Practical Guide to Alternative Weddings

Rate this book
For people now considering marriage, the old forms of traditional wedding ceremonies may no longer seem appropriate. Finding alternatives that are both dignified and personal is very difficult to find. In this guide, Kate Gordon explains what is now legally necessary and offers alternative forms of ceremonial settings such as a hot air balloon or a tropical beach setting. She also suggests alternative forms of words, useful addresses and sources of information as well as an anthology of readings.

I brought this book hoping to find inspiration for my up and coming Pagan wedding ( July 2009 ) I was very dissapointed with it and felt that it did not deserve to be marketed as an alternative guide.

It is however well written and contains lots of info on both religious and civil ceremonies, there is just nothing really new or "out there" about it :o(

I have since brought a copy of "Off Beat Bride" and it is 100% more useful even though it is written with americans in mind rather than brits like me
