His mentor and crew-mate, McDamnock TC is a tall well built Scott and a former champion of the highland games, who back in the day participated in the Tossing the caber competitions. Nowadays Mac will stand by his mantelpiece every day before work with a mug of McDamnock special brew tea in hand, admiring his five Tossers trophies and contemplating which manager he’d award a Tossers trophy to. The incidents Billy and Mac attend are a collection of the more ironic 999 calls that have actually occurred, but there is a serious side to this true tale as Billy finds out which leaves him questioning his career choice. The author is a Paramedic, with over thirteen years experience working for the Ambulance service. All characters in this story are fictional and apart from Mac and Billy, all are inspired by real people. The 999 incidents they attend in this tale are based on real 999 calls.
