Families don’t fall apart overnight. Sometimes they’re dismantled—piece by piece—by the person you least suspect. When sixteen-year-old Cyrus Olsen loses his mother, he believes the worst is behind him. But when his father remarries and brings Chrissy and her daughter Aria into their old farmhouse, Cyrus quickly realizes grief wasn’t the end of his nightmare—it was the beginning. Aria arrives smiling, perfect, polite… and holding a loaded matchbook behind her back. Inside the house where Cyrus grew up—where every corner still smells like his mother—Aria begins digging. Twisting. Manipulating. She weaponizes every glance, every lie, every performance. And when Cyrus pushes back, she pushes harder… until she has everyone convinced he’s unraveling. His father. Chrissy. Nate. The entire community. Everyone but Cyrus sees the Aria doesn’t want a brother. She wants a burial. As her stories grow darker and her accusations more dangerous, Cyrus watches his life crumble in real time—his relationships, his sanity, his safety. And when one final lie tips the balance and Aria claims Cyrus attacked her, he snaps. That moment becomes the secret. The attic becomes the hiding place. And Cyrus becomes someone he can never come back from. In this house, the truth is deadly. And the attic never lets go of what you hide inside.
