Mind Tricks
I don’t know how to even start this review, because this was a very different kind of story. It’s sort of a romance and sort of a mystery and suspense novel.
Glory was enrolled in the university and her boyfriend pushed her down the steps. She knew she had to flee when she ran into a school counselor named Cora. Cora told Glory about a place that sounded like paradise in the Florida Keys where everyone who worked there, also lived there. Like a family.
Glory was welcomed with open arms by everyone except one guy, a really gorgeous guy. He seemed upset that the dive shop owner took Glory in, though he eventually softens his stance. Everyone at Dave’s Dive Shop was like family, and yet she didn’t want to tell them about her past abuse and the fear Nick would find her again.
This is very readable, the ending is so different, and to me the theme seemed to be found family. Four stars for this unique story.

This series will touch your heart
Last year, I remember reading Glory’s Key and loving the story, but I wanted more. When this double book came out, I rushed to read both stories. I won’t spoil anything because this story needs to be read like I read it. Until the Tide is a perfect title for this series. Oh, and I love Ellis.

I definitely recommend if you like a fun romance. I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the found family and self discovery. This kept me entertained throughout the whole book between the few suspenseful moments and kept me guessing how it was all going to end! I was afraid I knew how it was going to end, but I only partially knew and I was very happy about that as well!

Surprising end
Initially seems like another bland beach story. But then the author takes you through possible ghosts, domestic abuse, violence, self sacrifice and misunderstanding to emerge into memory loss and the loyalty and fierce love between family, friends and ultimately the unending love between lovers. Its a great ride through the twists and turns of this love filled mystery.

Likeable characters and interesting story. Slow and easy progression of the plot. Surprise ending. I enjoyed the friends/ family very strong.

Until the tide …
I lived this book! It was surprisingly sad, romantic, mysterious and enchanting. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good novel to escape into.

Hmm - I am at a loss. I finished the book (I am always willing to DNF if I don't like it partway in), so that means it got my attention and the twist was great - Although I predicted it about 70% through but wasn't sure until the very end. The story was compelling, the setting was unique and I did like the characters....
....But there was something missing in the actual writing. Multiple times I found places where having a good editor would have made things better. Sometimes I couldn't tell who the 'he' was that was being referenced, I found all kinds of weird punctation, and the timelines and the time of day didn't always match up.
...Did I just read an AI book? I honestly don't know.

Loved this novel! This is an engaging novel and easy to read with a well developed storyline that unfolds naturally. The book features strong female characters. I like how their secrets are revealed throughout as the mystery evolves. The writing style is beautiful. I can picture the Florida Keys. I can’t wait for Mr Kent’s next novel! I have Until the Tide three times. Need the next one.

Good start 2nd half bizarre
This book had a really great first half but page one of the second half went down hill quickly. The entire plot built in part one now made absolutely no sense. It was as if two different people wrote part one and part 2.
