This was missing something throughout. I never really felt for the characters and could have subbed any of the people we interacted with for the MC's and still had the same story. Not much romance or substance.
Megan’s lack of self esteem drove me absolutely crazy. I can understand why she struggled but it would’ve made more sense for deeper issues to have taken root because of worse things happening. Amanda was perfect. I really enjoyed her character throughout. Overall, it was a cute book and a quick little read.
This is a beautiful story not just about love but also about forgiveness, understanding and two people rebuilding their lives together. I’m looking forward to reading more books from Mia J Hart.
Found it hard to read, almost impossible connect to the characters. The idea is sound, but the perspective you see it from almost makes it feel as if these are notes to someone making this into amshow
The concept was a good one, there just didn't seem to be any chemistry between Amanda and Megan. Their relationship was more like two women who have been together for 30 years than two women who were just starting out. lol
Feels like the skeleton of a really good body of work. There wasn’t enough buildup for the chemistry that existed between the characters. There is a lot of depth, relational, trauma, and chemistry that could really use some better foundations. But I did enjoy it.
A story so good, I don't even have the words to describe how. I just know, it geo me turning page after page. There are moments when emotions overwhelmed me, but the story continued beyond those emotions to a warm ,quite, and satisfying ending.
