Apparently I hate myself bc I read this book even though the first one was a piece of shit. I thought maybe it would get better but NOPE. I don't know why this was 140 pages, it could've been 30 tbh.


I thought haze was the most annoying but I was wrong, don't get me wrong he still sucks but INDI? SHES SO EXHUASTING in this and Mary jane was...there. The author couldn't even keep up with the relationship between any of them. One moment, Mary j and Indi HATE each other and never really liked each other, yet they literally live together then the next its 'WE WERE FRIENDS HOW DARE YOU.' Indi was SO jealous of Mary jane and so bitter when she got the same EXACT treatment as her and Mary j was so jealous of Indi. Two girls fighting over a dude that literally uses them as a pump and dump.


I mean seriously Indi goes on and on about how she is special but multiple times throughout the book she complains about how about how haze only comes around to fuck her which is true, they don't do anything without fucking. After he breaks her back? HE DIPS.


She gets upset and demands that she wants to be taken OUT and want to act like a normal couple and he does but... YUP you guessed it, he only takes her out because he needed her to join some corny ass group. AND YES they were sexual. I mean like I said before don't try and make this something it's not. It's not romance, hell its not even interesting. It's just fucking. they're just best friends who fuck each other. Indi is such a dumb ass bc every time he leaves her, he just needs to drop his pants and magically everything is okay.

NO SHADE BUT WILLOW MCQUERRY WOULD NEVER. WHICH IS INSANE BC WILLOW'S CHARACTER POPS UP IN THIS AND IT HURT MY SOUL AS THEY SHOULDNT BE INVOLVED IN THIS DUMPSTER FIRE. maybe I'm being too harsh but oh well. I'm just being honest and that's all I can be.



This series IS NOT for me but good for you if you like it but I prefer that my FMCs aren't pump and dumps.

After Haze left, Indi had to move in with her sister and their relationship is tenuous at the least. Haze is keeping an eye on Indi and does try to visit her occasionally, trouble is she wants more and that could lead to danger, as she relies on w33d and alcohol in a vain attempt to thwart away the loneliness. Of course, Haze ensures that she is safe until something happens that could bring her, Haze and Felix to a turning point in their lives.

im finally get around to reading Bunrt because the slump has been real!! i absolutely loved baked and was happy we were getting more of Indi & Haze. so i definitely enjoyed this one!

Burnt was so good. it’s just something about taboo books that i just eat up everytime. Haze is 😍

and kushhh the fat cat hehe i missed him. i love the furry friends in books.

I was so pumped for the first book and it delivered. Unfortunately this second one just didn’t hit the same way.

I felt as though the story twisted in a weird new direction which felt out of place from the first. And I felt as though we didn’t get much context or information for the secret 🤫

And this one lost some of the taboo magic the first had. I still love the MC and Kush though.

Ahhh I love Haze & Indi and Baked is one of my favourite taboo erotic horrors. For me, Burnt didn't have the same magic. I felt that the taboo aspect was abit lost & I didn't feel like there was much happening plotwise... other than laying backstory & introducing cross over characters.
I still enjoyed catching up with the characters again.

I want to preface this with a warning, please don’t go into this story expecting a heavy, intricate plot. Let’s be real, this is primarily a super dark, horror-filled, taboo erotica featuring twins in a romantic relationship, with just a small amount of plot woven in to keep things moving. It’s there… but it’s not the focus. And I loved it.

We continue with the food-related scenes that make things wild, chaotic, and oddly entertaining. This time though, we also get elements of secret societies and rival organizations, which adds a bit more intrigue to the mix and expands the world slightly beyond just the shock factor.

There are also multiple cameos from Aiden, if you’ve read Willow McQuerry’s "Little Sisters" series, you’ll recognize him. And if you haven’t and are curious… well, his story comes next chronologically, so you can absolutely continue down that rabbit hole.

And if you’re like me and enjoyed the Osvaldo twins, there’s a good chance we might see more of them. Based on that ending, I wouldn’t be surprised if a third book happens, though I couldn’t find anything officially confirmed yet. That said, they will be reappearing in "Feast" (Dark Star Series, Book 4) coming Fall 2026 as part of a shared author series, whether that’s a continuation or more of a side story remains to be seen.

When I finished Baked I knew that I wanted more of Haze and Indi. I didn't want it to be the end of them. When Burnt was announced I was so happy! I couldn't wait to be back in the world of Haze and Indi.

Ever since after Halloween Indi has been keeping to herself and staying in her room with Kush and faking and pretending she is okay, when really all she wants is Haze. She doesn't understand why he hasn't talked to her since that night. She wonders why he just left her and hasn't responded back letting her know if he is even okay.

Little does Indi know Haze has his eyes on her even if she doesn't know. Ever since they have been apart he has done everything in his power to protect her and make sure that she is okay. He wants nothing more than to just be with her but he has to make sure she's protected.

"I used to think the pull I felt towards you was just a twin connection, a sickness I'd grow out of."
"But I was wrong. That pull merely grew, transforming into a desperate desire I'd never felt before. It was so intense, so raw, that it scared me. So I kept it locked away inside."

The way I can't get enough of Indi and Haze! The spice between them is spicy and it is hot 🔥 it's like you could feel the connection between them through my kindle. Again I didn't want this to end. I NEED more of these characters, plus the cross over I'm so OBSESSED.

I’m sure it will come as no surprise to anyone that I absolutely loved this book, it was 100% worth the wait.

I loved Indi and Haze in Baked, but I love them even more in Burnt, especially now that Felix is around! Haze would literally do anything for his sister…is it wrong that I’m jealous of the apartment, the random appearances when Indi needs protecting (or even when she doesn’t), actually…I think I just need my own Haze 😂

What a little bitch Mary-Jane is, I’m so glad she got what was coming to her. But that ending?? Can I have the next book now please??

Not forgetting star of the story, Kush, such a cute boy 🥰

I thought I was ready- I was not. Haze and Indi are back for more highs, more spice, and more inappropriate consumption of food.
As usual, AB Cynthe packs a big punch in a short book. Plot twists, new players, revenge, an underground secret society… I was on the edge of my seat! I so wish I had recorded my reactions to the special Thanksgiving dinner, because I know I was making some stellar faces in shock. Perhaps the cooking should be left to Haze from now on (IYKYK).
Personally, I will not be partaking in Indi’s version of special brownies- thank you.

Burnt jumps right back in where Baked left off, and I really liked how seamless it felt. The consequences start hitting hard, and honestly, some characters had it coming. Given the situations and choices that led up to those moments, everything felt handled the way it should have been, which made it satisfying rather than frustrating.
What I enjoyed most was how much the world opens up in this book. It doesn’t just continue the story—it expands it. Felix, the twins’ brother, gets brought up a lot more, and getting a look into his world added a whole new layer to the story that I wasn’t expecting but really appreciated.
Even though these stories are short, they’re packed with so much. There’s emotion, tension, and depth in every chapter, and nothing feels rushed or unnecessary. A.B. Cynthe does an amazing job of telling a lot of story in a small space, and Burnt definitely left an impression on me. I’m excited to see where things go next.

Novella that picks up right where the first one ended, there was a lot of things I didn't like about the first book, but somehow I wanted to read this one, basically just to see a little bit of Aiden, who is a side character, and is getting his own book soon, in another series by another author.

But this one surprised me, I did enjoyed it, it was a wild, crazy book, and the connection that Indi and Haze have is obviously forbidden and taboo, but I like how things went in this book, and I like the introduction to the other brother, I hope he gets a book of his own, he is definitely an interesting character.

A lot of spice, pot, and a little bit of an interesting secret society plot. It was fun, and if a new book comes, I will read it.

I missed Haze so much! When I read Baked and heard Burnt was coming out a month later I STALKED Cynthes IG to see when it was coming out to read it. Honestly happy with what happened to Mary. I understand that the plot is moving but I didn’t expect a underground network for a taboo romance to include our lovely pot heads NO OFFENSE LOL. I feel like the Taboo aspect was there OBVIOUSLY but it didn't have the same feeling as book one. I think this book is just setting up for a story with other characters to have their own books in the future. It was nice for a cross over for Aiden though. Might change my rating when I let this marinate in my head a bit more.

I love Haze, Indy and Kush(can't forget this little pothead). This book was so amazing! I love taboo, and these two make it so much spicier, especially with all the food being involved! 😂 And Felix? OMG. I can not wait for his book, and if you haven't read Sour, there is a sneak peek of his FMC in there.👀 I'm really interested in more about this secret organization, the glimpse get in Burnt just wasnt enough! Also eff Mary-Jane she finally got what she deserves!!

Still taboo AF and had a lot more shmexy sessions. I really wanted to rate the stories higher but book two solidified it for me—I really hate Indie's character. She's a weak brat. She makes demands, doesn't listen, and then is surprised by things she's already been told. And to be surprised by Mary-Jane's betrayal kinda makes want to have hear head meet a baseball bat so I can knock whatever is clogging the way to her last few brain cells.
