Leer esto es como mirar una peli en x2 y skippear todas las escenas relleno.
Me hizo apreciar los slowburn un montón, creo no lo volvería a leer y tampoco lo recomendaría...

2,5⭐ this was a paranormal fantasy bingo

Wild Rose had an intriguing premise that immediately caught my attention: an outcast witch inheriting a mysterious house from a relative she barely knew, strange letters arriving from beyond the grave, and a brooding vampire who clearly doesn't want her there.

Unfortunately, while the story introduced many interesting ideas, it often felt overcrowded. New secrets, magical rules, visions, and supernatural twists were added so frequently that very few of them received the development they deserved.

For me, the book tried to do too much at once, leaving many of its most interesting concepts feeling underexplored.

The romance was fine, although I never fully recovered from the fact that the vampire seemed to go from "I don't want you here" to "I would die for you" at supernatural speed.

Overall, Wild Rose wasn't a terrible read, but it never fully came together for me. An interesting setup and a few compelling mysteries weren't enough to overcome the rushed pacing and overwhelming amount of plot threads.

a witch who is not actually a witch with powerful secrets and a vampire who’s not actually a vampire. a beautiful enchanting home that was conveniently inherited from a distant dead aunt for no apparent reason. HOWEVER, while rent is free, the narrative and plot is not without due and thus the quest begins

the premise is definitely there. i should’ve expected that you can’t really flesh out a whole pair of magical characters and their world in less than 200 pages so this definitely reads like you’ve hit 1.5x and every other blink or so, with little to no segue, we’re snapped to a different scene/dialogue and sometimes, there i say, FEELINGS within some of the characters lolll
for that reason, a few things, and including the romance, felt rushed and almost hollow.

nevertheless, once bri’s abilities were cemented along with crowe’s backstory, i found that the most intriguing
i can definitely see this type of story being a whole world of its own to dive into, should there be no word limit lol

This book felt like being back in 2016 reading one of the best fanfictions you’ve ever laid eyes on but it comes with the catch of only being a couple hundred words and is “incomplete”. Now this one doesn’t end on a cliffhanger but it does feel like the story could be revamped (no-pun intended) and definitely turned into a couple books or at least a longer one.

I loved that I could never guess what was going to happen next. Even though the author described so many details, the story was never predictable, and I ended up reading the whole book in one sitting. It was absolutely amazing, and I just couldn’t stop reading.

I loved the chemistry between the characters, the mystery surrounding the house, and discovering what the creatures actually were. Everything was so captivating and incredibly well written.

This book was a 5 star read in the beginning, but towards the end the author started to speed forward in time and the last 10% of the book should have been more like 60% of the book. The story was really good but the ending annoyed me too much.

I was actually surprised at liking this. Sure the writing feels a little clumsy, everything happens way too fast, there’s basically no world building, no character development, but with such a short story I wasn’t expecting big litterature anyway.

a little novella between books, starts with a witch FMC (who has a-typical witch powers and is an outcast in that community) finding out her BF cheated and at the same moment finds out she's inherited a house from a long lost, also witch, great aunt. she moves is to the house away from the city and periodically gets letters from her relative that elude to a mystery. People in town are a little suspicious of her, especially the local vampire who was friends with her great aunt. she builds friendships and solves the mystery and lives happily ever after.
