They live by a strict hierarchy, but I’ll be their downfall…

On the night violence explodes into my life, I do the only thing I can—I run to the man who has stolen my heart.
Jack-the-blood McGrath, President of the fearsome Verona Falls Riders MC, and my best friend’s dad.
He’s too old for me, and seriously off limits, but when I turn up on his doorstep, shaking and alone, he lets me in and protects me.
And Jack’s not the only one. He has his men around
Ghost, silent but strong. Ace, gorgeous but kind of crazy. And Rook, the youngest of them all, trying to find his place, just like me.
They all vow to protect me from the chaos raining around me.
But it’s hard to fit in their chaotic, violent world, and they all look at me with a hunger that threatens to burn me up.
Yet, they aren’t the most dangerous ones in all of this.
I am.
Because ultimately it’s my secrets that might ruin us all.

Rubbish. Really badly written. The entire first half of this book, 50%, is just the five characters, the heroine and four bikers in the local MC she wants to eff, all thinking the same thing for their pov, that they want her/him. It's literally like each proceeding 10% is given to each of the 5 characters and their thoughts is simply that they want him/her but shouldn't on repeat. So it's basically all just the same 10% copied and pasted over and over five times.

As for the story, Camaile is 22, at college, where her Cartel boss father has sent her to get her out of the way until he marries her off for more power. You'd think he'd have done that at 18 if that's all he wanted but okay. She decides she wants to be a bit wild for a change because she's always been "such a good girl", quote from the book, so goes on a date with the new guy at school.

Turns out he's involved with the bad guys trying to kill her father and her family. He wants to fuck her first, she refuses, and somehow she magically manages to stop this guy, who's twice her size and has a gun, while in the same truck, because for some unknown reason he's unable to just lift his hand to grab her, despite being right there with her. So she manages to climb out the truck window, while he again somehow is so inept and incapable he can't even jump out of the truck himself.

Then, he's such a terrible shot that he misses shooting her at point blank range. Point blank range! So, she's able to get away from him, again, despite her having fallen out of the truck, hurting herself, she's able to get up, scramble away and run through the firest, on uneven and debris strun, soft soil, while wearing high heel shoes, by the way, all while he's still somehow unable to do the most basic task of simply getting out of his truck! Again, argh! The writing really is terrible and unbelievable.

He then continues to be a terrible shot and keeps missing her. So she's able to make it to a chain link fence, climb over it, and escape him completely by getting into the local motorcycle club, that just so happens to be run by her best friends father. She has always had a crush on him, and Jack, the Pres, wants her, despite being more than twenty years older, but refuses to take her because she's his daughter's bestie.

So, Camile starts wanting three of his other bikers, even when they're all assholes to her, and like I said, the entire first 50% of the book after this opening scene is just these 5 characters, the heroine and the four bikers she fancies, all thinking the same thing on repeat, how they want the other. This all also happens in just one to two days that she's at the MC, until Jack takes her back to her college.

The authors write the characters reacting in such ridiculous ways, like after the heroine's was almost raped and killed, it doesn't matter, because she's horny for the bikers. She learns her father has been killed but that doesn't matter, because she's horny for the bikers. She's told her mother and brother have almost been killed too, could be getting horrifically tortured at that very moment, but she doesn't care, she's so horny for the bikers she's having dirty dreams about them. Again, it's terrible stuff. Not good. 1 star.

This book had me giggling from the start, how this young slip of a girl has 4 strong men on their knees. It's had me hooked from the start, and then each of the characters sunk their claws in even deeper. Now that I've read this first one, I can't wait for the rest of the series. Also, I'll have to purchase the other 3 series, which cover each of Camile's best friends, because if this is anything to go by, those will be just as good.

Camile has a date with a new man on Campus, Ledger has recently enrolled, and she can't believe that it was her he asked out. But the date doesn't go too well, and she ends up at Vani's father's compound—the one place where her guilty secret is, the Prez.

Jack helps Camile, but knows he needs to stay away; she is too innocent, too pure for somewhere like the club. He knows he shouldn't think of his daughter's best friend the way he does. He fights it as much as he can, but the lure of Camile tests him constantly.

Rook, the rookie, is tasked with keeping Camile safe. He is around Camile's age, and they bond over the time they are together. He knows he has been told by his Prez that Camile's is off limits, but he just can't say no to her.

Ace is the road captain, and he likes the ladies. He has a soft side to him, in that he is always taking in strays. Camile comes onto Ace's radar immediately, and he is smitten. This new 'stray' has his full attention, and he will make sure that he gives her as much love and attention as she needs.

Ghost is the club's S-A-A. He makes sure everyone stays in line, as well as any external threats to the club. When Jack asks him to keep an eye on Camile, his focus becomes singular. Women don't tend to hold his attention, but Camile has him crossing so many lines that she becomes his new obsession.

The 4 strong men are like planets orbiting around Camile. She seduces them with her innocence, but also her sass. Has she 'daddy' issues??? Yes! And we'll hopefully see who gets that badge of honour. But has her interest in her friend's father crossed a line that can't be uncrossed? Will she lose her best friend forever if she finds out? Is she safe at the compound with all that is happening? We need the next book now, so I can find out!!!.

I have been waiting for this one! I LOVED the Verona Falls University series. I knew when we found out there would be a spinoff, it would be so amazing and it did not disappoint! The Rider’s Ruin is book one in the brand new Verona Falls Riders series by Marissa Farrar and SR Jones. It was my favorite mix of whychoose, delicious age gaps, four MC men and a mafia princess who deserves the world!

We met Camile previously. The sweet mafia princess, innocent, sheltered, always does what she is told but wants so much more for her life. She knows as soon as she graduates her father will immediately marry her off to someone she doesn't love. She has gotten to watch all her close friends fall deeply in love with their choice of men and she wants that! Enter these four DELICIOUS men! Jack, the prez of the MC. AND her best friend’s dad. They have fought this attraction since day one both out of guilt for her best friend and their age. Ace, the adorable, gorgeous, funny and crazy, lol, guy. Ghost, the silent, strong military man, damaged and hurt, averse to touch but is drawn to her. And Rook, the young rookie, trauma past and just trying to figure out who is. In a scary night of events, Camile ends up at the MC compound needing help and protection. These men feel a strong pull to Camile. She’s so much light and good to their dark. And did I mention she’s a vir$in? The chemistry and connection between them all, the angst and slow burn, it is so freaking strong! And the moments that are given into are pure fire! All I can say is the The Clubhouse scene, HOLY HELL!

I loved getting to see the characters from the past books. There is so much to unpack especially the relationship with Camile and her best friend when you add her dad in the mix.

This ends on a CRAZY cliffhanger. There are so many secrets, so much still to be revealed, danger, darkness and them all finally giving in and I CANNOT WAIT!! Please June hurry and get here. Read this book now! It’s so so good!

I absolutely loved this book and devoured it in 2 sittings (60% in one night staying up til 4am to finish it 🤣) if you’ve read any of the Verona falls university series’ you will already know what to expect from Marissa and Skye with this book and series, but oh my it passed my expectations, it has all that energy and the feeling of the devils, vipers and preachers trilogies but with the added growly, grumpy, older motorcycle club guys.

As a cartel princess, Camile, knows what her future holds - and arranged marriage to secure power & money for her family. When she decides to go on a date with a new guy at her uni she wasn’t expecting her life to change quite the way it does. After her date turns on her she escapes and runs into the local MC compound, which her best friends father is the president of, for protection. Jack is there to do what he can to protect her and keep her safe, but she also meets 3 other guys who she’s drawn to - ghost, ace & rook. All are drawn to her but what happens when trouble catches up to her and camile’s taken right from underneath them?

I was hooked throughout this book, the tension and push and pull between camile and all her guys, particularly Jack. He’s ott possessive but reluctant to act on his feelings out of his loyalty to his daughter. He warns all the guys off her, he’s mean to her and pushes her away as much as he can but he can’t push away his feelings towards her, but is it too late for him to make things right?

I definitely thought ace was going to be my favourite of the guys, he cheeky, funny, charming and a little unhinged/erratic (I mean he rescues animals 😍 and has a mama cat and her kittens hidden in the hayloft 😅) but each of the guys is so different and the way they are with camile is so sweet I can’t help but fall for them all!

This ends on a cliffhanger and it is going to be torture to wait for book 2 (only like 10/11 weeks at the time I’m writing this) but this is a fabulous first book in a new trilogy from Marissa and Skye!.

Started off really well, rapidly went downhill.

If I had known S R Jones was a co- author I wouldn’t have read this book. As I’ve read a few of hers now and while the plots are really good, human emotions and the way that people act isn’t one of her fortes. There are also a lot of mistakes as well. It ends on a cliff hanger and book two isn’t out till June.

Cami is the only daughter of a cartel boss, who has sent her to college till she’s married off. (Cami would have been married off at 18, not 22? I think she was 22.) Cami decides that she’s not giving her virginity to her future husband so she’s goes out in a date with a man from college who she has ZERO interest in but goes anyway. She knows nothing about him, and he’s a new student at the college full of mafia kids. Erm She’s from a cartel family and she’s dating a stranger? Who she knows NOTHING about! 🤔 When he attacks her she manages to escape and runs to the Mc that her friend Vani’s dad runs. Cami has always wanted Jack, and he wants her but has never acted on it as she’s his daughters friend. That’s fair enough, but Jack won’t let any of the men from the Mc go near her either and that’s not fair. Cami is locked away in a house ON HER OWN, after finding out her dad has been murdered and her mother and brother are in hiding! Yeah he’s a dick!! 😡😡😡 When Cami does things sexually with Ace, Jack calls her a sl*t and tells her she’s acting like a club sl*t!! 😡😡😡 While he’s constantly getting himself off fantasising about her. Ghost is exactly the same. He’s horrid to her as well and barely talks to her apart from to belittle her, but he watched her in her house while he gets himself off too!! THIS IS SO GROSS!! 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Meanwhile a ’heartbroken’ Cami is soon cheered up by having s*x with Rook and Ace. 😂😂😂😂 One minute she’s heartbroken the next she’s having a great time with the two of them. OH COME ON!!! See what I mean about the emotions are written terribly????

I had forgot about the the ‘danger’ that Cami is in as absolutely nothing happens till the very end! Then it ends on a cliff hanger. Oh joy!!!

I really want to know what happens now so I might read the second book.

A hot and heavy start, daughters’ best friend seeking sanctuary from killer date!
Camille Montez, that’s a surname that she does not banter around because of the association to the Mob in Mexico and it is essential that she continues to hope that her father continues looking for a husband to bring their mob families together.
Ledger a new student at the college has invited her out and she accepted, then she finds herself running for her life and being shot at, fortunately Ledger is not a very good shot. Running through the dark in heels and then climbing a chain fence into the Vernon Falls MC compound where she hopes that Jack the Blood McGrath can help her.
Just as the world seems to be settling a little, she receives terrible news from her family and then her best friend Ivani, daughter of the Jack the Blood McGrath has an argument because she is convinced there is a romantic connection between Camille and him.
Camille is beyond distraught and being on the compound had been trying at first but now she has made connections with Ace, Rook, Ghost and some of the Old Ladies and she is starting to feel safer and more settled until this happened.
The following morning when Jack calls at the house Camille has been staying in he finds the rear door of the house open, the bedroom is empty but all her possessions are still there and no one saw her leave. It is obvious that something sinister may have happened and now the club is on alert and everyone is searching for Camille.
This is a very captivating read, I cannot wait for the next book in the series which as usual has been beautifully written with the right balance of heat, sexual chemistry, humour and tension.
I guarantee that readers will find it hard to put this book down until they reach the end and discover what has happened to Camille.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Brilliantly dark start to an Verona Falls MC series

Being a cartel princess Camile knows she only has a few months left at the college before she'll have to go home to be married off by her father for an alliance. But before that happens she wants a bit of freedom and choice, but the only man she's really interested in is her best friend Vani's father, head of the MC club that have moved to Verona Falls since she moved in with her men (The Vipers, Zane, Saint and Lex).

One of the newer students, Ledger, offers to take her out, but when she starts feeling uncomfortable he turns on her and she has to run. When she finds herself at the MC compound she climbs in hoping for help, and is surprised when Jack gives her protection with the help of Ace, Rook and Ghost. Spending time with them she quickly realises her forbidden feelings for Jack aren't going, but she also finds herself drawn the other three as well.

Jack denies he wants her due to his daughter being her best friend, but can't help possessively growling whenever another man gets close to her.
Ace is fun and games, though if need be he can turn dangerous, a little crazy, and he loves rescuing lost things (like cats, rats and chinchillas).
Rook is still a prospect, the "Rookie", he offers friendship as he's sure she'll never be interested in him.
Ghost has a SEAL background and trauma in his past, he's Jack's sergeant-at-arms, works from the shadows and can't help keeping a close watch over Camile.

While they all promise to protect Camile from Ledger, it's not easy as they can't find him.

Verona Falls university is full of mafia families with secrets, dark steamy why choose forbidden romance (RH), banter, obsessive MMCs, age-gap, best friend's dad, spicy dark romance, suspense and plenty of twists - please do read the triggers. I couldn't put this book down (you do see members of the Devils, Vipers and Preachers) and with that cliff hanger I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Arc Review

This has been the most awaiting follow up after the Verona Falls series. We are still in relation to Verona Falls but on a slightly extended version.
Camille - 22 is still a student there and is also best friends to Varni & the other girls. The relevance of the Verona Falls University & the Verona Falls MC @ this stage is Varni, her dad the Prez of V.F.MC : Jack-the-blood & Camile.

Not going to spoil but is you have been reading the series, you are aware of the characters and all their escapades. We have slightly moved up here with the MC being involved.
Camile, still a virgin, going on a date that changed her life, brought forth further drama and loss. This has been a subtle entry so far as the storyline needs to be presented to fold you into their web.

Never fear, there is plenty of drama to keep you interested and wanting more. Don’t rush through the read, enjoy each page as this is only the beginning. Not left on a cliffhanger, but most certainly bread-crumbing into the next read.

A bonus addition is also added, so don’t miss out on this download.

A good start to a trilogy,

Rook is my favourite, he seems like a tortured soul and he and Camile speak to each other on a deeper level without saying much.

Ace is such a sweetheart and gives golden retriever energy but he has a darker side id like to see in the coming books. He rescues animals 😭 poor little marmalade and her kittens. He’s so kind and patient to them.

Ghost is the silent but deadly type but is basically stalking her, watching her through the CCTV in the house.

Jack needs to redeem himself in the coming books as I love the Daddy vibes he’s giving off but he’s too worried about whatever everyone else thinks about the age gap and Camile being his daughter, Vanis friend to give in to the sexual tension they have with each other.

“What happens at the hazing, stays at the hazing.” That had me howling with laughter, I hope there is some MM action with Rook and Ace as they have some sexual tension too.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The banter between the characters was good and I can’t wait to see what happens after the cliffhanger it was finished on.

🌶️
There was little spice scenes maybe 3/4 all together but this first book was more about setting the scene for the next ones. I hope the characters explore more of that in the next books.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I have been patiently waiting for THE RIDER’S RUIN to come out—I was not disappointed! Well, I take that back, I was a teeny, tiny, itzy, bitzy disappointed . . . In Jack. His whole I-won’t-let-myself-have-her-so-no one-else-can-touch-her would’ve drove me insane—he needs to make up for it . . .

I am addicted to Marissa Farrar and SR Jones’ writing. I have alerts set so I can be sure to be among the first to devour their newest releases. THE RIDER’S RUIN has drama, action, romance, steam, angst, and evolution. That cliff, though . . . Man, you better watch your step.

When this book was announced i knew it would be awesome and full of angst and i wasn’t disappointed.

My anger issues couldn’t (specifically with Jack) that man was insufferable at points, but i could also understand his reasonings.

And Vani i really wasn’t expecting that from her, actually i was but also girl! That was so not cool!

I absolutely adored Ace and Rook, and i need to know what exactly happened during the hazing, i have my suspicions but i need them confirmed!

Ghost, our voyeur if he could only keep his mouth shut (unless he was calling Camille a brat) he was great, though i expect we’ll learn more about him in the next books!

And lastly Camile our FMC, i loved her when i got to know her devil’s books and i knew she would be great. Her character was absolutely on point apart from her frustrating me trying to get to her family. For a mafia princess that part was so unrealistic. Like she should have know better than to put herself and her family at risk.

Ledger i hope you get brutally unalived soon! You shouldn’t have survived book 1, but okay.

This was such a gripping series opener! I didn't read the previous Verona Falls books but I had no trouble finding my way in this new spin-off. Camile, a sheltered mafia princess, goes on a date with a new guy from college and ends up running for her life....right into the arms of Jack, the prez of the Verona Falls MC and father of her bestie, Ivani. These two have been ignoring their chemistry and trying to resist their connection out of respect for Vani. However, Jack isn't willing to let her be anyone else's either ;) Ace, the road captain, Ghost, the enforcer, and Rook, the unpatched member are also circling Camile. However, danger is still after her and this story, despite the building heat, drama, humour and tension, ends on a wicked cliffy ;P I am dying to see how things continue to unfold for Camile and her four guys. It's going to be epic and I can't wait. Good fun!

Book 1 of a new trilogy within the Verona Falls series. Though the world and characters are interconnected, this trilogy can be read without having to go back and start all of the others.

This is such a fun series, and this book was such a great start to the new trilogy. I loved the set up its fast paced and had me hooked from beginning to end as we got to know Camile, Jack, Ghost, Ace, and Rook. I liked how she got to know each of the guys individually and how they each got all twisted up inside and so protective of her. I can tell this is going to be such a fun dynamic in the coming books.

The action and suspense, along with these sexy characters, had me eagerly turning pages. I need book 2 ASAP.

I hate reviewing trilogies as they come out 😂 while I may understand why choices were made in book 1 while reading book 2, it can cause me to leave an unfair review of the first book when I’m still all up in my feelings. That being said..

Yes motorcycle club
Yes an actual age gap
Yes why choose, give her all the men

You know falling for your best friends dad is going to cause some issues. Mainly when he’s part of a motorcycle gang. And you’re a mafia princess.

All I’m gonna say is, read it. Continue the series. I’ve read all of Verona Falls so far and have not been disappointed by the end of the 3rd book. Have I have rolled my eyes at characters throughout each series? Yes. Have I have wanted to choke out characters throughout each series? Also yes. But I’ve loved them all by the end.

We're back in the FANTASTIC Verona Falls University world with The Riders's Ruin, book 1 in the Verona Falls Rider's series and it's brilliant! This story brings us Camile, Ace, Jack, Ghost and Rook. These authors, as always, gives us this story spectacularly and absolutely made the wait so worth it. These characters and their journey are perfection. Camile is an innocent, sheltered mob princess, now that in itself should tell you a little about where this steamy story is headed. But, add in these 4 yummy bikers and what a show we get! Of course there's a cliffhanger and we'll have to wait for The Riders's And The Rebel to get more of this journey, but I have no doubt it'll be well worth the wait. Well done ladies!

The FMC goes out on a date, almost gets sexually assaulted, runs for her life and then spends the next 3 days thinking about sex. Even when she finds out her father dies, she thinks about sex.
That's her whole personality: poor little me, I'm just a pawn. Sex.

She is slut shamed, made to feel bad and controlled by the MC.

What a weak-ass FMC.

Nicknames for the FMC: Cami, Baby-girl, Princess.
Yes, baby girl is formatted that way by the author. How can someone write as much as these authors and they still don't grasp the basics of grammar and sentence structure?
PSA to the author: terms of endearment are not capitalized unless their placement in a sentence warrants it.
Correct: "Here, drink this dear."
Not correct: "Here, drink this Dear."

Mc club

This is the first book in the Verona Falls riders series and the author’s did not disappoint with this book. We meet Camille in the other series, so I wonder when we would get her book and boy is the story a worldwide of chaos. Camille is a girl who's know her future for a long time and has always been the good girl. The friend everyone comes to for advice. Until one night when everything changes.
Jack motorcycle club president and the guy you should stay away from. Then you throw Ghost 👻 and his mean attitude, Ace and his play boy ways and animal lover, and then Rook the prospect and him wanting to prove himself to everyone.
The ending does end with a cliffhanger hanger. So I can’t wait to see where this series goes.

Our Book Club pick this month and it was a fine enough read.

I struggled a bit with the reference to other characters that we know nothing about. It was written in a way that made me feel I’d missed 2 books before this one, snippets of details about 2 other poly relationships that sounded like books that had already been written.

The FMC takes a bit of getting used to and does her best friend. The MMC’s do make this book better - or at least Rook and Ace do.

There was a lot about this book that I felt didn’t totally work but I still couldn’t stop reading it. It also ends on a cliffhanger and as much as I know I have a million other books to read I will need to read to the next book.

Take from this what you will because I sure as s**t can’t explain it 🤣

Camile finds herself in a date from hell. Oh this book gets better, saved by Jack. The man she has a secret crush on. He knows he must stay away from her. As the Prez of the MC he tells the club to stay away from her.
Rook is tasked with keeping Camile safe and the two bond. Ace is the road captain, and he likes the ladies. Ghost is the club's sergeant in arms , keeping everyone line.
All four men fall for the Camile and her sass.
You will want to know what happens next. Loved the humour and how these strong men fall for the woman who has turned their heads.

The Riders' Ruin (Verona Falls Riders Book 1)

REVIEW
Camile, we have met throughout the stories within Verona Falls.
She has a very strict family, so she never got to have too much fun.
And now she has the HOTS for her best friend's dad, woohooo.

Jack is the prez of an MC, dad to Camile's best friend.
He wants the little minx as much as she wants him, but he has to think of his daughter Vani.

The story rocked my world! I love MC stories, but add in four HOT, HUNKY, motorcycle-riding bad boys, OH yeah, I am here for it, and I am ready for more!

Book 1 of the Verona Falls Riders series. And a FANtastic start it is! Look forward to more from this world.

'They all vow to protect me from the chaos raining around me.
But it’s hard to fit in their chaotic, violent world, and they all look at me with a hunger that threatens to burn me up.'

The characters were very complex and compelling and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and exciting and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

We're starting a new trilogy in the dark, why choose Verona Falls world, focusing here on Camille and her four men (Jack, Ghost, Ace and Rook).

Camile, almost twenty-three, has attracted the attention of four men - the Pres of Verona Falls Riders MC (and her best friend Vani’s dad), the club enforcer, the road captain and a rookie. They've all fallen for her and are willing to protect her. But first... a few things happen...

A dark and chaotic read with multiple POVs, friends and found family, age gap, and a developing why choose spice. Oh yeah, this is gonna be good!.

BEST FRIEND'S FATHER
REVERSE HAREM
MC CLUB

Another MC story from Marissa Farrar.

I gave it three stars, because I felt the story line was slow to develop. The club house scenes were predictable, and the FMC was quite... whiny.

I did like one of the MMCs internal monologue to follow his conscience and try to "do what's right"

It does end on a cliffhanger, which was sort of predictable as well.

Hopefully the next installment develops the story line.

When a date takes a dangerous turn, Camille heads to the only person she trusts for help, Jack, her dad's best friend. Jack is the President of the MC, and he's not alone when Camille shows up at his place, so things take some steamy why choose turns. This is a page turning, steamy read with well developed characters and a story that held me captive until the final page. The Riders' Ruin is book one of the Verona Falls Riders series, and after that cliffhanger ending, I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens next. I have been waiting for Camile's story and I am so happy to read it now!
You instantly get hooked into the story. She has a date from hell, ends up at her best friend's Dad's MC club where there more eye candy then she knows what to do with honestly. But everything is not going to be okay for our sweet Cammi. The characters are all addictive because I can't wait to find out more. The cliff hanger is there, so be warned and I seriously cannot wait to find out what happens next!

I really enjoyed this one and love anything from these authors. The story moves quite quickly and is definitely dark. Camille and Jack had some insane chemistry and there was plenty of spice between some of the other main characters and Camille. Of course we have a cliff hanger and i'm super excited to read more from all of these characters.

I can't recommend this book enough! I read this in one sitting. Hooked from the start. All the MMC's are my favorite at this point. I really need the other books now lol. Whoa boy that ending, was not expecting that. Also loved seeing the cameos of the characters from the other books. Two of my favorite authors to read! Highly recommend.

This story is filled with drama and had me connecting with Camille and her four bikers. Danger comes for her and the only place for safety is with her best friend's father. Their path begins and what a journey it is!
