every small moment matter. Their fears and reservations were understandable, which made it impossible not to root for them while simultaneously wanting to lock them in a room until they finally admitted their feelings.

The age gap, workplace dynamic, and future family connection could have easily felt complicated, but Katherine Jay handled each element with such care that the relationship never felt awkward or forced. Instead, it felt mature, genuine, and exactly right for both characters.

One of my favorite aspects of the story was seeing how much of a team Keeley and Sal became. Whether navigating personal challenges, supporting family, or facing the suspenseful events unfolding around them, they continually showed up for each other. Their relationship was built on partnership, trust, and unwavering support.

The humor throughout the book was another highlight. The family reactions, the group chats, and especially the stepmom jokes had me laughing out loud. The found family element that has made this series so beloved was on full display, and it added so much warmth to an already emotional story.

As much as I adored the romance, I also appreciated the suspense woven throughout the story. It added tension without overshadowing the relationship and kept me fully invested in what would happen next.

And those epilogues?

Absolutely perfect.

They wrapped up not only Sal and Keeley's story but also provided such a satisfying farewell to a series that has delivered unforgettable characters, romance, friendship, and heart.

Fierce Storm is everything I love in a romance: emotional, heartfelt, funny, swoony, and filled with characters who feel like family. Sal and Keeley are proof that it's never too late to open your heart and choose the life you've always deserved.

Thank you to Katherine Jay and The Author Agency for the opportunity to read and review an advance copy of Fierce Storm. This was a beautiful ending to an incredible series and one I won't be forgetting anytime soon.

(I received an ARC for this book)

trigger warnings will be at the bottom of this review, to avoid spoilers
the unfair treatment, discrimination, and disrespect of women in the workplace (specifically sports) of females plays out on page
discussions of past trauma, complicated family dynamics, parent with health concerns, blackmail, loss of life is discussed on page in multitude of reasons

While Fierce Storm can be read as a standalone, it takes place after the events of book four, Careless Storm, and contains spoilers for that book. The beginning of this book focuses on the characters and storyline of that book.

Sal and Keeley are perfectly exactly what I needed and wanted! This is a 1,000% right book right time serendipity written by one of my unicorns. It doesn’t get better than that folks! I have officially, no question or hesitation, found my favorite couple of the series! And, my favorite book of the series! This book perfectly encapsulated everything I love about this series (what I loved about the Heartstrings series too) and Katherine’s writing. THIS is why she is, and always will be a unicorn author for me. These two brought me to tears. This…emotion. It’s loud, it’s bright, it’s fierce. And not just their love either. Them. Sal. Keeley. Together. This book is aptly named, that’s for sure. And thanks to their connections to previous books and characters/couples, this felt like coming home. It made everything feel deeper. The camaraderie, love, the beautiful strength and vulnerability. Sal and Keeley have a very beautiful friendship. They’re the cliche “work husband/wife”. But it’s also complicated because of the bubble they’re in. And who’s related to who. And who works for who. And…well, everything. You could feel how much they made sense from the beginning. There’s so much transparency, honesty, and trust between them. Sal and Keeley became each other’s safe, and there’s nothing more beautiful than that. This also tackles some tough topics, in such a compassionate way. Also! Sal is the golden standard for sports team owners. (As a sports fan, I hate it here…we NEED more Sals!)

My Favorite Quotes:
• “You’re my rock. Let me be yours.”
• “You deserve to be worshipped.”
• “I want you to destroy me.”
• “I want to hear you moan my name, not God’s, when I’m making you scream. I’ve spent far too long thinking about how delicious it would sound. I’m not giving someone else the credit.”
• “You’re always the most beautiful woman in the room.”
• “You’re allowed to be vulnerable.”
• “I want to feel you when I come.”
• “I’m done pretending I’m not falling in love with you.”
• “I love you exactly as you are.”
• “You’re my safe place.”

Trigger Warnings include:
discussions of past sexual assault (the person comes back into her life and is on page speaking to her), coping with past trauma, parent with ALS (complications/fall on page), death after life support (this technically occurs in the previous book, but the storylines overlap), discussion of a pregnancy with physical and mental complications, miscarriage

I swear, the San Francisco End Game series has to be one of my all-time favourite series and Katherine Jay has done it again with Fierce Storm. I absolutely adored this book from beginning to end and Sal and Keeley completely owned my heart.

There are off-limits romances and then there is THIS. The age gap, the workplace relationship, the fact that they’re about to become family by marriage, the fears, the regrets, the emotional baggage… there were so many obstacles standing in their way and I was invested in every single second of it.

Sal and Keeley were simply perfect for each other. There was never a moment where I doubted that these two belonged together. Their connection went so much deeper than attraction. It was built on friendship, trust, understanding, and those quiet moments that somehow said more than grand gestures ever could. I loved watching their relationship evolve and seeing them slowly realize that what they had was too special to ignore.

And Sal… goodness, I loved this man. He wasn’t some arrogant billionaire who thought he had all the answers. He carried regrets and insecurities and genuinely questioned whether he deserved a second chance at happiness. Watching him fall for Keeley and struggle with wanting her while worrying that he wasn’t enough for her absolutely wrecked me in the best possible way. He was thoughtful, caring, protective, and so incredibly swoony.

Keeley was equally amazing. She was confident, fiercely loyal, intelligent, and had such a huge heart. I loved how she understood Sal in a way no one else seemed to. She never tried to change him, she simply loved him, flaws and all. Together they brought out the best in each other and I honestly couldn’t imagine either of them with anyone else.

The chemistry between them was off the charts, but what really got me was the emotional intimacy. Their late-night conversations, the quiet moments in empty stadiums, the little looks and gestures… it all felt so real and heartfelt. Katherine Jay made me believe in them completely.

And the angst! Oh, the angst. I lived for every bit of it. The push and pull, the fears, the doubts, the longing. My emotions were all over the place. One chapter had me smiling like an idiot and the next had me clutching my chest wondering how these two were ever going to make it work. I was fully invested and could not put this book down.

One of the things I love most about this series is how every couple feels unique and memorable, and Sal and Keeley are definitely one of my favourites. Their love story felt mature, emotional, and deeply romantic. It reminded me that love doesn’t come with an expiration date and that sometimes the right person comes along when you least expect it.

By the end I was emotional, happy, and honestly not ready to say goodbye. Katherine Jay delivered another unforgettable romance filled with heart, longing, beautiful character growth, and a couple I will be thinking about for a long time.

Fierce Storm was everything I wanted and more. Sal and Keeley were absolutely perfect for each other and I loved every single page. This entire series is pure magic for me and I already can’t wait to see what Katherine Jay gives us next.

If you love age-gap romance, workplace romance, angst, amazing chemistry, and couples whose love feels real and earned, you need this book in your life.

Absolutely, completely, wholeheartedly a five-star read. ❤️🏈🥹

Book 5 (and final book) in The San Francisco End Game Series

🏈Son in law’s sister
🏈Daughter’s best friend
🏈Friends to lovers

My girl Katherine Jay has done it AGAIN! Fierce Storm was truly a FIERCE STORM! This is the 5th and final book in this series and it was such a great book and a great way to end the series. Salvatore “Sal”, “Daddy D” DeAngelo our silver fox is the proud new owner of the San Francisco Storm and he meets Keeley “Keele” Reynolds on his first day. She is the team’s PR and media liaison and what started out as friendship, slowly, very slowly developed into something more between them. Unfortunately, there are many reasons why this relationship cannot work. To start off, Keeley is his daughter’s best friend, the same daughter who is about to marry Keeley’s brother (yup you read that correctly), she is also his employee AND there is a 20 year gap in age. Despite their best efforts, their connection continues to deepen and neither one can stay away. Once those walls come down and Sal realizes that he cannot and will not go another day without Keeley, it’s game on! I loved Sal and Keeley together, despite the age gap, they work - they understood each other without saying a word, their relationship was built on a friendship which both have mutual respect for each other. Despite Keeley being younger, I felt like she was an old soul within - I loved watching them both realize that there is more to life than work and you can learn to balance life without being a workaholic.

❥”What do we do from here?”
“First, I’m going to kiss that beautiful mouth of yours ours and then…”
“Then?”
“How about we agree to work through this mess together?”
“That’s probably a good idea. We do work better as a team. First, back to the kissing”

I loved seeing the whole Storm family in this book, the banter between all the character’s including Sal and Keeley was so on point. I LOVED the text chain and I LOVED that Luke brought the group chat back and added Sal to it. I loved this whole series and I loved this journey with the Storm team/family! This was such a great read from the first page all the way to the very last. As the final chapter in the San Francisco End Game series, this was the perfect wrap up to all the storylines and watching Sal and Keeley get their happily ever after was the icing on the cake. If you have not read any of the previous books in this series, I recommend it 100%. Start from the beginning with Beautiful Storm and thank me later. I LOVED every single one of these books and the couples but all good things must come to an end and this was such a great ending to such a great series. Katherine Jay, I adore you and I cannot wait for our next journey! Thank you to author Katherine Jay and The Author Agency for this opportunity to read this eARC. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

What an amazing end to such a great series! Fierce Storm is the last book in the San Francisco End Game series and omg was it worth the wait! If you love football romances with so much angst and slow burn, yearning and tension, a delicious age gap and an amazing found family, you need this book and series in your life!

Keeley and Sal. This woman, she is FIERCE, strong, such a freaking bad a$$ boss! Used to doing it all, taking care of herself, doing all the PR for the Storm football team, but really she does it all and takes care of everyone. But she’s also been through a trauma that she came back from as a true survivor. Giving her all to her work, love has no time in her life. Sal. THIS MAN!! There is something about a billionaire silver fox with so much confidence yet no arrogance and in fact a lot of insecurities down deep. This man gets it done YET is so loving, protective and caring of those around him. Owner of a struggling team and trying to do it all. He also has no time for love. One failed marriage and trying to regain a good relationship with his grown children, it's all enough for him. But that's where Katehrine writes it so well. How she brings these two together first as coworkers and then such a beautiful and deep friendship grows. A bond that brings them together so strong, always there for each other. There is so much that could prevent this happening. He's her boss. His daughter is her best friend. Her brother is on his team AND marrying Sal’s daughter. It's all kinds of blurred lines. Add in a perfect age gap which he struggles with. But life happens, thoughts and feelings start to come to play and OMG. The tension, the slow burn, the angst between these two is pure fire! And when they give in, HOT and this man’s mouth, yes please!

Add in the found family of this series, it is pure perfection!

This story completely stole my heart. Their relationship felt so raw, real, vulnerable and so deeply emotional. Katherine Jay has a way of creating romances that make you feel every emotion soul deep. This one was everything I hoped it would be and so much more.

Fierce Storm, the fifth book in the San Francisco End Game series, was my first read from this author, and it certainly won’t be my last. Featuring silver fox hero Salvatore D’Angelo, the team’s new owner, and media liaison Keeley Richards, this story delivers a compelling slow-burn romance packed with tension, all the feels, and undeniable chemistry between the protagonists and, despite being the fifth book in the series, this can easily be enjoyed as a standalone. I never felt lost or disconnected from the story, although it definitely left me wanting to go back and read the earlier books.

What I loved most was how naturally Sal and Keeley’s relationship develops. Their connection begins as a genuine friendship built on trust and unwavering support rather than an instant attraction. Sal is constantly aware of the obstacles standing between them - a large age gap, a professional relationship, and the fact that his daughter is about to marry Keeley’s brother. With so many reasons to keep their relationship platonic, their growing feelings felt realistic and earned, making every step forward all the more satisfying. The age-gap aspect was handled particularly well with the significant difference in age of nearly twenty years adding another layer of complexity to their relationship without overshadowing the emotional depth of the story. Combined with the slow-burn pacing, lingering tension, and moments of angst, it creates a romance that feels believable. Keeley is the kind of heroine who is impossible not to root for. She constantly puts others before herself, always willing to go the extra mile for those she cares about. Watching Sal recognise that and make it his mission to put her first for a change was one of the most heartwarming aspects of the book. Their banter and conversations were another highlight, flowing naturally and showcasing just how perfectly suited they were to one another.

Overall, Fierce Storm is an engaging, emotional romance with a wonderful blend of slow-burn tension, a significant age gap, and strong found-family themes. If those are tropes you enjoy, this book is definitely worth adding to your reading list.

Thank you to the author for a copy of this title, I really enjoyed the push and pull of this plot and the well wrapped ending to the series, the San Francisco End Game. I am jumping in at the end, and appreciated that the author let me know there would be spoilers for the others titles in the series. I personally am not as offended by spoilers, so I’ll have no problem going back to read the previous titles. They seem quite interested based on the character interactions and found family going on in this one.

For the final in the series, we’ve got the Team owner and the PR manager for the team who have a friendship that’s built on relationships close to them. They’re in some ways the last two singles standing in the group, and despite them trying to keep it cool and discreet, they’re totally into each other… but doing the dance around each other at the same time.

I think an interesting aspect of the “slow burn” that happens here, is that while it’s a fairly slow burn on page, there is also an on page time jump that further adds to the slow burn. It’s also interesting because the main characters, Keeley and Sal, and very much resistant to one another but also aware of how unavoidable their chemistry is, and have slid into moments of kisses and physical affection.
While this was an age-gap romance, it was pretty refreshing that the gap was between two very settled adults; well into their careers and for the MMC, his second one. This was also a billionaire romance, but like not in an icky way, where there was definitely access to resources but it wasn’t gaudy or overly done; except maybe fore real estate in the Bay Area, lol. The characters being well established in life in many ways lessened the gap, and also brought about some aspects of maturity that can be absent when there is a large gap with a significantly younger set of characters. Our male main was fully aware of his relationship failures from the past and certainly corrective in the new opportunity he was finding himself in.

To make me weak at the knees, and fold in half and present myself like a sacrifice.....give me the age gap trope, and Salvatore (Sal) D'Angelo!! To end this series, and amazing 5 star series with each book being an emotional masterpiece with each couple finding their HEA's, and the true meaning of found family, Sal and Keeley round this out.

Of course, this is complicated, and dare I say, it's not the 20 year age gap either. These two of the perfect work marriage already, and a friendship that started on the first day Sal took over. And, not to mention, some of the best romantic relationships start as friends. The connection between these two is undeniable....knowing what the other is thinking, enjoying being the workaholics they both are, and seeing those around them succeed. Keeley may wear the heels, but her strength, grace and tireless work ethic is just one of the many things Sal loves about her. Sal has had a troubled marriage, where work was what he was truly married too, and has to work hard to have a relationship with the now adult children. And as a result, he has had to accept his failings and work hard to right the wrongs, and now has a healthy relationship with his ex. But, with his daughter being best friends with Keeley and Easton being his soon to be son in law and Keeley's brother, he can't have a relationship with her, or can he? I could not get enough of these two, and the way Sal is so protective and the absolute golden retriever who makes a woman the same age (me thats me) go all weak and giggly, I absolutely inhaled this book. There was an underlying suspense throughout each of the books, with the finale and final check in with each of the couples bringing to a closure this series in perfect Katherine fashion. I have ARC read from book 1, and I cannot wait to read what Katherine has in store for me next. You have me now, I love your writing and I am going no where. FYI I could actually hear Christoper David (the cover model) reading Sal's parts to me in my mind, and cannot imagine a more perfect image of Sal as him.

Wanted to love this one but I found Sal and Keeley's story a little too slow paced. I loved that they started as friends and that part of the story, getting to see how close they are and how they each were the other's safe place, was my favorite.

The long time jumps, the countless times they were separated for days and weeks at a time always took me out of the story. I needed more on page time with them together as a romantic couple and not just colleagues or friends. There was also a lot of outside drama that bogged down their story.

As someone who didn't read the previous book, I would recommend reading that one before starting this one. There is a lot of side characters you will need more information on to keep everything straight and an ongoing subplot that crosses over to this one and I was definitely feeling lost trying to connect the dots.

Overall a good read, there is no OTT drama or angst. But there wasn't anything memorable I can think of about this read except I was left feeling just meh in the end.

As the media liaison for the San Francisco Storm, Keeley has had to spend plenty of time with the team’s owner, who happens to be her best friend’s dad and her brother’s future father-in-law. During all those long days and late nights spent working, they’ve developed a strong friendship, with him getting to know her better than anyone else ever has. While they’ve never crossed a line before, she can’t deny that their energy has shifted, and despite telling herself that there are so many reasons why he should be off limits, she can’t help but wanting more.

Salvatore lost his entire family because of his workaholic nature, and while he’s rebuilt his relationship with his daughter, he still feels so much guilt over it. As much as he’d like to say he’s changed, his long hours at work are still a regular occurrence, only made better by the time he gets to spend with Keeley. Although their 21 year age gap has no impact on their friendship, when he realizes he wants more from her, it is only one of the reasons he tells himself he should stay away, but no one before him has seen him the way he has, and for once, he wants to be a little selfish.

I received an early copy of this book from The Author Agency and I absolutely loved it! The slow burn in this one was real, showing readers how Sal and Keeley progressed from work associates, to close friends, and finally into what was clearly always going to be their end game. Not without its share of humour (cause there’s no way there wouldn’t be SIL/Stepmom jokes), the usual angst, and a whole lot of love, the gang was back in full force to bring us their story. As the final chapter in the San Francisco End Game series, it was the perfect wrap up to all the different storylines, and watching both Sal and Keeley get their happily ever after made it worth the wait.

✨Summary✨
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
HEA: Yes, no 3rd act breakup
POV: Dual
Tropes: Age Gap (33/52), Forbidden, Boss, Team Owner x Team PR, Son-in-law’s Sister, Daughter’s Best Friend, Friends to Lovers, Slow Burn

Sal is the new owner of an NFL team. On his first day, he meets Keeley, the team’s PR and Media Liaison. What begins as a friendship built on shared interests and relentless work ethics gradually develops into something more. Unfortunately, they have plenty of reasons to stay apart. There’s a 19-year age gap between them, Keeley is his employee, she’s his son-in-law’s sister, and she’s also his daughter’s best friend. Despite their best efforts to resist the attraction, their connection continues to deepen. But when the past resurfaces and threatens their future, will they be willing to risk everything for a chance at love?

I loved Sal and Keeley together. They understood each other on a level few people could and felt like true kindred spirits despite the age gap. Their relationship was built on a solid foundation of friendship, mutual respect, and shared interests, which made their romance feel authentic and believable. I especially enjoyed watching them slowly realize there might be more to life than work.

The book is long, but it never felt long. Everything flowed naturally, and the scenes were well-developed rather than rushed. This is definitely a slow burn, with Sal and Keeley’s relationship developing over the course of around two years. The pacing allowed their friendship, trust, and attraction to build gradually, making every milestone in their relationship feel earned.

The chemistry between Sal and Keeley was fantastic. While they don’t fully seal the deal until around the 80% mark, the tension and anticipation throughout the book kept me completely invested, and there were a few good intimate moments leading up to it. Their relationship felt emotional, genuine, and incredibly satisfying, and the spice was perfect.

This was my first Katherine Jay book, and it definitely won’t be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed Sal and Keeley’s story and look forward to reading more from this author in the future!

Thank you to Katherine Jay and The Author Agency for the opportunity to read this book before release!

This story was incredible and impossible to put down. From start to finish, I was hooked on Sal and Keeley's story and just could not get enough of them - Dare I say they are my favourite couple from this series!

The relationship between these two felt so real and unfolded so naturally; their relationship was fully built on a great friendship, a whole lot of trust, as well as respect! Sal and Keeley have such a beautiful connection, which I loved reading. Truly one of my favourite couples.

Keeley’s character was everything. Throughout the series, we get to know her, but in Fierce Storm, we get to really fall in love with her; she’s hardworking, loyal, confident and 100% herself without a care for what others think. She loves with her entire soul and would do anything for those she loves.

Sal was the perfect balance for her. While a lot older, there is no power imbalance between them; Sal has nothing but respect and admiration for Keeley. Truly a top-tier book boyfriend right here who fully lives up to his nickname “Daddy D” and is the ultimate silver fox.

While this is not a standalone, it is an amazing end to this series (Because what do you mean it's over??) The vibes of these are outstanding, and if you love the following, you NEED to check this out

- Football Romance
- Age Gap
- Workplace Romance
- Best Friend’s Dad
- Friends to Lovers

I’ve loved every one of Katherine’s books (and I’ve read them all), but this just might be my new favourite.

The biggest thank you to Katherine for the Arc of this story, as always, I love supporting you and spreading the love on each release, it's truly an honour!

Now everyone PLEASE go add The San Francisco End Game Series to your TBRs!

What a bittersweet ending to the San Francisco Endgame series from author Katherine Jay. Sal and Keeley I am so happy they finally got their HEA. I loved every single one of these books and couples but all good things must come to an end.

This book can absolutely be read as a standalone however to avoid spoilers and situations I would recommend reading in order due to that.

I absolutely loved Keele. Keeley is such a fierce character. She’s great at her job, the media liaison for the team but is an extreme workaholic. Makes little time for dating or anything social.

Salvatore “ Sal” DinAngelo, is the proud newest owner of the San Francisco Storm. He’s really worked on a work life balance the last few years now that he’s a grandfather at 52, to his daughter Paige’s son Issac. He’s really come along way with his family but he’s also in love with Keeley and this could throw a wrench in those family relationships.

This book was definitely a slow burn, which isn’t always my favorite but it was done well. The constant push and pull in Sal and Keeleys relationship and the fact that even though they both want to dive in, the many complications that go with that prevented it for a while.

The banter and chemistry between Sal and Keeley was on point and I loved the side characters and text threads that added some comedic flair to the story.

I highly recommend this series if you love a good sports romance series mixed with banter, a great friend group and all the emotions then definitely give this series a read.

Book Rating:⭐ 4/5
Spice Rating:🌶️ 3/5

Fierce Storm was such a sweet, emotional slow burn, and honestly, Sal completely won me over. I know sometimes larger age gap romances can get a little much, but I think Katherine Jay did it so well here! Sal and Keeley's connection never felt like it was built on attraction alone; they really had chemistry. Their relationship starts with friendship, trust, and genuinely getting to know each other, which made the relationship feel perfect.

What I loved most was how well these two understood each other. They are both incredibly dedicated to their work and spend so much of their lives taking care of everyone around them that it was really nice watching them find someone who finally saw them! I mean, that is what we all really want! Keeley is strong, capable, and constantly putting others first, while Sal is patient, supportive, and determined to make sure she feels valued. Their dynamic felt very mature, which made me root for them even more.

This is definitely a slow burn, and the tension and chemistry were there from the beginning, and I was living for it! There are so many reasons these two shouldn't be together, between the workplace relationship, family connections, and age gap, so watching them navigate all of those just kept me invested the entire time. I am a sucker for mess lol.

Overall, this was an emotional romance with great chemistry, plenty of heart, and a couple that felt genuinely meant for each other. If you enjoy slow burns, workplace romance, age gaps, and relationships built on friendship first, I would definitely recommend picking this one up.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Fierce Storm by Katherine Jay

Fierce Storm tells the story of Salvatore D’Angelo and Keeley, delivering a sweet age-gap romance filled with emotional growth, family complications, and second chances.

Salvatore is a billionaire businessman who purchases a struggling professional football team, determined to turn it into a success. Keeley works for the organization in public relations and also happens to be the sister of one of the team’s players. To make things even more complicated, she is also best friends with Salvatore’s daughter.

At first, their relationship is strictly professional, but as they spend more time together, the connection between them becomes impossible to ignore. Despite their significant age difference and the complicated dynamics surrounding them, feelings begin to grow on both sides.

Salvatore is a divorced workaholic who lost his marriage years ago because he prioritized business over everything else. Through Keeley, he starts to realize there is more to life than work, success, and money. Meanwhile, Keeley finds herself falling for a man she never expected to see in that light.

Their journey isn’t easy. Family ties, workplace boundaries, public scrutiny, and their age gap create plenty of obstacles. However, watching them learn to trust each other and fight for their relationship made their story incredibly enjoyable.

I especially loved how they worked together as a team, both professionally and personally. Their relationship felt mature, supportive, and genuine.

⭐️ Rating: 4/5 stars. A heartwarming age-gap romance with great character development, emotional moments, and a satisfying happy ending.

📚 BOOK REVIEW 📚

Fierce Storm - @katherinejayauthor

Katherine Jay does it again! All of her books are amazing and this one is no different. I had the best time with this book. But I don't know what I'm supposed to do now that this series has come to an end.

The San Francisco End Game series is one of my all time favourites. Each book is unique and delivers great stories which are engaging and I'm always invested in the characters.

Keeley and Sal were such a special couple. I can sometimes struggle with age gap but this was done in such a lovely well that it was in no way cringy. I loved how beautifully this relationship developed over time. It was written so tenderly that there was no awkwardness at all and I found myself rooting for them as did all the other characters around them.

The workplace setting provided the perfect setting for the angst and tension that were building and the pay off was well worth the wait.

Sal is just the most perfect gentleman and I melted every single time he was on the page. He was just so swoonworthy and Keeley was just his perfect match. It was wonderful in all the ways.

I loved having all our favourites pop up again especially my boy, Reed. Oh how I love that guy.

Katherine's books are normally larger reads but it's a testament to how well she writes and her amazing story telling that always makes me want to dive in. I never feel like it's a chore as I'm always sucked in and dying to know what happened next. She's a great storyteller. And I'm so excited for what's to come.

Another great read from an outstanding author.

I seem to have read a lot of ARC’s this month from ‘new to me’ authors and Fierce Storm by Katherine Jay was another one of those.

I went into this book not really knowing what to expect, outside of the tropes, but I was quickly drawn into Sal and Keeley’s story. I like when you don’t have to go too far into a book to feel the chemistry between the main characters, and that was the case here.

Sal was easy to love. Protective, caring, and fiercely loyal to the people he loves. Keeley is strong, independent, and determined to make her own way, which I always appreciate. She has also suffered some traumatic events in her life, some of which she needs to face again (there are trigger warnings at the start of the book). Throw in an age gap, workplace romance, and that they are connected through their families to the mix.

One thing I really enjoyed was the way Katherine balanced the romance with the emotional and friendship aspects of the story.

I am not one for spoilers, as I don’t want to give too much away and let people experience the story for themselves. What I will say is that I found myself invested in both Sal and Keeley, I found the pacing to be really good and had a difficult time putting the kindle down x

This is book five in the San Francisco End Game series and can be read as a standalone. However, I think I would have understood some of the side characters and their backstories a little better if I had read the first four books.

Thank you to Katherine Jay and The Author Agency for this ARC. This review is my own personal opinion.

Fierce Storm is the last book in the San Francisco End Game series by Katherine Jay. My very first arc was Hayley's and Reed’s story in Reckless Storm, the third book in the series. To have been given the opportunity to read these early has been an incredible experience. One I am very thankful for!

This story follows Keeley Reynolds, a media liaison and Salvatore D'Angelo, owner of the San Francisco Storm aka her boss. I have been looking forward to their story ever since I first read about their characters in Reckless Storm.

I absolutely fell in love with both Keeley and Salvatore! The way they trusted each other, their banter, and how kind and understanding they were towards one another. I could really tell they cared about the other.

There are some topics in this book that may be upsetting. Please check the trigger warnings first before reading.

Overall, I love a good forbidden romance and this has got to be one of my new favourites! The slow burn was everything! It was incredibly well written with the pacing and the tension done exceptionally. The group chats were the highlight for me! This book was incredibly swoon worthy and I would highly recommend reading this! While it can be read as a standalone, I would strongly advise you to start from the beginning to avoid spoilers.

This was one of my absolute favorites in this series. This is book 5 in the San Francisco End Game Series. In this book most of my favorute tropes are in it. Such as, Age gap, Workplace romance (Boss/worker), Forbidden romance, and one that was a little off becoming family by marriage.
In this book there is Sal & Keeley.
Sal is a billionaire who just bought a football team where Keeley is his Team confident & Fiercely loyal Media Liaison. Now Sal is not your normal billionaire who is a know it all. He carries regrets and insecurities and often questions his worth and if he deserves any chance at loves again. I also love how Sal is a thoughtful, caring, protective, and just the sweetest human ever. He to me is a walking green flag.
Now Keeley is a confident, fiercely loyal and hardworking women with a huge heart. I love how she understood Sal no like no other person. She also never tried to change him no matter what. Together they brought the absolute best out in each other.
I will say the chemistry was off the charts, electric, but the best part for me was the more intimate emotional side. Like the late-night talks, quiet moments spent together, and the sweet looks and gesture they did for each other.
Overall, like I said this was my favorite in the series. I love them all, but this one took my heart. If you haven't read the others I advise you to do so. Katherine Jay has done a phenomenal job with this whole series, and I loved everything about it.

“You’re my safe place.” She sighs. “My white noise.” She wiggles and mewls. “My fierce protector. But most of all, you’re the other half of my soul. I love you, Sal.”
“God, I love you too.”

Fierce Storm is the final book in the San Francisco Storm series and it follows Keeley and Team owner Sal. I’ve been waiting for Keeley’s book since we met her. If you love an age gap romance you’ll want to get involved in this book even though they are interconnected standalones, I’d honestly recommend reading them all in order if you plan to read the whole series as there are some spoilers for the previous book before this one as well as Paige and Easton’s book (Keeley’s brother and Sal’s daughter🫢) earlier on in the series.I I think reading them in order you get to know the gang and their personalities unfolding more and more with each release.

This was the perfect end to the series, I liked the way Katherine handled the interwoven relationships and how we got to see Sal and Keeley’s story unfold, it wasn’t rushed and I loved the friendship and all the tension and chemistry between them that came with it before we finally get to see them together. 😍

“We’ve been a team from the start; we’ll be a team until the end. It’s Keeley and me.
Always.”

Tropes:

Available now and I can’t wait to read what Katherine has in store for us next.

Huge thank you to TAA and Katherine Jay for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

This was such a fun time! I was immediately invested in the characters and their storyline! Katherine did a wonderful job pacing this novel and I thoroughly enjoyed how she wrote the progression of this novel. I had trouble putting this one down lol!

Keeley is just a genuine and fun character. She is hardworking, confident, strong but also funny and has a personality that shines through the book. I loved how Katherine wrote her storyline and character growth. She is a well rounded character and I have not a single complaint about her!

Sal is just straight up husband material! He is strong and protective but also has a very tender side and is not afraid to be vulnerable with Keeley. His storyline was extremely well written and I loved how everything played out for him. It felt like he truly got everything he deserved.

Keeley and Sal together are the perfect balance. The connection between them truly felt instant and kismet.. not to mention they had one of the best meet cutes. I loved their chemistry and banter. Their relationship and connection has so many layers but it's all compliments them and their storyline perfectly! This is truly age gap x forbidden done SO WELL! Katherine really outdid herself writing these two!

Would I suggest this to a friend? Yes! Would I reread? Yes! I want to reread and do the whole series together B2B! Would I like a trophy? Yes!

This is Book 5 in the San Francisco End Game series. It was my first book of Katherine Jay’s and I very much enjoyed it, but I am excited to read the rest. It did have a warning at the beginning; it had some spoilers for the previous books. I was still able to follow along and enjoy!

This book definitely has an age gap & forbidden elements, (he’s her bff dad & the owner of the team, she is the media liaison) but it didn’t feel weird. I feel like Sal was very much aware of the power dynamic potential, and Keely was certainly not shy about standing up for herself, even with the previous trauma. The author did a great job of handling the time jumps, and the previous character’s stories. Sometimes that can be hard to follow along, but I didn’t have any troubles.

The found family was also great in the book. Among all the players & spouses. Great text message threads among the various friend groups. Funny sibling relationships with Keely. I also enjoyed the protectiveness, with the players & Sal for Keely. Not that she couldn't protect herself, but the love they all feel for each other. There were some interesting moments, from previous stories getting wrapped up, that added fun tension. Both with a previous player and then Sal’s daughter & ex-wife being involved in a trial.

I genuinely felt the friendship love that Sal & Keely had together, it was sweet. But when it FINALLY progressed more, the spice was excellent! Finally (pun?) the epilogue and wrap up stories from each couple of the series was very sweet.

Thank you to the Author Agency for the ARC!

🔥 Burn Level: 4/5
🌶️ Spice Level: 3.5/5
💧 Emotional: 4.5/5

Thank you to Katherine Jay and The Author Agency for the opportunity to read and review this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Katherine Jay has done it again.

Fierce Storm completely pulled me into Sal and Keeley’s story, and from the very beginning I was invested in seeing how their relationship would unfold.

What I loved most was how natural everything felt. Their connection developed in a way that felt believable and organic, making it easy to become emotionally attached to both characters. Nothing felt forced, and I found myself rooting for them every step of the way.

This book delivered such a great balance of humor, tension, and emotional moments. The found family aspect added so much heart to the story, while the chemistry between Sal and Keeley kept me turning the pages.

The medium spice level fit the story perfectly, enhancing the romance without overshadowing the emotional depth of their journey.

Overall, Fierce Storm was everything I hoped it would be and another fantastic read from Katherine Jay. If you enjoy sports romance with tension, found family, humor, and a relationship that develops naturally, this one is definitely worth picking up.
