Some describe it as the town at the edge of the world.
When Melody and Michael Devereux come to Collinsport on their honeymoon, they don't know the secrets that are hidden behind closed doors. But those secrets will be unearthed when an innocent is viciously murdered.
Collinsport will be a town divided. One woman's rise to power will lead to further death and destruction. Families will be ripped apart. Blood will be spilt.
And the dark forces that wait in the shadows will wait no more. For in Collinsport, death is never the end...
Sometimes a bit hard to follow, as voices for newer characters are harder for me to identify (the classics from the old show are clear to me), and I liked the "Witch, the Wolf, and the Vampire" alliance at the end (Angelique, Quentin, and Barnabas Collins). Amy Jennings' return is welcome. The mystery is intriguing and Maggie's anti-supernatural crusade is interesting.
Friends old and new are coming to Collinsport. But this isn't a time for celebration. A murderer is on the loose and supernatural forces are involved, everyone is a suspect.
SNOWFLAKE: An atmospheric prelude to the series, really enjoyable and sent a shiver down my spine. 8/10
EPISODE ONE: What a brilliant way to open up a new series. A newly wed couple have come to Collinsport for a honeymoon, but they soon discover that this town isn't as quiet as it seems. I bloody enjoyed this episode and it really set up the series in the best way possible. The actors were incredible and that cliffhanger was amazing! 10/10
EPISODE TWO: Amy Jennings, now Miss Cunningham has returned to Collinsport with her husband and family. Her husband's got a new job at the fishing village. But they soon find that not everything is as happy as they have hoped. A murderer is on the loose. A nice way to bring back Amy Jennings into the series, or should I say Amy Cunningham. This was a really good second episode. 9/10
EPISODE THREE: Amy Cunningham has found an old friend, but to how he's arrived in Collinsport at the same time as her makes her suspicious. Meanwhile her Husband is interviewing David Collins about the new Collinsport Mine. But something familiar and evil is in the cave of Widow's Hill and Andrew Cunningham is about to find it. This was a good episode, a nice way to move along the general story. 8/10
EPISODE FOUR: The Witch Angelique Bouchard has returned, and Andrew Cunningham is playing a dangerous game. Another enjoyable episode with some nice scenes between Lara Parker as Angelique and Matthew Waterhouse as Andrew Cunningham, and a really unexpected cliffhanger you don't coming! 8/10
EPISODE FIVE: On a dark and stormy night, someone or something is returning. Whilst Miss Griffin worried for her son Ed comes face to face with something terrible. Andrew Cunningham has lost everything and Angelique comes face to face with Amy. The night has just begun. This was a great episode with some fantastic performances. There is some lovely character drama, with a cliffhanger that made me smile. 9/10
EPISODE SIX: What an incredible episode! Exciting and thrilling with a fantastic build up to it's cliffhanger! Maggie Evans seems to be messing with things she doesn't quite understand and it looks like others are going to pay for it. The performances were brilliant in this episode and the return of a familiar character was beyond exciting for me. 10/10
If you enjoyed the TV show, you'll like this as well. It's got the appropriate goof factor and logic often goes out the window. My only peeve here is that there are references to previous audio episodes, but otherwise a lot of fun.
