Like all true romantics, Tiffany had always been fascinated by the great love stories of the past. The only child of two historians, she had always felt a pull towards British History and the epics that it spawned. But, instead of following in her parent’s footsteps, Tiffany chose to express her love of history in her own way: by writing about her favorite era. After obtaining a degree in English Literature, Tiffany decided to write her first book and never looked back. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys spending time with her own Prince Charming, and their two beautiful children, enjoying Massachusetts’ natural wonders. Hop on for a unique journey in Regency England, filled with intensity and heartwarming romance. Let Tiffany’s words bring the enchanting heroes of an era long gone back to life and charm their way into your heart!
Joan took responsibility for the care of their home as well as her brother and sister immediately after the deaths of their parents. They had little but their name and dignity, but Joan made their lives function almost as normal. Of course she worked her fingers to the bone and often went without in order to feed the household.
When the moved to the country, Joan took it upon herself to educate the local children, but required the empty hall owned by the fearsome Duke Ashcroft. After an injury from a duel, the Duke lost his sight and was permanently scarred. He agreed to Joan’s use of the hall in exchange for her honest assistance with his correspondence.
Joan’s sister had been humiliated by an Earl she was engaged to marry, and that Earl did not wish to give up his ticket to respectability. What happens when he pursues them to the country? When the duke has already set his sights on the unattainable Joan?
This was well written, but a bit nonsensical. Three stars for this clean romance.
Отдавна не се бях отдавала на удоволствието да чета книга като Bound to the Blind Duke! Bound to the Blind Duke,
The first 200 pages was great! it had the Innocence I love in clean romance! it was a little slow & would have loved to have seen Laurence & Joan court & a few more conversations with them, instead of it just jumping to two weeks later.
my real problem is for the majority of the book after the first 200 pages it was so much of the villain winning & turmoil for all, which was really heartbreaking to read.
Even though it improved in the end, there have been so much misery for everyone, it was hard to bounce back & enjoy the end. Though I did really like the extended epilogue!
Ms. Baron has written a real winner! Victoria is in love with the Earl and are to wed, only to find him in the park the day before the wedding kissing a very pregnant commoner! He declared she was his mistress and he loved her! Joan, older sister takes her and they go to the country. Joan, our heroine, makes a deal with the Duke Lawrence, she wants a hall in the village where she and Victoria will teach the children to read and math. Lawrence is temporarily blind and needs Joan to help with his ledgers! A story with fear, threats and so much more, a book that will hold your attention!
Joan was the caretaker of her brother and sister since they lost their parents when she was twelve years old. Now they are all grown but find themselves in a difficult situation caused by her younger sister’s former betrothed. The issue becomes more intense after her and her sister escape to their country manor where they meet the secluded Duke Laurence. When the old London problems reach back to them it is the Duke who finally remedies all the problems and he and Joan find their hea together.
I loved this book from the start! The story is so intriguing and makes you walk in all forms of emotions: pity, fury, love, satisfaction, wonder, rage, nervousness and so on.. I hate the men that think they have all the power in the world and do whatever they want. You can't imagine the satisfaction I got at the end when everything became black and white!
I loved Joan's dedication for her family and the fact that the Duke saw her true beauty and looked behind the surface and chased his happiness! I love HEA!!
The Sinclair Ladies retreat to their country home & little by little to a proper life, teaching the village schoolchildren. But no one has complete power when a former acquaintance resurfaces & insist on a marriage. And Lady Joan loves another but cannot refuse his request, least the damage to her family will be unmistakable. But there is someone who holds the key over everyone & he will see justice!
Joan is removing herself and her two sisters out of London due to her sister's wedding being cancelled and then a scandal begins to start because of it as gossip spreads. On her first meeting with a gentleman, who she later finds out is the Duke of Ashcroft, sparks begin to fly. Will their sparks turn into the good kind or will they continue to just be argumentized ones?
All about family, and how one sets to taking care of her own. Dedication, love, and strength bring this story to it's climax. Oh, and what a climax it is, don't miss your chance for another great story.
I enjoyed this book very much. Joan and Laurence's love story was beautiful. The story was interesting and kept me interested through until the very end. It is one of my favorites.
The story seemed rushed. How did they fall in love? The duke found out he liked her only a few meetings? And I wanted to see Joan interact more with the children. This could have a been a fuller book.
Joan Sinclair is a whirlwind of determination, control, and a fierce protective love for her family. The Duke of Ashcroft is a partially blind, recluse, drawn to Joan's firey personality. Join this journey and enjoy the romance and fight unfold. I loved it.
