I Wish You The Life and Music of Scott Wesley Brown
by Keith Manley with Scott Wesley Brown

What does it look like to give your life not to fame, but to faithfulness?

In I Wish You Jesus, author Keith Manley tells the powerful, deeply human story of Scott Wesley Brown one of the most influential voices in contemporary Christian music whose legacy has always pointed beyond the stage and toward the Savior.

From humble beginnings and early musical stirrings, through decades of songwriting, global ministry, and personal sacrifice, this biography traces the journey of a man who chose obedience over applause and mission over spotlight. Brown’s songs shaped a generation of worshippers, but his greatest message was never confined to lyrics it was lived out through faith, family, and a relentless call to serve Christ around the world.

More than a music biography, this is a story of calling, perseverance, disappointment, joy, and unwavering devotion to Jesus. Readers will discover the heart behind the songs, the cost of ministry, and the quiet strength of a life surrendered to God’s purposes.

Written with warmth, honesty, and spiritual depth, I Wish You Jesus will resonate with musicians, worship leaders, pastors, and anyone who longs to live a life that truly matters.

Because in the end, success is not measured by applause but by faithfulness.

As a child of the 70s and the Jesus Music era, Scott Wesley Brown is a name that will always be tied to the time. The book was a pleasure to read and I found it encouraging as I enter a similar season of life.
The writing style is somewhat simple and repetitive, but I would recommend this for anyone familiar with his music and eager to hear his stories.
