*I received and ARC in exchange for an honest review*

This was a very quick and easy read. It flowed really smoothly. Very entertaining too.
Eddie is a man with bad experiences. He is running from his past and he has a life mapped out in front of him. He has rules and he doesn’t like breaking them.
Gwynn ‘Red’ is a woman who is going to make him break them all for her.
Gwynn is a very spirited young woman. She is a spitfire and a fighter. She works at night and she is a very brave heroine, making it on her own. She is everything that Eddie doesn’t want in a woman but he can’t seem to forget about her.
After a series of circumstances, they are brought together and of course, they cannot stay away from each other.
This is the first M. Dauphin book I’ve read and I think it won’t be the last. Eddie and Red belong together and you can feel their attraction as you turn the pages of this book.
I cannot wait for part two. 4 Stars from me.

Fight
By: Author M. Dauphin

I am seriously addicted to reading author M. Dauphins stories, they are the type of books that hook you, takeover your heart and mind and leave you begging for more!
Gwynn is a feisty, awesome, slightly broken young woman who I believe fights to keep away the bad memories as much as her personal demons because of the past.
Eddie is also slightly broken who is running as much from his past as his future denying himself happiness in the face of his improbable belief that he is only what his DNA makes him.
These two not only deserve each other, they need each other. This book ends on one of Author Mallory Dauphin's epic cliffhangers so get ready to enjoy the RollerCoaster ride that is Fight and come to an abrupt WTH jolting stop that may leave you looking for lost pages, laughing manically, ripping out strands of hair and begging this amazing author to hurry up and write the next one!!
I recommend this book to everyone 18+up due to adult situations.
Seriously this author is on my top ten list and I always wish that there were more then five stars!

I was given a copy of the book by the author for a honest review, all thoughts and feelings are my own:)

I am ashamed to say that this is the first Book I have read by M. Dauphin, but it will Definitely NOT be my last.. I loved Fight I fell in love with Gwynn(RED) and Eddie. These two have had a less than perfect life. They each have their own demons they are battling with. My heart breaks for Eddie, he lives in constant fear that he carries the evil genes of his father, so relationships are out of the question for him.. He lives by few rules Treat everyone with kindness, NEVER FIGHT, and Never fall in love... That was until he met the hot headed red head..

Gwynn the fiery red head. I love her. The day she graduated college was the day her life changed forever. Now left dealing with her own demons of regret and guilt due to very unfortunate circumstances leaves her finding her safe place in FIGHTING..

I loved Fight, but I did want to throw my tablet across the room when it ended. It ends in a cliffhanger that stopped my heart. I had to take a few deep breaths and say a few bad words..
But don't let that discourage anyone, because Fight is a fabulous start to what promises to be a fantastic series..
So I am anxiously waiting for Fight part two.. Hurry please...

I forged to 20%

Then I quit because these two characters are too OTT screwed up for me to read about and enjoy. I cannot connect or feel for them in anyway, and it's too important for me to feel something for the main characters in the story. She becomes all screwed up and violent because her dad died, and he won't have a relationship because he's scared he will turn out like is abusive father. I've read this kind of broken in characters too much, and I didn't buy the drama any other time either. It's overdone and unbelievable that people feel this way in these circumstances. These characters need therapy before romance will help.

I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
Fight is M. Dauphin's best yet. I read all 3 of her Devastatingly Beautiful series books and loved them all, but THIS book, this one I absolutely love. If you have read the other's and you loved Molly and Tatum, you will fall harder for Eddie and Red in Fight. This is my new power duo and I need more, more, more. M. Dauphin never disappoints with a compelling story line and desirable characters that pull you into the story. Red and Eddie keep you turning pages, telling yourself just one more chapter, but before you know it, you've read the entire book in one sitting.

Guess what I did this last weekend? I read, slept, ate, read, slept, ate, spent time with my family, read, repeat. Yup, pretty much all I did!. I binged on the awesome storytelling of M. Dauphin! I meant to write this up a few days ago, but alas, my chaotic life mixed in with all the crazy and my days were lost. I even lost a day somewhere. I hate that! But I digress….let me tell you about this book I read once….. (Excuse the funny, I’m cracking myself up here!)

When most think about MMA fighters, you generally think of it be a man's sport right? There’s nothing wrong in that thinking because it’s what automatically comes to mind. Personally, I find it pretty bad ass that many women have moved into the sport and taken it by storm. That is one of the things snagged my attention in this book! But it’s the story itself and the two main characters that make it so much more.

Gwynn (Red) is a freaking tough cookie! Her life hasn’t always been sunshine and cookies, but she lucked out with having parents who were dedicated and loving. She had goals early on in life and she felt like she was on a good path to reach those goals. Like life in general, it takes one thing, one action, one solitary second to alter your whole world. For Gwynn, it was one night when she chose to go out with friends instead of meeting her parents. There was an accident and the one man she had loved always and was closest to, leaves her quickly. She has to pick up the shattered pieces of her heart. In the process she changes so many things about herself and her goals. She finds peace in fighting. Gone are the goals to teach little ones and in it’s place is the goal to let every frustration and anger she has out of her into fighting. She can leave it in the ring or the gym and walk away feeling better than before.

Eddie (Texas) is a man who has had to survive on his own for most of his life. Unlike Gwynn, he didn’t have a good man in his life to mold him into an even better person. Instead he was left with a monster that took away the one woman he loved and in her place a void that later is filled with anger and hatred. He learns what it’s like to literally fight for you life, safety and peace. It’s an incredibly rough road to travel. The things he thought he wanted for his life? That all goes away when he realizes how easy it would be to turn into the monster that haunts him. It’s easier to push everyone away and not let them see how truly damaged you are. Even more so when you crave solitude. All of that led him to give himself three solid rules that he’s abided by all his adult life. Those rules have allowed him to focus on his work and the peace it brings him. He may be a computer geek, but he knows he’s the best there is. He can find the missing pieces and lose himself in the challenge. It’s easier than giving up the rules.
It’s a chance meeting literally between the two that sets out to utterly change their separate paths. She’s fighting back and he walks into the middle of it thinking it’s a “chick” fight and he can’t walk away from it. He can’t stand to see the fighting that goes on and the hurt others bring to each other. The jokes on him when he realizes exactly what’s going on! He’s not happy but he’s also drawn to her. In a way he’s never experienced before. She feels the connection too. But what is it exactly? Why? What does this mean?

This means, get yourself ready because the real fight begins! (HAHA See what I did there?) Their mutual attraction brings them together and fate pushes it a little farther when they realize how close together they have been all this time. Their path connects and it’s anything but easy. There are battle scars, opponents and chaos surrounding them. Can they team up and have each others back? Can they heal on their own, or will it be their feelings together that does it?

It’s a rollercoaster of a ride that causes them to shatter all over again! Does he break his rules for her? Does she stop doing what brings her peace? Are either one of them really ready for this? Can either them see what the other sees in them and realize they deserve love too?

Creative adoration (positives): Miss M. brings forward two characters who are so strong and brave. I have to be honest, when it comes to sports/fighting/MMA books, I’ve read too many that follow the same path and it’s just redone in a different way. Not with this book! She switched it up and twisted it so that you automatically start questioning things. I love characters that I can connect with and in some ways identify with. I really loved their banter, love, intelligence and tenacity.

Creative indifference (negatives): There are a few times where the descriptions of the fighting and past trauma’s were a little tough for me. In those times I set it aside for a little bit then went back to it. But that’s not a reflection on the author. It’s my own past, and it’s to be expected. It did nothing to take away from the story.

Creative appraisal (overall): If you’re looking for something strong, steamy, witty, raw and real, then snag this up! I was intrigued and enthralled right away. Miss M. knows how to spin a story that leaves you asking questions and looking forward to the next one!

My star rating: 5 out of 5 stars

4 -- “One look, that’s all it took” -- stars

Gwynn isn’t the same girl she was before she lost her father. She blamed herself and was in a bad place. Things got a lot better when she could fight and she realizes that she is really good at it. Since then she has been into underground fighting. She also works as a bartender. Gwynn is a small woman with red hair and a couple tattoos.

Eddie is a computer nerd, but he doesn’t really look like one. He’s muscular and he has tattoos. His childhood wasn’t easy and he lost his mother at an early age. His sister left when she was 18 years old and he has no way of contacting her. He has been searching for her ever since. Eddie only has 3 rules and he has never came close to breaking them, until he meets Gwynn.

Gwynn is fighting with some girl outside the bar where she works and Eddie tries to stop the fight. He looks in her eyes and he feels something. Gwynn also feels something, but she runs away from him because she doesn’t know how to react. The next day they meet again when Eddie eats lunch at the bar where Gwynn works. That evening, Gwynn can’t get in her apartment and goes to ask her neighbor for help. That neighbor is… Eddie. They have been living so close to each other for so long, but they both barely leave their apartment. Gwynn asks Eddie’s help and it’s the start of their friendship. The feelings are there, but Eddie doesn’t want to break all his rules. Eventually things get heated, but Eddie always leaves.

I liked this novella a lot. It’s a great start to the series. We know who the main characters are after the first two chapters and what their pasts are. I liked both main characters, but Gwynn a little bit more. Eddie thought too much ‘I want her and I need her, but I can’t’. If that was less frequent, this novella would have been 5 stars for me. I liked Tatum and he’s a good friend for Eddie. I liked Jase at the beginning. He was a great friend for Gwynn when her dad died, but he changes when Gwynn meets Eddie. He starts acting weird and I think he’s going to cause trouble in the future.

I hope that in the next novella we learn more about Eddie’s sister, that they will tell their secrets to each other and that they become an official couple.

Fight Part 1 by M. Dauphin is my first book to read by this author. Reading the synopsis, it really didn't give me much to go on, what this book would be about. So I was left to Judging by title and cover, to make an assumption of the subject of this book myself.

I was close to being right, this is a book about a fighter. Oh, see how smart I am! That was an easy one, but I was wrong too. You would assume that the guy would be the fighter in the story but, no it was the female lead! Then of course there has to be love in the book, it was in the romance section, so I did have help.

This wasn't your normal MMA fighter book, Gwynn, the fighter, does it more for sport. She kind of uses this as a coping mechanism. She is a tiny redheaded, little spitfire. She has had a hard time in life and she is just trying to make her way in life.

Eddie is an enigma. He has these rules, he has this past, and he doesn't want a woman. He doesn't want one until Gwynn. Can she be the one to make him break all those rules? They definitely have chemistry and it is red hot!

The characters in this book could have been developed a little more, as well as the setting. I finished the book and I still feel like I'm not real sure what the exact plot of the book was suppose to be. I still enjoyed reading about Eddied and Gwynn. They were great together.
I give Fighter 1 - 3 stars

This is a fast paced read about a guy who has set up certain rules for himself in life. After one look at his neighbor those rules go flying out the window. This story pulled me in at the very beginning, the author gives you just enough details to keep you hooked, but not enough to satisfy you. I will definitely continue reading this series. You are left on a major cliffhanger. Great read if your a fan of romance, MMA fighters or just a quick hot read.

I hope the author picks up in book 2.....

Fighter part 1 is so so. I gave it a good 3 and a half stars. This book was just a little slow for me. I'm torn because I like when authors give intimate details but sometimes I felt like this book dug on just a little to much. I needed just a touch more action, hopefully book 2 will fulfill that for me.

Eddie and Gwynn...A 5 Star couple!

I am LOVING this series! I am so glad that parts 2 and 3 are available. I am dying to find out more about these characters. They have such an intense and emotional connection. I also feel the suspense when it comes to Gwynn's BFF. What will happen next? I'm going to find out right now!

Okay read

This book was okay. It felt too rushed at times and at others too slow. Some drama is thrown in but it never goes anywhere. I am sure the next book will explain more because this one is left with a cliff hanger. The chemistry between Eddie and Gwen is there but way too rushed.

Don't break the rules! That's what Eddie lives by because of the demons from his past. The problem is he meets a feisty Red Head named Gwynne that threw that out the window. Red is a bartender and a fighter that Eddie has become infatuated with. Every time he sees a bruise or her fighting he starts to remember the past and it scares him. Can he believe in himself? Book 1 of 3 in the series

Loved!!!!

I loved everything about this story!!! It's sad that Eddie thinks he'll turn into being exactly like his abusive father but I think Red is just the girl to break through his walls and show him that he's not. And he's exactly what she needs to break through her own walls

22.5 stars

I've given this book 2.5 stars because #1 it's in need of serious editing and #2 it's extremely repetitive, what " red " says or thinks Eddie thinks the exact same thing in his pov.. this story has great potential but just needs a little tlc..

Well for some reason this book just didn't do it for me and I found myself flipping through pages to get to the end. A plus though, its different as I loved how the girl is the MMA fighter and the boy the sexy hot nerd. Unfortunately I won't be continuing with the series so I can't recommend.
