Twin Roads: Running

For some, the pursuit of purpose is paved with danger, fuel, and high-speed corners.

On the twisty mountain roads of British Columbia, Jun’s anxious night drives in his dad’s hand-me-down Mustang become more than an escape; they become instruction. Rebuilt decades ago by a legendary JDM shop, the battered Ford is an unlikely weapon and a patient teacher on rain-slick hairpins and brutal snowy nights.

What begins in solitude turns into a vivid rivalry with locals who measure worth one apex at a time. Explosive duels force Jun to choose between raw aggression and a disciplined, craft-first way of driving on the journey to proving himself and learning to listen to the car, the weather, and the line. As the bond between driver and machine tightens, the margin for error shrinks to the width of a guardrail.

Beyond the switchbacks, whispers of a cleaner path tug at daylight laps, timing sheets, rules, and no speed limits... a chance to go legit and make something of his life. But the road to it runs through rivals, risk, and the thin line between zen and catastrophe.

Twin Roads Running is a visceral, grounded coming-of-age in racer’s clothing. Cars, racecraft, purpose, passion, anxiety, and maybe some love and family thrown in. Running is told in a close, stream-of-consciousness voice with deep authenticity and realism that puts you in the seat and keeps you there.

Welcome to the debut novel in the Twin Roads series.

Truly unique automotive fiction

So hard to find new automotive fiction stories since Initial D and MF Ghost! Tries to be very realistic and is highly unique especially for new indie Canadian books!

A must read story about a kid finding himself on the ice-slicked mountain roads of British Columbia. Anyone who loves cars, racing, passion, and British Columbia needs to read this book. I am hooked and can't wait to read the next book in the series!

One of the coolest books I've read!

Feels very unique and special getting into juns head. Surprising balance of action and family drama and juns anxiety. Interesting writing style and very cool race scenes I can picture myself in!
