Juliana Giordano is many things. A princess, a rare elemental Witch coveted for her power as much as her bloodline, and heir to the throne of the Saints in Europe. Juliana and her fiancé, Griffin Bordonari, must perform one last task before she can claim her birthright and become Queen. The task accepted was supposed to be simple. Collect evidence, find the traitors selling women to the highest bidder in the States, shut it down, and get out. When faced with ancestors long passed helping to guide her, New Orleans Witches at the disposal of the American Saints King attempting to contain her, and the possibility of losing everything she has ever known, Juliana must make a choice. Will she Kneel before the American King? Or will she burn the world down to protect the ones she loves?
To say that I loved this book is an understatement. It captivated me from the beginning but hooked me with Acadian. This is a story about Juliana heir to the Saints in Europe. It's a story about how she came to Louisiana with her fiance to meet with the Saints there and how she ended up standing up for herself and fighting back. It is also a story about Griffin, Julianas fiance, and how he's been in love with Juliana since they were kids. It is a story that will keep you wanting more. It is a five-star read that you won't regret reading.
Possible spoilers….. really like this series and I hope for a lot more! Ugh I dislike griffin so much for what he did to Jules. He definitely got what he deserved from her! Now I felt like some parts were rushed or just plopped in. I really hope that the saint kids brixon,Liam and Noah realize what a pos Darius is and the extract a good dose of karma in the future!! I can’t wait to read more this author has a way of dragging you in and not letting go until the end! Definitely love the back story. Please read this first before we are all sinners if you want to understand the backstory of what happened!!
What do you do when CR Johnson drops a book that she doesn't tell anyone what's it about? I absolutely run and grab it. Just to find out, it's a back story connected to We Are All Sinners. Yay!!!! This isn't your typical witchy romance. You do get to see and feel the love along the way. But Julianne is one hard, strong loving FMC who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect the ones she loves. The way she uses her powers and stays level-headed while flipping out on the inside was written perfection.
I’m so glad to get the back story for the parents to all of my favorite characters, and to know how everything started. I love that Jules got to get revenge and find her true love. Im also so glad to hear Mr. Bonjangles story!!!!! This book did not disappoint but I wouldn’t think C.R.’s writing ever could. I love that if you haven’t read her other Saints books you can start with this one and get the full story line but if you already have, then this is a great way to make you fall in love with your favorite characters and more. Now I need the next book to come out.
Wow! CR Johnson really did it again with this one. I love being able to see the beginning of the story. This book was really good. I love how it has all the witchy aspects of the story. And again with this book it has so many relatable things to me in my life, it's almost like she's looking in my head. This story sucks you in and keeps your attention. This story line is so good. I hope there are more books to come. I would love to know more about this lineage.
This was a surprise release so I was not even expecting to read it. Jules is so fierce and definitely a force to be reckoned with! Ian is so kind and gentle until you mess with what is his. What do you do when you find out the person you are set to marry is not who you think they are……this read kept me on the edge of my seat and was so fun to reminisce on the characters of We are all sinners!
This book … I don’t know how to tell you about it without spoiling anything. I can say per CR her MFC is a force to be reckoned with. I loved her development and the plot twist is chef kiss. I didn’t expect half of what I read and that makes it soooo much better… this book is not predictable but a roller coaster with a splash of spice… it really gives you insight to the Saints, the curse and the prophecy!! Enter at your own risk. As always happy reading 🤭
This book owned me from the very first page. Birthright is intense, emotional, and completely addictive. The characters are layered, the tension is nonstop, and the story hits you right in the feels. Every chapter had me saying “just one more” until suddenly it was way past my bedtime. The chemistry, the stakes, the twists… all of it landed perfectly.
This book was so fantastic!! I loved all the layers to the story and watching it unfold with C.R. Johnson’s fabulous plot twist that you will never see coming!
