It's harvest time in Wildflower Valley, and the Bryants are gathering in their bounty, getting ready for the long winter ahead, and helping their neighbors, too, as they face their own struggles. But there is plenty else in store for the family--who will take Bethany to the barn dance, and what about William?! Jack might finally get his dearest wish and a surprise visit from a Princeton friend has Abby seeing their homesteading life in a whole new way. As the leaves turn and the nights draw in, the Bryants must pull together to get ready for a new season in Wildflower Valley, with all its hopes and heartaches.
WHAT READERS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE WILDFLOWER VALLEY
"Heartwarming wonderful book!! Can’t wait for the next one to come out! Loved this one! Well written and so real!!"
"This story is great. It offers new perspectives and teenage behaviour with sensitivity and compassion. I look forward to the next story."
"I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this book! It has some new concepts for me. Am looking forward to the next book in the series."
Kate is the USA Today-bsetselling author of many books of both historical and contemporary fiction. Under the name Katharine Swartz, she is the author of the Tales from Goswell books, a series of time-slip novels set in the village of Goswell.
She likes to read women's fiction, mystery and thrillers, as well as historical novels. She particularly enjoys reading about well-drawn characters and avoids high-concept plots.
Having lived in both New York City and a tiny village on the windswept northwest coast of England, she now resides in a market town in Wales with her husband, five children, and two Golden Retrievers.
I seem impelled to keep reading each episode in this series the way I would binge watch a favourite show. The Bryant family left suburbia for a simpler life, but it is not an easier one and life can bring struggles wherever you are. Faith can help you hang on when the going gets tough. Money can still be an issue as Josh and Abby discover and accepting help can be hard, even when willingly given but it is still the life they want. The children are getting older and more independant. Young love brings ups and downs. I'm off to read book 5!
Bok 4 : Wildflower Valley Homesteading - a double-edged sword!
Abby, Josh and their four children have survived potentially devastating events - the last two the worst! Lightening sent half of a massive oak tree crashing across the equipment barn, demolishing it and their John Deer tractor. A community barn raising raised a new barn but the tractor and their financial concerns are surpassed when Josh has an accident making Amazon deliveries on Thanksgiving day for extra cash. Amid holiday company and a shocking revelation, Josh is about to receive three months of mandatory bed rest for a severe set of left leg compound fractures. Overworked and exhausted, although needed, this is not downtime Josh (or Abby) can afford.
Will finances and Josh's injury force the family to leave Wildflower Valley?
Gosh, this poor family has been CURSED! Seriously, I don’t know how much more they can take. Wildflower Valley neighbors pitch in to help, but our homesteading couple are not on the same page. And the eldest gets her head turned by a charming young man .
Another great read from the 4th book in this series, so looking forward to the next book coming out in February and the last one later in the year. All pre-ordered 📚
