FREE SWEET & SWOONY CLEAN REGENCY ROMANCE

A lasting friendship, a break up, or a love for lifetime? For Fans of Georgette Heyer and Jane Austen.

Marigold has long grown accustomed to being overlooked at every social gathering. Her candid tongue does little to improve her prospects of catching a gentleman's eye—much as she secretly longs for a family of her own. Still, she refuses to sit at home and pine. Her days are full her hobbies keep her hands busy, and her teaching of illiterate women fills her heart with purpose.

Lord Nicolas Hamilton—handsome, charming, and far too accustomed to female admiration—returns to England after years of wandering across Europe. At last determined to choose a bride, he enters the ballroom with confidence… only to be publicly snubbed by a sultry beauty. Seeking refuge from the embarrassment, he takes the nearest empty seat—beside quiet, unassuming Marigold.

She is often a touch too forthright for his refined tastes, yet he cannot deny the sparkle of her wit or the brightness of her spirit. What begins as a polite conversation unexpectedly blossoms into a warm, steady friendship.

As their friendship deepens, both must confront the quiet longings they've tried to ignore. And as their hearts begin to stir, Nicolas must decide whether the woman he overlooked might be the one he truly needs—and whether Marigold dares believe she could ever be chosen.

A clean, inspirational Regency romance. Standalone novel. No cliffhanger.

This book made me uncomfortable pretty much the entire time. I think part of it is realizing that Regency romance just isn’t for me, but I also didn’t connect with the characters at all. The MMC came across as a jerk, and the sudden shift from mild interest to marriage felt rushed and unsettling. Overall, it just didn’t work for me.

Cute Little Story

This was a fun read. The character's were delightful and I loved the wittiness from the main female character. Give it a read. You won't be disappointed.
