Renaissance of a Boss: Notes from a Creative Reawakening - A celebrity memoir and hip-hop icon's blueprint for reinvention, creativity, and lasting success
I enjoyed the Audible version of this book. Ross has a voice I could listen to for hours and hours and hours. The talking in third person was a little insufferable though. The story was interesting. I was entertained. It was a unique perspective into a life. I will never know and he said a few things that sparked my interest that seemed a bit crazy to me and just reminded me I know nothing about the lives of the rich and famous, and we are on different planets. But while I was living my everyday life, it was a unique perspective into a window I wouldn't normally get a glimpse into.
Rick Ross, aka “Rozay”, is an icon. His music blends themes of drugs, hustlers, and money. There is, however, a philosophical side to the biggest boss in the game. A tame animal, hungry for more.
This book was all about creativity, something we all need to learn and know to be successful. Rozay mixes humor with real-world morals to create a story of the world and people around him.
Definitely recommend, talks about how to find your creative side in unique ways and stepping away to find yourself deep down. Listen to this as an audio book at work, was easy to listen to while working.
I never review books but I am the 3rd person to give this book stars on Goodreads so it felt rude not to. Rick Ross watches Groundhog Day, decides not to go on a hike, and then takes a road trip to get out a rut - relatable honestly.
Did I realize what I was getting in to? Nope. Am I glad I randomly listened to this? Yes. Did I know I needed to read about Rick Ross traveling across the country? Nope. Did I enjoy it thoroughly? Hell yes.
