The bird shifters have ruled the world passing as angels for so long that in the aftermath of their fall, I don’t know what to do. It all went to shit for me when I was unlucky enough to catch the eye of one particular archangel. And between my imprisonment, torture, and disfigurement, I am not the same anymore. That is, until my best friend decides she’s had enough of my pity party and forces me to attend a different kind of party.
The Starlit Desire Festival.
The catch? This festival is all about love and affection, and there’s nothing I hate more than love at the moment. I’ve sworn I’ll never fall for anyone ever again. Which is laughable, knowing what I am. My name is Maëlle, and I’m a flamingo shifter—a Cupid, as the humans like to call us. And maybe, just maybe, I shouldn’t have said never. Because fate has some surprises in store for me, and I’m about to find out what they are.
Even Cupids Love is a Valentine's novella in the Starlit Desires series, but is also directly tied to the Even Ever After series.
This story takes place after book 3 of the Even Ever After series, in which FMC Maëlle had been freed from her captivity. Now, permanently scarred, Maëlle prefers to stay at home so no one will see her. Her best friend Alana convinces her to go out for Valentine's Day, especially since the Starlit Desires festival is a masquerade party, so Maëlle can cover her scars to feel more comfortable. Maëlle does not expect to find even one, but manages to find two shifters that seem to light a fire inside her. FMC Simon, a fox shifter, sees Maëlle and is immediately drawn to her. FMC Xavier, a lizard shifter, is also interested, but has to unfortunately leave the party early. This leaves Simon and Maëlle to give into their desires at this spicy festival.
I love the Starlit Desires festival portion of this story. What a fun way to spend Valentine's Day, where Maëlle goes from planning to never fall for anyone again, to finding two shifters she is interested in. I find it so amusing that the bat shifter Maëlle dubs "asshole" aka Pierre, due to his attitude at the bar, also manages to be interested in her, but keeps it to himself. After Maëlle receives a threat from her previous captor, the 3 shifters have her and Alana come live at the castle until they can track down the sender. (Because of course, all three of these shifters she encountered at the Starlit Desires festival know each other and work together.) Maëlle already had the best orgasm of her life with Simon, now she has free access to him, and a bed, so they have quite a bit of fun.
I feel bad that Xavier sort of "missed" his chance by having to leave the festival early, because his character interests me the most of the 3 males. But, the end of the story mentions there will be an extended version of this story coming later this year, and I cannot wait to read that!!
I do feel the story was a little rushed, and the "love triangle" isn't really there. Xavier kind of sits on the sidelines and watches vs actually trying to get his chance with Maëlle. The fact that there will be an extended version of this story though makes me excited, because every book E. V. Sauvage writes is amazing, and I think the extended version of this story will really let all the characters shine.
Some fav quotes: "And in a way, I missed this. Body contact. Feeling alive. All of this. And it's the Starlit Desires festival. Why shouldn't I enjoy it?"
""So impatient, Little Liar," he says between kisses. "I like to take my time.""
"Did he just offer to share me with someone else? Why does it sound hot? Why does that thought make me wetter? Fleeting images of a fox on a swing and a bat glaring at me pass quickly through my mind."
""I'm seeing enough to know I'd like to make you scream my name," he says with a smile that should be illegal."
"I'm so f***ing hard it hurts, and she's been on my lap for what? Seconds? What is this witchery?"
"If someone had told me this morning that I would be lying on a glass panel, legs spread wide with a stranger between them tonight, I would have laughed in their face. But this is where I am, and truth be told, I'm loving it."
""You're beautiful," he says, his eyes searing my soul with the intensity in them, and his words branding my heart at the same time. "With or without the mask.""
"Maybe this, him and me, us, that was all I needed, too, to finally let go of the horrors of my past. Maybe here and now is the beginning of my new life."
Thank you so much to the author for a copy of this book!
Listen. If “please don’t make me leave my house, I’d rather read and snack while the world is on fire” were a book, this would be it. 🫠📚🍿
This is now the third book I’ve read by E.V. Sauvage, and I fear she is speed-running her way into my auto-buy, drop-everything author list. (Note to self: find and read ALL her books.)
This novella may be short (167 pages), but WOW does it punch above its weight. 💘🦩 Maëlle is a flamingo shifter—aka a Cupid—who is traumatized, burnt out, and aggressively over love after imprisonment, torture, and having her entire world wrecked. Honestly? Relatable. Especially right now. 🙃🔥
✨ Forced socialization ✨ A love triangle ✨ The Starlit Desire Festival (aka my introvert nightmare) ✨ Fate doing that annoying thing where it refuses to mind its own business
Bonus for fans: this story takes place in the same world as Even Robots Die (the first book I read by her). You don’t have to read that one first—but you will miss some very fun Easter eggs if you don’t. 👀🥚📖
The neurospicy energy hit HARD. The isolation. The avoidance. The “I swear I’ll never love again” declarations that fate immediately laughs at. I felt deeply, personally attacked—in the best way. 🧠⚡💔
Dark, witty, emotionally sharp, and surprisingly tender, Even Cupid’s Love is perfect if you want: • Valentine’s Day vibes with teeth 🩸 • Shifters + fallen angels • Trauma, healing, and messy feelings • A quick read that still sticks with you
📅 Out February 10th — and yes, you want this on your TBR.
Final verdict: I laughed. I winced. I nodded aggressively. I did not want to rejoin the real world after finishing. 10/10 would hide from reality with this book again. 💕📖✨
I love this world that E.V. Sauvage has created and is expanding upon! This story is set in the aftermath of the revolution from The Even Ever After series (can be read as a standalone), and we get some appearances and Easter eggs from beloved characters from the past, while navigating a new storyline with Maëlle, a flamingo shifter — aka Cupid, according to the humans. Maëlle was held captive and tørtured by a bird shifter that shall not be given the decency of having his name repeated, and is trying to find herself and love herself given the scars she bears — both seen and unseen.
🦩Cinderella Retelling 🖤She Hates Love ❤️🩹Scarred FMC 🦩Flamingo & Snow Fox Shifter Pairing 🖤He Has Magic Fingers 💦 ❤️🔥He Falls First 🦩Love Triangle 🖤Revolution Aftermath
Maëlle has written off love — there’s no way she’ll find it given her past experiences and current disfigurement. But when her bestie has had it with her pity party and forces her to attend the Starlit Desire Festival, Maëlle might have spoken too soon…fate may have a surprise or two, or three?, in store for her…
My heart went out to Maëlle, she was strong in the face of her captors and the trauma she’s working through has deeply affected her outlook on life. Trying to live again is hard, and loving oneself even harder. Luckily, there are some men who are drawn to her that want to help her on her journey…by any means necessary.
Green flag morally grey protective heroes? ✔️
Small and grand gestures of affection? ✔️
Delicious spicy times? ✔️
While I’m not a fan of love triangles or sort of love triangles/squares, I am curious to see how this story will unfold once it’s expanded!
Quick, fun and spicy novella in the Starlit Desires series. These books have been the perfect Valentines treat.
Set in a world of shifters and humans, we are introduced to a number of different species. I loved the characteristics of each real life animal coming through in their in their on page renditions. I wish there had been more to the story, but there are promises of an extended version, so it appears I’ll get my wish at some point.
Maëlle has been scarred by her last relationship, and imprisonment. She has hidden herself away from everyone but her best friend, Alana. At Alana encouragement the two decide to attend a Valentine’s celebration, The Starlit Desires Festival. What’s meant to be a night of fun and throwing away inhibitions marks a rebirth for Maëlle. She meets not one, but three handsome shifters and is thrust into their world after she is threatened by her past.
As things heat up between Maëlle and the sly and heartwarming fox, Simon, she begins to think she may just be ready to allow herself to feel again. Throw in Xavier, a lizard with uncanny senses who enjoys people watching and bat-asshole, Pierre and things quickly get interesting…and confusing for our FMC.
While there were some things I would’ve liked to have been explored more I am thankful for the early edition. Overall, I enjoyed this read and can’t wait to see if the gaps are filled in with the extended version.
This is a shifter- romance with spice. Make sure you know what that means before reading. Also check TW before reading
I love this damn story and I also cannot wait to read the other stories of this series.
This is part of the Starlit Desires series with the main connecting force is the Starlit Masquerade, but I could be wrong as this is the first in the series I’ve read.
The Starlit Masquerade is all about love, emotions, and acting on those emotions. You know, hedonism, but like up to 100%…maybe?
The story takes place in France and for those history nerds they may enjoy the locations and back story if Maëlle’s, the FMC, life. Well, I guess it’s the backstory of this whole world.
The bird-shifters are the bad guys. They maybe impersonated archangels and ruled tyrannically. Everyone hated them and they were cruel. Maëlle was held as prisoner and tortured only freed after a very bloody battle took place between the bird-shifters and everyone else including humans.
I loved the background story and honestly could a 500 page about this. I want one. I love with world so much.
Okay, Maëlle is learning to live again, accept herself after her torture which disfigured her, and she’s also learning to love and be vulnerable again.
It’s also a kind of love triangle, but I see it going more in the why choose direction. In this story it ends her picking one guy, but it’s open for the other two.
Go read this story. It’s a novella and you won’t want to put it down. It’s got action and drama oh and spice, duh!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to this amazing author for sharing an ARC of this book with me !!!
“Since you don’t want to give me your name I’m gonna make you scream mine”
Loved it. Beautiful. Passionate. Complicated. Exciting. Deep. Emotional. In love. This book was everything!!! As it happens I knew I would have enjoyed it, considering how obsessed every single book in this series has left me. But this time around, it was all about healing. About rediscovering your self worth. About relearning how to love. About letting yourself be loved, despite the struggles and suffering of the past. It’s all because “your scars do not define you”. They are a part of who you are. But they are not you. And when you’re a Cupid and you have three grown and handsome shifters reminding you that every day … well, you’re a lucky gal. Maëlle’s story was amazing. Such a deep and beautiful character she was. Such an amazing friend. And such a beautiful arc was waiting for her, that I couldn’t help but be there for her, every step of the way. Even if it was for a short while. And the spice is always worth it, let me remind you !!! I loved it !!! And I cannot wait for everyone else in the world to love it too !!
I loved the story, I loved the spice, but I abhorred the sort-of cliffhanger! I was highly anticipating the MMMF action, but as I neared the book's end and none of that was happening, I kept wondering when it was finally going to take place! When I did get to the end, I found my answer.
Regardless of that frustrating cliffhanger, the story and its development was enough to make me quite happy with the book. It's really the FMC's story - how Maelle learns to overcome the horrors of her very traumatic past, given that she has her inescapable physical scars to remind her of them every day. It's her story of learning to see herself whole and beautiful again in spite of her disfigurement and the haunting memories of her past captivity and torture. She accomplishes this with the help of three very different male shifters who are undeniably drawn to her, though in this book we only get to see her finally open her entire being to one of them. It is with a future release the author plans for later this year that we'll be able to witness the rest of Maelle's journey to healing and wholeness. And of course, to her much awaited entanglement with three very special shifters!
I was granted a free review copy of this book. I leave this review voluntarily.
This novella takes us back into the fantasy world of the Even Ever After universe, and I was so excited to return after everything that happened with the shifter revolution. Maëlle is a flamingo shifter, a Cupid, who has been through real trauma and has been living quietly and guarded ever since. When her best friend convinces her to attend the Starlit Desire Festival, she never expects to be pulled into a connection with not one, but multiple shifters who all see her differently and want her in their own way. Simon and Xavier each bring something unique into her life, and the love triangle element kept me completely hooked from the start.
I was so excited to get a glimpse of this shifter world after everything changed, and this story pulled me in right away. I loved watching Maëlle navigate her trauma while slowly letting herself feel wanted again, especially with the support of her best friend and the attention from Simon and Xavier. The love triangle had me fully invested and I could not wait to see where it would go. Even though this is a short novella, it was packed with emotion, tension, and heat. The chemistry was strong, the spice absolutely delivered, and I devoured it in one sitting. I finished this both satisfied and desperate for more.
If you love fantasy romance, shifters, love triangles, and short reads that still bring depth and spice, this is one you will want to add to your list.
Another great novella in this wonderful world of shifters.
I have read all of the series so far and each time the author succeeds in bringing a new shifter character to life with ease and these characters are no different.
This may be a short and spicy Valentines themed novella, but it lacks nothing on a darker plot, as Maelle tries to heal from the actions of her stalker that left her both physically and mentally scarred.
When her best friend encourages her to dress up and attend the Starlit Desires Festival, Maelle insists on wearing a mask to hide her face. Safe behind her mask she encounters not 1, but 3 interesting Men...the playful fox, the brooding bat and the observant lizard. In yrue Cinderella style, she flees the ball without giving her name or any indication of who she is, but fate won't let her get away that easily and she will soon encounter those same 3 men again. Who will she choose and is she really safe fall in love again?
Note that this will leave you on a bit of a cliffhanger.
“I might be the only cupid in the city who hates anything romance-related, but for tonight, I’ll forget all about it for the sake of my best friend.”
All because Maelle’s best friend, Alana, does this story happen. Wanting to celebrate the Starlit Desires Festival with her friend turned hermit crab, Alana talks Maelle into heading out to enjoy life again after her traumatic time being locked away. Maybe with a mask Maelle will feel safe to let people see her. For now. Maelle has deep dark scars and the inside and the out. She doesn’t like people to see how ugly they are and how ugly they make her feel. But after meeting a few wonderful males does she see there are people out there who love you, scars and all. And boy do they show up for this female. 👀
I really enjoyed how they are all different shifters! Super fun 🤭 Simon was so darn cute! I’m so happy with the ending but I also feel like we’re missing someone? I hope to get more from these characters soon! You can’t leave me hanging like that lol
Thank you E.V. Sauvage for my eARC 🫶🏼 I’m so ready for more of this story!!
I fell in love with E.V.Sauvage’s writing last year when I read one of her books as an arc. I then went on to join her street team as I just live here writing and the Even Ever After series just keeps getting better.
Even Cupid’s Love is a novella in the starlight Desires series which is made up of 6 novellas by different authors. Even Cupids Fall is also linked to the Even Ever After series which E.V.Sauvage has written. You can read this book as a standalone but there are characters from the other books and also Easter eggs everywhere.
If you love
Cinderella Retelling She Hates Love Scarred FMC Flamingo & Snow Fox Shifter Pairing He Has Magic Fingers He Falls First Love Triangle Revolution Aftermath
Then this may be for you.
Do check your trigger warnings beforehand.
I love Maelle she has gone through so much and is trying hard to not let her trauma shape her future. She’s trying to live her life which is tough.
This is a short and spicy valentines novella which doesn’t scrimp on the storyline
“Since you don’t want to give me your name, I’m gonna make you scream mine”
Ugh I love this universe sooooo much! EV Sauvage's creativity is insane! I love all the ways she ties supernatural beings with shifters. I mean a flamingo shifter as Cupid?!? I love it!!! I absolutely devoured this book so fast, and I couldn't get enough! I really enjoyed reading about Maëlle as she worked through her trauma and the support of her best friend throughout it all. We also got the reappearance of some characters from other books. I love how EV Sauvage subtly ties everything together hehe And the spice?!? Phenomenal as usual! I was both mad I have to wait and so excited to see that an extended version of this novella is coming!!! I'm really hoping for a certain outcome for her and her three MMCs choices in the extended version 👀👀
Thank you EV Sauvage for the opportunity to read this ARC. All opinions are honest, and I am leaving a review voluntarily.
ARC review Even Cupids Love is a fun, flirty, and steamy novella that delivers on entertainment but lacks the emotional depth to make it a standout romance. It’s perfect for a quick read when you want something light and sexy, but if you’re looking for a deeply emotional, character-driven love story, this won’t fully satisfy. The start of the book is set during the Starlit Desires festival, a masquerade style celebration blending Valentine’s Day with the mythical world of shifters. The story follows Maëlle, a flamingo shifter (cupid) with scars from her past imprisonment and betrayal. Reluctantly dragged to the festival by her best friend Alana, Maëlle hides behind a mask, avoiding attention until she crosses paths with two very different shifters: Simon (Fox shifter) and Xavier (lizard shifter). Maëlle is navigates her insecurities while enjoying the attention of two very different males. The ending is open ended, hinting at future developments.
Perfect quick read just in time for a Valentine’s Day, I hope we get even more of this group of characters and from the sounds of it we will!
In the aftermath of the fall of those in power, our FMC was set free from her cage by a familiar other female human, but has spent her time since then in fear that people will judge her for the scars she got while being imprisoned. When Valentine’s Day arrives her best friend convinces her to finally break out of her shell and go out and lucky for her she meets a trio of handsome but equally frustrating men. When the man she escaped starts trying to scare her again, she must decide if she can trust these men to protect her or seek vengeance on her own.
This was a fast paced and exiting book set back in the same world but after the aftermath of the previous ones. I enjoyed getting to see old characters while building up the storylines of new ones. I also really enjoyed the found family vibes of the group in this one. And of course plenty of tension and banter to go around! Overall my rating 4.2/5!
Thanks to the author for the gifted copy, all opinions given are my own!
OMG, I want and need more! This novella is absolutely incredible, and you truly have to read the entire Even Ever After series, as we get to meet some of the other characters again!
Meet Maëlle, a flamingo shifter, with pink wings, who was tortured and left scarred by Raphael. After being rescued, she hides away in her apartment and from the world. When her best friend finally convinces her to attend the Starlit Desire Festival, Maëlle hesitantly agrees. She hides her scars and she goes out, and that’s when she meets three shifters: Simon, Xavier, and Pierre.
I loved reading how Maëlle worked through her trauma with the help of her best friend and the tree shifters. She realizes that her scars don’t define who she is and allows herself to fall for one… maybe two… or maybe all three of them. Each one of them supports Maëlle in their way and help her work through her anxiety and trauma. I loved all three shifters for her and how each one of them cared for her in their own way.
Maëlle has been through hell in a cell when the other bird shifters held her and others captive. Althiugh she is free from those circumstances she is very reclusive. Her best friend and fellow shifter Alana convinces her to go to the Starlit Festival to let loose. Maëlle only agrees after she realizes she can hide her scares. At least the physcial ones she acquired while captive. Little does she know that one night out and hiding under her mask would change everything for her.
This book does have some content not suitable for all readers. Check those warnings!! The spice is delicious, the sass is hilariously evident, the cocky MMCs are delectable in their own ways and ohhhhhhh I am excited to see what comes of this. If you have read her Even Ever After Series, this novella takes place in this same world.
This is a great Valentine’s Day novella and just in time for the holiday. I was so excited to jump back into this world and to meet more amazing characters. I love the complexity of them all. Each one broken in their own way and trying to forge their path ahead. The creativity of the shifters is so enjoyable, and I just can’t get enough. Maëlle, the FMC, has a tragic past and hates leaving the safety of her home until her best friend convinces her to go to masked festival where she meets 3 shifters all drawn to her in some way. This is a dark, spicy, and magical little story and a great addition to the Even Ever After series. It was like a little tease and I’m dying to read more in the extended version when it comes out.
Thank you so incredibly much to the author for a gifted advanced reader copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review, and all thoughts are my own.
In the novella, Even Cupids Love, the world is still dealing with the aftereffects of the war. Maëlle is a flamingo shifter who had caught the eye of one of the archangels. Now that she’s been freed from captivity, she is struggling with the consequences of the torture, abuse, and disfigurement she endured. Concerned about her, her best friend manages to convince her to go out for the Starlit Desire Festival, an event that celebrates love and affection. What happens when Maëlle goes out? Is she still capable of giving and receiving love and affection?
I have no idea how E.V. Sauvage keeps doing this to me but somehow, I keep coming back for more. I swear, The Never Ever After Series has got to be one of my favourite series of all time! I wish this story was longer but I’m super thankful to E.V. Sauvage for gifting me this ARC!
Thank you to E.V. Sauvage for providing me with a copy of the book. I am excited to leave a review.
Even Cupids Love is part of the Starlit Desires series, a collection of novellas by six different authors and releases on February 10, 2026. The book is set in the same world as the Even Ever After series and follows a character, Maelle, who was previously imprisoned by the birds, that is struggling with the effects of her imprisonment, torture, and disfigurement at the hands of the bird shifters who held her.
I loved watching Maelle grow and develop throughout the story as she is surrounded by people who encourage her and see her despite her scars. The banter between the characters is perfect. The plot was well done and well-paced. I loved this one and I can’t wait for the extended version to come out later this year.
This world E.V. has created is pure magic. I love all the cameos from characters I already know and adore, and how every book feels like it’s happening alongside the others. You can pick any one up and not feel lost, but together they build something so rich and immersive. I seriously love it.
And now we get another unique shifter- a flamingo shifter 🦩 aka a Cupid. Maelle’s story is heartbreaking and powerful. After being held captive and tortured by Raphael, she’s barely surviving even after she's freed. When she finally pushes herself to go to a party and lets loose, she ends up with three different shifters drawn to her: a lizard, a bat, and a snow fox. We didn’t get the why choose moment yet… but I know it’s coming and I am READY for it. 😌🔥
Set in the same world as previous books where shifters exist in the same world as humans. Maelle is a bird shifter that was imprisoned by Raphelle and rescued by Florentine. Xavier is a lizard shifter also captured by birds and held prisoner. Simon is a fox shifter that worked with the bats to overthrow the birds. Pierre is a bat shifter that has a lot of pressure on is shoulders.
When Maelle encounters Simon at a masquerade ball things get steamy real quick. However, she also meets Xavier and Pierre and sparks fly with those two as well. Maelle begins this book as a scared and had self esteem issues because of her past trauma. She however finds the strength that she needs to become stronger in Simon especially when all three accept her as she is and nothing more.
The book does end but there is an extended version coming out soon and I'm excited. This is going to be HOT!
Thank you to E.V. Sauvage for the ARC Copy in exchange for my honest review.
A very captivating story. It takes like old world charm and luxury from Versailles France with the modern workings of shifters.
Coming in after a war, where some prisoners still bear the scars of it. Maelle is a very relatable character. Being scared and beaten down by an ex and then trying to figure how you can function in society without everyone seeing your scars and judging is hard work.
Agreeing to go to a ball, and then meeting a hot lizard shifter that likes to watch, a sexy fox shifter with talent and a grumpy bat shifter that you don’t really like.
The story was great. There are hints of a potential reverse harem but it doesn’t come into play in this book. Really looking forward to reading the next books to see relationships blossom with the other shifters.
If you've read any books in the Even Ever After series, you have to read this novella also!
Even Cupids Love is set in the same world, taking place in the aftermath of the revolution. Maëlle is a flamingo shifter (what humans call Cupids) who was held captive by the bird shifters and is now trying to figure out life after being saved. Maëlle's trauma deeply affected her, and the events in this novella are the start of her healing journey.
I love reading stories in this world, and how Em connects all the different stories but allows each one to be read as a standalone (but you really should read them all).
While this one is short, it definitely packs a punch. It's emotional, filled with tension, and of course, spice. I'm excited for more of Maëlle's story!
E.V. SauvageI loved this novella. The story was strong, and it was a pleasure to read. The cover is simple but eye-catching. I liked it and thought it was a great design job. The writing is great and flows well. The book is written in first person from multiple points of view - Maëlle, Simon, Xavier and Pierre. The settings were good, and I loved the world-building. The characters were wonderful. It was fun watching Maëlle, Simon, Xavier and Pierre interact with each other and the world around them. It was excellent characterisation, I thought. I definitely recommend the novella and the Starlit Desires series.
This was very quick and really was only one part of a story. It's a good start. I think it could do with an entire rewrite into a full blown story. I think the author intends to extend this novella by the message at the end of the book, so I will review it with that in mind.
Right now, as it stands, there is little more to the story than sudden attraction to three handsome men. There is some background to the story that you may not understand without reading the other books in the series. Although the author does toss a snippet your way in the beginning. There is a short history from the MFC's perspective and the minimal amount of plot at the moment is so far just background noise to the spice.
We have some of the typical tropes in romance: Traumatized FMC, Grumpy/Sunshine MMCs, Cinnamon roll energy, protect energy, and lots of Who Did This. There is plenty of spice.
This was a super sweet, and deliciously spicy, shifter romance.
Maëlle's backstory was heartbreaking, so I was totally rooting for our flamingo shifter, a cupid to the humans, the entire way through this novella. Thankfully she has her bestie, Alana, who is a parrot shifter, on her side.
Alana convinces Maëlle to attend a valentine's day party in Paris, and it kicks off an emotional healing journey she very much needed.
This novella was fantastic, and I definitely need more from this world!
I received an ARC of this ebook from the author, and I'm voluntarily leaving this review.
A flamingo, a fox, a lizard and a bat walk into a bar..... oh this sounds like the start of a corny joke 😂
Or maybe it's the start of something sweet and romantic with a side of spice.
This short novella is a perfect Valentines/ month of love read! You don't need to understand the ins and outs of the world building established in previous books but it does help a little. Otherwise, it's perfect for a shifter romance book, with some suspense involving a stalker (and not the good kind), leaves you absolutely wanting more, and I really need more!
This is the perfect short story to be included in a valentines / romance anthology!! The characters are healing from the chaos of previous books, and we get to know them more from meeting them quickly before. I cannot wait for the extended version to see what happens with Xavier and Pierre too! Simon was so perfect for Maelle and all 3 are so protective of her. However, Alana gets major BFF points for setting it all up. Anxiously awaiting the extended version!
The start of the story was really intense. I liked to see how she interacted with the three of them and the club part was PERFECT! I was left BREATHLESS. However the other half I felt like she chose too fast between them and how she left the others for the one...to be fair...I didn't like it too much.. I feel like the voice of the story changed in the other half of the book but I'm still curious if there is a continuation. it's a nice little story to read!
I am incredibly grateful to have been chosen to get an advanced copy of this book. This was a lighthearted, funny, flirty and a bit spicy read. “The worst guys are usually the best in bed.” Was my favorite quote throughout the book. It made me laugh at the banter between all the characters. I can’t wait to see what E.V Sayvage comes out with next!
