Review of advance copy received from Author

I love all Jay Michael Nights Books. I have read them all. I was a baby arc reader when I read and fell in love with Fangs of Gold. That was it I was going to read anything he put on paper.
I read Book 1 - GRAYMARK Assassin of the Answered. I immediately asked to arc read Book 2 and he allowed me the privilege of reading an early copy. Release date is January 23. 2026. If you think Book 1 is perfect then Book 2 is perfection. It begins with Neera (a side character and my absolute favorite). She is fierce, undaunted and willing to risk everything for Isen. Their love is heartwarming.
There are so many twists and turns. Jay does answer some questions from Book 1. But when you find out who Everlasting truly is and the dark journey he has had to withstand you will be utterly shattered. Not at all what I expected. This is Jay, a thin veil covering the truth behind the facade. Who do you trust should be a trope in this book because when you find out the cruel path a favorite character of mine took it will break you. I was screaming in my head, no it won’t happen. 🤷‍♀️ Yup!
There is fantasy, magic, humour, thrills and suspense! And the ending … chefs kiss!

The second book in the Graymark Series deserves just as much as the first book - five stars. There are a lot of changes in the protagonist's journey, but some things remain the same: dread, mystery, and suffocating pressure. All of this creates continued growth, and the plot thickens. Jay Michael Night makes you feel his protagonist's pain and emotional trauma. By the end - which isn't the end, because there is definitely a Graymark 3 coming - you will be left with all of it, ready to destroy everything you thought you knew about what was coming.
I'm going to state it clearly, in case you didn't catch this the first time. If you like dark fantasy, read this series!

Thank you Jay Michael Night for the ARC

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5/5 Stars — Graymark 2: The Pillar’s Price by Jay Michael Night

Graymark 2: The Pillar’s Price delivers everything I hoped for in a sequel and then raises the stakes even higher. Jay Michael Night expands the world of Graymark with deeper political intrigue, stronger character development, and plenty of tension that kept me turning pages.

One of the book’s greatest strengths is Isen’s continued evolution. Watching him navigate a city full of hidden agendas, shifting loyalties, and dangerous enemies makes for a compelling journey. The consequences of his choices feel real, and the growth he experiences throughout the story adds emotional weight to the action-packed plot.

The world-building remains a standout feature. Zenith feels more alive than ever, with its complex power structures and underlying secrets adding layers to the narrative. Night does an excellent job balancing character-driven moments with larger conflicts, creating a story that feels both personal and epic in scope.

Fans of dark fantasy, morally gray characters, and political maneuvering will find plenty to enjoy here. Graymark 2 successfully builds upon the foundation of the first book while leaving readers eager for what comes next.

Final Rating: 4.5/5 Stars

A gripping, character-driven fantasy sequel that expands the world, deepens the stakes, and proves that the Graymark series is only going to get better!!
