Zoë really knows how to make her readers care about her characters. I know I would love to board the morning sun and get to know the crew!
She gives a good insight into the main characters head and makes us process the world she created through him perfectly. It’s clear that there was a lot of research done to make this world as detailed and accurate as possible.
His thought and emotions all feel very realistic, and we get to experience it all with him. When his world view is challenged and he wonders what’s right or wrong, so do we. And let’s be honest, I think we’re all a little in love with the love interest. (;
This book really made me feel all the emotions. I was giggling and kicking my feet at the romance throughout the whole book, but also on the verge of tears a couple of times. I was at the edge of my seat when I read through the action scenes, angry and frustrated at the injustice and I was genuinely surprised when a plot twist was revealed at the end.
All and all, I can’t believe that this is Zoë’s first published work! I would greatly recommend to give it a read, and I sure hope that there’s more to come!

There's a lot that this book simply does right. It has exceptional pacing that kept surprising me, without ever feeling that the surprises where unearned.
