The Sleeping Girl

Rate this book
Sleeping girls feel no pain. Or do they?

When the horrifically mutilated body of a young woman is found at dawn, the police initially assume a straightforward homicide. Two deep stab wounds to the head and the positioning of the body in an apparently sleeping pose leave the investigative team led by Detective David Richter and medical examiner Dr. Nora Mors puzzled. When a second young woman is murdered shortly thereafter in the same brutal, bestial manner, and Nora begins to decipher the grotesquely clinical signature behind the crimes, it becomes clear they are dealing with a ruthless serial killer.

Together, the investigators delve ever deeper into the abyss of human darkness, until Nora herself ends up in the killer’s crosshairs and is forced to confront the pain of her own dark past.

A gripping psychological thriller, packed with suspense, dark secrets, and medical precision.
