In this much-requested sequel to Blood and Justice, the first book in the series, private investigators, Jake and Annie Lincoln, are drawn into double jeopardy when a serial killer escapes from prison and hires them to find out who killed his parents, and why.
The detectives' own lives are at stake when they find themselves caught in a dangerous and deadly situation, torn between their moral obligation to investigate the cold case murders of the two innocent victims, and to catch the cold-blooded killer who hired them.

This is the sixth book I was waiting so long, start with the first one, and it's free. Annie and Jack lives in beautiful Canada, but I think they should move to US. They can carry guns, Pepper spray or have other protection equipment, even they can strap ruffles on their shoulders in some states. Don't like these laws, but they won't be hurt. Also Jeremy's father won't be jailed for life, because he killed the burglar in his home. Sad story, maybe he would have been different if he had his parents by his side. Annie and Jack did their job again.
A very good story by Hill. Jake and Anne do their thing and get results that the Richmond Hill police can’t. It was engaging and kept me turning pages so that I knocked it off in two days. Ravin Hill ‘s books are all good reads. 5
It is not necessary to use twenty words to described or review this book when two words will do it adequately. A waste of time to say it with a minimum word amount
Until about 99% of the way through the book, I thought I knew where the plot was going. Mr. Hill completely surprised me with the ending. It's a cliche, but true: I never saw THAT coming!
Without a doubt Rayven T. Hill one of my absolute favorite mystery authors. Jake and Annie Lincoln never fail to capture my attention. None stop action that will keep you turning pages. I get so into the story I forget about figuring out the ending and just enjoy the story.
Great resolution to previous book. Even though a man was a killer, I found myself feeling sorry for him and especially his parents. Interesting characters in a well written series. This is a stand alone book.
I really enjoy Hills method of writing. He gets to the point without using foul language, keep your interest until the end.I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Better ending in this book. Didn't see it coming although all the clues were there. Not sure any parent would take an eight year old to a murder victim's gravesite but then these characters are not really based in reality. Pure fiction.
This is book six in this series about Jake and Annie Lincoln. This mystery series has been very good . I have read every one so far and I recommend the series highly. I am getting ready to start book seven . I know that one will be as good as the rest.
Excellent addition to the Jake and Annie stories!! Thank you for clearing up an unanswered question from before! This story as all in this series will keep you on your toes and keep you guessing!
Good story, made an ending to the story of Spencer the killer. The story show a lot about the Lincolns' and how Annie figures thing out. I liked this one.
