When Time Forgot US: A novel

Rate this book
She thought the hardest part would be losing him.
She was wrong.

The real pain begins when he starts coming back.
In whispers.
In flashes.

In moments no dead man should be able to create.

Elise is told it is grief. A mind clinging to what it cannot accept. But her heart insists it is him. And her mind her mind is no longer a place she can trust.

Time bends around her memories. Moments slip. Reality thins. And the past presses closer, demanding to be seen.
To uncover the truth behind what is happening, Elise must walk the razor’s edge between memory and madness.

She must decide what to believe. What to release. And whether time has truly forgotten them or has been waiting all along.
When Time Forgot Us is an emotionally haunting romance about love that refuses to stay buried, the fragile line between remembrance and obsession, and the devastating hope that some connections survive even death.

This is not a story about moving on.
It is about what follows when the past refuses to stay silent.

Well written and deserves to be seen!

Why did this book receive a full five stars? Well, because Sara Stone achieved what most authors strive for. When Time Forgot US kept me hooked from the first sentence and unwilling to put it down. This novel flowed like a timeless river, with mind bending twists, that lead to a world that makes you reluctant to leave. Most importantly, this book gave me a strong sense of nostalgia for a place I have never been to, soul crushing grief that wasn’t even my own, joy that made me jump out of my seat, and a contentment that made me crave more. Honestly it gave me chills many times and I had to remind myself, “This is just a book, even if it was true, its not happening to you.” Unlike the usual small town romance books I have read, this one made feelings wrench from my heart and soul that still linger. I already have compiled a list of people I am going to recommend this book to. I recommend that you do the same thing! One last thing, because of this book, I will hold my loved ones closer and appreciate the time I get with them. Thank you Sara Stone for giving readers like me a chance to experience a true love story I will never forget.

This is a beautiful story about grief, loss, and finding the way back to life. From the moment we meet Elise, the depth of emotions she is feeling are palpable. Following along her journey through her grief, the ups, the downs, and the confusing moments are what truly make this book memorable. I was fully invested in her story and was amazed by her resilience, even in the face of the unknown.

There were a few moments when the author's style of writing pulled me out of the flow of the story, but overall I was engaged throughout, and would happily read more of Elise's story if there were more to tell.

I loved the way this book kept me guessing, I wasn’t sure what the twist was but every time I thought I figured it out something happened that took me in a different direction. I really like the variation of POV’s that was used by the author, it felt like I was in the book and moments with the characters. You could really feel the emotions and feelings of each of the characters.

Love.

Beautifully written with metaphors from here to heaven. I love the characters. The beginning will keep you on your toes and guessing. The author does an amazing job transporting you into the book and making you feel as though you are the main character experiencing everything with her. Hauntingly beautiful and a must read.

Haunting yet beautiful

A beautiful and haunting love story that grips the imagination. Time is fickle and flexible, blurring lines between past and present.
