I forgot I put this author’s books on a pause (now I remember why). So yeah, this was just a weird one. (Possible spoilers ahead) I would NOT read this again.

So the H and h were actual step-siblings. They grew up together. They played together, etc…. Kaboom 💥 the fated mate thing hits them. h is like unreasonably mad at him, and he’s just all like 🤷‍♀️ while flirty with other girls. They go to prom together, then they have some weird smex on a squeaky bed 😂. He’s telling her, “Be quiet, sis.” JFC, that was just eek.

Then, H just randomly disappears. Like…. Gone gone gone. A ghost
h finds out she’s pregnant around the same time, so she just decides to leave too.

wtf is wrong with these people?

10 years later 🥴 HOLY FK
h has a daughter (aged 9) who needs some type of heart surgery. h works some really vague job with a dumb title, but basically……she catches cheaters for money.
She gets offered like half a million to catch some woman named Nelly cheating.

Well, Nelly is meeting up with H.
I’m just going to skip all their back and forth and no communication- H was offered some top secret job 10 years prior, working for the police. He’s been undercover. He had to cut everybody out of his life. Wut?

Nelly was H’s secret informant. There’s a big sex trafficking ring going on. 🤷‍♀️

H let his poor dad think he’s basically been dead all these years. He let his mate, “the love of his life” suffer too. Who does this? How does this make any dang sense? How is he redeemable? He’s not even an Alpha wolf. He’s a cop.

Anyway, there is a BUNCH of action at the end. Car chases, bombs, stabbing, wolf fights, and my personal favorite……kidnapping 😩😩😩

Then the topper on this mess- H retires at the end, they move back to their parents’ house, and watch the old man die. Talk about a mood killer at the end of a book.

A few months later, h is pregnant.

Undercover shifter's second chance

An action packed shifter romance, with drama, action, secrets, investigations, second chances, love, passion, some great twists and a HEA. Would strongly recommend.

Holly and Theo met when their parents married but had realised they were fated themselves, however after graduating Theo disappeared without a word.

Ten years later she's working to catch cheating couples, to earn enough to pay for her daughter's hospital bills. But when her next subject turns out to be Theo their bond reignites and he's intent on protecting her. He's been working in secret without knowing Holly's own secret.

A fated mate story - Theodore & Holly - where they meet each other when their parents get married, so they are legally stepsiblings. But unfortunately, when he graduates, he takes a job as an undercover investigator and has to cut all ties with family. When she graduates, she takes jobs where essentially, she gets evidence to break up cheating couples. And that is how they meet again. A man suspects his girlfriend is cheating and hires Holly to find out and get evidence. When she gets close to the suspect, the man the suspect is meeting is Theodore. From there we have a story of intrigue, twists and turns, angst, high speed chases, and reconciliation. An enjoyable story.

Fate’s Uncanny Timing

Holly and her stepbrother Theodore turned out to be fated mates but one day he mysteriously disappears. Years later having had her life turned upside down she is work a case of a cheating girlfriend when she catches the woman with her missing mate. The emotional conflict as well as the immense pain Holly feels could almost be felt through the pages of this book. What develops is a plot that was suspenseful, dangerous and full of surprises. It was truly an intriguing read.
