This is a great book. It describes what's involved in fishing, fishing people, and a whole world of other things I never expected were involved in fishing. If planning on your first encounter with fishing or a fishing trip, I recommend becoming familiar with any words in this thin book of very short chapters you're not familiar with. That will add so more depth and joy than assuming or guessing the word. "Bon voyage" or better yet, "May your dry fly get wet."

These stories remind me of what I like most about fishing. I generally don't care about catching fish - rather it's an excuse for me to get out on the water and have an adventure with friends new and old. Though Robbins' has had the fortune to fish in some incredible places around the globe, he reminds us that the waters close to home can be just as epic and memorable.
