One's steady. Another one's fire. She can't resist either, and this Christmas she doesn't need to choose.Three days. Two hockey players. One snowed-in Christmas.
Top-ten tennis star YANA LIPNITSKAJA isn’t looking for romance when she escapes to a cabin in Tahoe. But when a blizzard traps her with LOGAN REID and CAMDEN HAYES, best friends and professional hockey players, sparks fly like fireworks on New Year’s.
Logan is steady and dependable—everything Yana should want. Camdenis an infuriating bad boy and the man she can’t stop thinking about.
Together, they ignite a fire she never expected to burn. A fire none of them is willing to walk away from.
The storm may pass, but the choice she faces is even more dangerous. Unless, this Christmas, the three of them dare to believe they don’t have to choose at all.

Oh my heavens!!! Is there anything Ana cannot write?! The answer.....NOPE!!!
A Very Merry Match Point is Ana's first "Why Choose" book/novella and she fucking smashed it out of the park!! Honestly reading it, you would've never thought it was her first.
I can't even describe how much I LOVED her newest Holiday Novella. 12/10 5/5 however you wanna rate it, it's not enough! When I say I devoured it...like I sat and read it start to finish in a couple hours.
Ana does an amazing job balancing out our MMCs, while Logan is the calm, gentle, steady "Golden Boy", Camden is the prickly, bad boy, asshole "Wildfire". They are Yin and Yang, complimenting and bringing out the best in each other for Yana.
This was the perfect spicy holiday novella for the holidays! I had so much fun with this one. A holiday why choose romance?! Sign me up. This was full of tension, banter and spice. Everything you need.
Yana is a tennis star just looking for a quiet place to help her escape for a little bit and what is a better place than a cabin in Tahoe. What she didn't plan for is two professional hockey players who she just met before leaving to show up at her cabin. Logan & Camden were only planning on staying the night until a blizzard came through and snowed them all together in the cabin. I mean you see where this is going? YEAH, it gets spicy.
This was really fun to read and I really enjoyed it.
What to Expect: ❄️Snowed-in Cabin 💚Why Choose ❄️Holiday Romance 💚Hockey Players x Tennis Player ❄️Forced Proximity 💚Multi POV
A Very Merry Match Point is a steamy, feel-good holiday novella that delivers heat, heart, and holiday magic in equal measure. Snowed-in forced proximity, elite athletes, and a delicious why-choose setup make this an addictive Christmas read.
Yana is strong, confident, and completely captivating, while Logan’s steady devotion perfectly balances Camden’s sharp edges. Camden may come off abrasive at first, but his grief and vulnerability add surprising emotional depth—and watching Yana and Logan break down his walls is incredibly satisfying. The dynamic between all three feels intentional, affectionate, and refreshingly free of jealousy. Logan and Camden are unapologetically proud to be Yana’s boyfriends, focused on spoiling her with devotion, support, and passion.
Short, spicy, and emotionally rewarding, this novella proves you really can have it all—especially at Christmas. Perfect for readers who love heat with heart and a happily-ever-after that doesn’t require choosing. 🎄🔥
Thank you for the free ARC. This review is only my opinion. 🩷
This Christmas why choose novella was a great read! A Very Merry Christmas Match features Yana a tennis player and Logan and Camden, two best friends and hockey players. Their attraction was instant and since it is a novella the story moves fast. There is nothing better than a snowed in Christmas romance. I really enjoyed this one! I received a complementary copy from the author.
This Christmas novella was such a fun little escape. I absolutely loved the holiday vibes — the Christmas movie marathons, the cozy atmosphere, and especially the Eastern European holiday traditions that were mentioned. As a European girly myself, it was really interesting to read about and added something unique to the story.
Camden was hands down my favorite character. I loved his grumpy exterior paired with his soft, sensitive heart — that combination always gets me. And his nickname for Yana, “Red”? I LOVED it. He’s just genuinely cool and so easy to fall for. Logan, on the other hand, had a very calm and steady energy, which I liked, but he felt a bit pushy at the beginning. And I have to say… not a fan of his nickname “Queen” for Yana. Still, their differences made the dynamic so interesting and fun to read. Yana herself was such a sweet character. She’s been through a lot, and I loved seeing her let loose, have fun, and explore new sides of herself throughout the story.
The spice was GOOOOD but my favorite part was the whole snowed-in setting. The book didn't show us much of their sports careers but I don't mind as this is a novella. The shorter length was perfect for this story and worked so well for the pacing without dragging.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. The perfect little break between longer reads.
Like I always say, I'll read anything Anastasija White writes!
ׂ╰┈➤ I recommend this book to anyone who loves: holiday romance why choose SPICE tennis player x hockey players forced proximity snowed-in black cat x golden retriever x grump sharing is caring multi POV
THANK YOU TO: Anastasija White for sending me an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
This was my first time reading Anastasija White and I’m genuinely so thankful for the ARC she sent my way. I had such a good time with this one. A holiday why choose romance with competitive tension, flirty banter, and just the right amount of chaos? Yes, please.
Our FMC was such a standout. She’s confident, funny, and holds her own even when she’s surrounded by not one but two men who are absolutely determined to win her over. I loved her energy—she’s bold without being reckless, soft without being a pushover, and honestly just fun to root for.
And the MMCs? Total opposites in the best way. One brings the steady, protective warmth; the other brings that sharp, competitive spark that keeps everything deliciously tense. Together, they balance each other out and make the dynamic feel natural instead of overwhelming. The chemistry between all three of them was strong from the start, and the holiday backdrop made it even sweeter.
I really enjoyed watching them navigate their feelings, their jealousy, and their very different approaches to love. It never felt messy—just intentional, emotional, and surprisingly tender. By the end, I was fully invested in all three of them finding their version of happily ever after.
If you love festive romance with heat, humor, and a why-choose dynamic that actually works, this one is an easy recommendation.
This was a short and spicy, fun novella read. Camden, Logan, and Yana’s MFM dynamic had instant chemistry that really shown through in this book.
❤️Hockey players x tennis player ❤️Forced proximity ❤️Snowed in
When Logan and Camden pay Yana a surprise visit on her weekend alone, they don’t expect to get snowed in together. But it ends up being the best thing for them.
These three have chemistry for days. I loved Yana’s character and her bluntness. Logan is such a sweet cinnamon roll that I want to squeeze. And Camden had so many layers that I wanted to delve deeper into.
Ana. Never. Disappoints. and gosh did I enjoy this one!

I’m fully convinced she can write anything and I’d love it. Why choose isn’t my favourite trope and I don’t like the insta-love trope either but tell me why I ate this little novella up 😩 Started and finished in one sitting.
Yana is indeed a queen 🤭 and Camden and Logan are both so perfect for her. They weren’t kidding when they said they’re like Yin and Yang, they balance each other out so well.
I loved the cozy Christmas cabin vibes and the spice was spicing 🤭 and I loved that even with how short it was the hockey and tennis elements were still very present. Seeing Roman again is also a major plus 🤭
Another amazing book by Anastasija 🥹 Very excited for whatever comes out next by this lovely author I love so much! This is quite a short book but definitely very cozy (and spicy)! I loved the vibes and the main characters, as well as getting a little glimpse of other characters from her other books🥳 Though I must say, Camden was an ass in the beginning and I did want to slap him. All good though, he made up for it🤭
I would’ve rated this book 5 stars if it wasn’t for the end. When I read a why choose, I don’t want the FMC to only be with one of the MMCs publicly (or marry one of them) and hide her relationship with the other MMC(s). If Yana’s relationship with both Logan and Camden wasn’t hidden, I would’ve really enjoyed this book. It also felt like she had picked Logan out of the two of them by being with him publicly and then later marrying him.

I love a good why choose. But you have to pick both guys!!!
The fact that Logan was the only one she officially chose and Camden had to stay a secret other than their friends is messed up! She didn’t not pick she only chose Logan!

This is Ana’s first why choose, a spicy Christmas novella with three characters who completely won me over.
I can honestly say it was a great debut ❤️
Before starting the book, I was a bit hesitant because I knew it was an insta-love, and I usually love a good slow burn.
But right from the start, we’re swept away by Yana’s sharp tongue, Logan’s charm, and Camden’s teasing personality.
The three of them meet at a restaurant, and Logan is the first one to make a move to win Yana over 🤭
Yana is a professional tennis player and, while preparing for a tournament, she rents a cabin in the forest.
What she doesn’t expect is a visit from Logan, with whom she’s already been on a date, and Camden, his best friend and a hockey player too.
What was supposed to be just a one-night stay ends up lasting a few days due to a snowstorm that prevents Logan and Cam from leaving. And this leaves Camden furious… because he’s stuck being the third wheel 🤭
You can probably imagine what happens next, but not before plenty of teasing and intense exchanged glances. 🌝
The spice level was perfect, just the right amount, written in a careful and delicate way 🥰
I found this book really special ❤️ The female character is Slavic, so we get lots of cultural elements..the way Christmas is celebrated, the traditional dishes and desserts that honestly made me drool 🤤 It was really interesting...
But my favorite part was the Russian expressions sprinkled throughout the story, it felt like we had Anastasija keeping us company during the read 🖤
I really enjoyed this novella. As someone who loves why choose, I was genuinely surprised by how smoothly it blended into the intimate, cozy Christmas atmosphere, with traditions and character insecurities woven in...
It made me laugh, get emotional, and blush.. What more could I ask for? 🤭
Now I’m just waiting for a full-length book… but with that touch of angst that Ana usually gives us 🤭

“Add in the way his white shirt hugs the broad plane of his chest so perfectly, and it’s clear that he’s trouble.”
Oh my god, I need more of these three. One novella is not enough for how much I love these three. They are sweet, funny, and filthy.
And I can’t get over how excited I am to be back with the Thunders! As much as I love Ana’s other books the thunders boys will always be my favourites.
Yana is probably one of my favourite FMCs by Ana. She’s strong and knows what she wants. She doesn’t back down to anyone, especially not when Camden is rude, and she asks for exactly what she wants. She was a joy to read and I love how she knew Roman and Nevaeh, I squealed when Roman popped up. And she gets called Queen and Red and honestly the names couldn’t suit her more.
“I swear this man walked straight out of a surf ad. He’s all sun and waves.”
Logan is the total golden boy, which is exactly why that becomes his nickname. I love how he didn’t wait to shoot his shot with Yana he went for it and it paid off. And I love how he pulled a sneaky to go see her at the cabin. He’s the first of the boys to get with her but I love how calm he is when Camden wants Yana and Yana wants Camden. He’s so accepting of it and honestly it works with the whole golden boy persona.
Camden is the bad boy and honestly I was here for it. I love the way he got his a** handed to him by Yana. The way he pined after Yana whilst she was with Logan, how he tried to be respectful even though he wanted her just as much. And when he finally gets her sparks are flying!
I love how the boys are both opposites of each other. One calm and joyful the other chaos and hardness and she just sits in the middle perfectly balanced by them both.
And the spice! the spice in this book is just so delicious, honestly stunning. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟x10
“It was like my world clicked into place. Like that was exactly how it should’ve been from the start. Yana, Camden and me.”
I don't know what Anastasija puts in her stories but I swear I am obsessed with everything she writes. This may be one of my favourite Anastasija White books and I love them all.
Our fmc is Yana. I love her. She is just a straight shooter, tells it like it is, what you see is what you get person and I love that about her. She has been hurt in the past and due to that hurt it has derailed a couple of her plans but is determined to get back on track.
Our mmc's are Logan and Camden. Logan is instantly lovable. He is so sweet, charming and has golden retriever vibes. Camden is the more serious of these 2 but loves Logan like a brother and loves his team. He's just been through it and instead of facing it head on, he puts up walls but once you get to know him, he's actually so cool.
The plot was everything. To get herself together before her big Tennis matches coming up, Yana heads to a secluded cabin in the snowy woods to just enjoy her time alone and focus. The thing is, she didn't expect her potential new love interest and his best friend to head to the same place to surprise her. Things get rather interesting when it's obvious that Yana wants Camden and Logan is more than willing to share his new girlfriend with his bestie. I wonder what happens next....
I loved this story. Yana and her guys get their happy ending but it took a bit to get there but when they do, it's explosive. It was nice to see Roman pop in too, i miss him.
Thank you so much Anastasija and your amazing team for the opportunity to read this story and to be a part of your ARC team 🙏 I am forever grateful ♥️

I enjoyed this read, i do have mixed feelings about it especially because of the ending (I wish it ended a little bit differently) and at first I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it because Camden just seemed like a bit too much of a d***. But as the story went on we got to see why he acts the way he does which gave me a better understanding of him and the story.
The whole “Ying and Yang” type dynamic between Logan and Camden really worked and they always treated Yana so well. Where Logan was a golden retriever type, Camden was more broody but they complimented eachother perfectly.
It was Logan and Camden’s first time “sharing” a girl so there were some kinks to work out between them all and I thought I wouldn’t like the book as much as I did but with the healthy communication between them all it worked out pretty good.
I did love how everyone was open with their feelings and didn’t keep any secrets, Yana especially wasn’t afraid to say what she felt and I loved that. , also she wasn’t afraid to go after what she wanted as well.
And I really liked when they talked about their families and Christmas traditions together, it felt like a very wholesome moment for me.
The story flowed and the chapters were short (always a plus for me 😂)
This is the first book I’ve read from Anastasija, I have more on my shelf and will definitely be reading those in 2026.

A Very Merry Match Point by Anastasija White | 5⭐️
Ok Anastasija White! A Very Merry Match Point is exactly the kind of holiday novella I needed. I refuse to believe that this is her first novella AND her first why choose!
What happens when a spicy, bold tennis player meets not one, but TWO super hot hockey players and they all get snowed in at a cabin in Lake Tahoe together? Well, that would ruin the whole book now, wouldn’t it!! 😂
I loved getting to know our feisty fmc, Yana. She made me laugh so many times with her bold truth bombs and witty clap backs. She kept California Thunders’ players Logan and Camden on their toes at all times. I really enjoyed how opposite Logan and Camden are. Logan lives up to his Golden Boy nickname, he’s definitely the softer of the two. But I adored Camden because honestly, I love a moody mmc and he is just that.
AVMMP is such a fun and quick holiday read. If you want a book you can devour in one sitting with these tropes(⬇️), read this immediately!
❄️snowed in ❄️why choose ❄️forced proximity ❄️lots of spice ❄️“good boy”
If Ana writes it, I’m always going to read it, and this one had me hooked from the first page. A why choose with one grumpy menace and one golden boy? Snowed-in forced proximity.. Tennis x hockey.. Nicknames that do things to you.. Spice so hot it could melt the ice outside.. And Russian?! Yeah… I absolutely inhaled this novella and shamelessly went back for seconds.
The chemistry was unreal. The guys’ attitudes, the sharing, the tension, the way they all fit together. Ana nailed it. Of course, I fell hardest for Camden because I will forever choose the grumpy, broody grinch who pretends he doesn’t care but absolutely does. Logan was that golden, safe, steady presence, and somehow the combination just worked. Each guy brought something different, and together they were delicious.
Yana was exactly the kind of FMC I love. After everything she’d been through, she knew what she wanted and wasn’t about to apologize for chasing it. Confident, unapologetic, and fully aware of the effect she had on both of them.
My only complaint is that it ended too soon. I would happily read more, especially if it meant more sports, more tension, and more time with this trio. But for a quick, snowed in, forced proximity Christmas novella, this delivered heat, emotion, and filthy chemistry in all the right ways. I loved every second of it.
The last time I felt this frustrated was when Bella chose Edward over Jacob 😭 This book was a 2.75/5.
I REALLY wanted to like this book. I had never read a novel with the "why choose" trope before, but thanks to manhwa with reverse harems, I was already used to stories featuring multiple MMCs. And that's probably why I was so frustrated. In my opinion, the promise of the "why choose" trope isn't fully delivered.
Instead of a balanced romantic relationship between the protagonist and the two love interests, I felt like I was reading the story of a couple who had decided to include a third person in their relationship to spice things up... The displays of affection almost ALWAYS go in the same direction and are not distributed equally between the MC (although the narrative tries to convince us otherwise through the characters' internal monologues). The result ? Instead of a "why choose" romance, we have a disguised competition, where one of the characters constantly remains second best... 😭
What frustrates me even more is that all the other elements of the novella worked: the writing was fluid and enjoyable, the length perfect, the snowbound setting was interesting, the smut scenes didn't bother me... everything was there for it to work perfectly !
I will still give her other books a chance because this was her first "why Choose" romance and apart from the initial promise that wasn't truly kept, the rest was pretty good.
If your idea of a perfect Christmas read includes snowed-in cabins, elite athletes, and unapologetic why choose energy, A Very Merry Match Point absolutely delivers.
Yana Lipnitskaja is a top-ten tennis star looking for quiet, not chaos, when she escapes to a cabin in Tahoe. What she gets instead? A blizzard… and two professional hockey players who turn her peaceful retreat into something electric.
Logan Reid is calm, steady, and grounding — the kind of man who makes you feel safe just by standing near him. Camden Hayes is pure fire: reckless, magnetic, and impossible to ignore. Best friends. Total opposites. And somehow, both exactly what Yana needs.
Snowed in with nowhere to go, the chemistry ignites fast, hot, and completely uncontained. What starts as a holiday escape turns into something deeper — a connection none of them are ready to give up. And this Christmas? No one wants to choose.
Short, steamy, festive, and indulgent, this novella is the perfect holiday palate cleanser when you want heat, heart, and zero guilt. 🔥❄️
Tropes: * Why choose / no choosing required * Snowed-in cabin * Holiday romance (Christmas vibes) * Hockey players x tennis star * Best friends * Steady hero x bad boy energy * Forced proximity
This follows Yana, Logan and Camden as they find themselves snowed in together at a cabin during the holidays. What starts as an unexpected situation becomes something more complicated as the chemistry between all three of them becomes impossible to ignore.
The author delivers a cozy, festive setting that’s perfect for the holidays. The snowed-in cabin vibes are exactly what you want in a winter romance: warm, intimate and atmospheric. The chemistry between Yana, Logan and Camden is palpable. White does a nice job showing the dynamic between all three characters and how they fit together.
This story only scratches the surface of the deeper emotions at play, particularly when it comes to Camden. I wanted to understand his struggles and feelings more fully, to really get inside his head. The same goes for the other two; there was so much potential for emotional depth that never quite materialized. I craved more complexity and development. That said, this is a novella, so the lack of depth makes sense given the format. There simply isn’t enough page time to fully explore all three characters and their emotional journeys.
If you’re looking for a quick, cozy holiday read with a poly dynamic and snowed-in vibes, this delivers.
This was such a spicy morsel of a novella! Anastasija did a good job with setting up the location and the dilemma that brings Logan, Yana, and Camden closer together.
I liked the characters, but I really wanted to see more of Camden. There was something about him I wanted to know about. Plus, I felt that although Yana had a strong attraction to Logan, she has a stronger connection with Camden, therefore, I wanted to see more of them together.
I enjoyed seeing Roman in this book. I loved him in Breakaway, so for Anastasija to create a female version of him was great. I love the banter between the two of them, and enjoyed reading their scenes in their language.
As much as I loved these three together, my question was— were they? Yana, for me had a stronger attraction to Camden, but moved closer to Logan because he made his move, and while she says she wanted them both, she was more dedicated in keeping Logan as the primary boyfriend when it came to her life in the eyes of her fans and the public. I felt as if although they were all together, they truly aren’t because Yana wants to keep the fact that she’s in a relationship with two men a secret from all but a few friends.
Ana, you killed this!! This is Ana’s first, why choose, and WOW! I loved the way we had a golden retriever and a black cat energy from the men. I loved how Logan falls head over heels with her, and that relationship was adorable. And Camden, he’s the bad boy, the asshole who pissed Yana off when they first met, but once they connected, the sparks flew. I loved the insta love with one and the enemies-to-lovers with the other; it really balanced each other out. And Yana, I loved her; she is strong and confident and trying to get her head in the game after a terrible break-up that she blames herself for. But these three together were hot, and I loved the moments they had when they were vulnerable . I loved how proud they are to be Yana’s boys. Also, I loved seeing my boy Roman!! I loved the friendship he has with Yana, and that Roman is happy with his girls!! I cried when he showed up in the book!! Also, the way her tells her to just be happy was adorable. If you want a short, spicy book that will tear your heart out but also make you roll on the floor laughing, this book is for you. You can read this book on Kindle Unlimited!
❤️🏒🎾Thank you so much for the ARC! This review is my opinion 🎾🏒❤️
🔥 🔥 Short, spicy, and absolutely irresistible — this holiday romance delivered EVERYTHING I wanted and more. If you love insta‑love done right, this one nails it. From the very first moment these three lock eyes, the chemistry is explosive. Throw in one secluded cabin and one perfectly timed snowstorm, and you’ve got the ultimate winter fantasy.
I adored all three characters. ✨ Our FMC knows exactly what she wants — and she goes for it. ✨ Logan is the sweetest golden‑retriever MMC, all warmth and devotion. ✨ Camden is the broody bad boy who pretends he doesn’t care… but absolutely does.
Together? They’re magic. The dynamic is addictive, the banter hits, and the spice is chef’s kiss — delicious, steamy, and so well balanced.
My only tiny personal wish (and it doesn’t take away from how much I loved this book) is that she didn’t get to marry both of them. Camden deserved that husband title right next to Logan. But that’s just me being greedy for more.
If you’re a sports romance lover who wants something fun, hot, and heart‑melting for the holidays, this book is a must‑read. Beautiful, funny, spicy — the perfect cozy‑season treat.
Yana has been off her game ever since her ex cheated on her. But one night she meets Camden and Logan. But professional hockey players and best friends. She has an instant connection with both of them. When they show up at her getaway over Christmas things take an unexpected turn.
A Very Merry Match Point is a novella by Anastasija White and since it’s a novella it’s a quick but entertaining read.
I loved how from the first encounter the spark fly between Yana, Camden and Logan. The dynamic between these three is incredible and I liked how different they all are yet fit together so seamlessly. There is a bit of suspense but since the story is a novella and therefore short it’s not a lot that’s happening. But I think Anastasija packed as much in this story as possible without it being too much too fast to too little taking too long. Since it’s a why choose trope paired with forced proximity it’s not only a cute love story but also a spicy story. 🌶 I liked all of the characters a lot even though I have to admit, that Camden is my favorite.
If you’re looking for a cute, spicy and quick Christmas read this is a prefect book for you.
I’m not surprised in the slightest because I love anything Ana writes but I adored this. It was short and sweet but read like a full length novel because it had so much in it.
I loved that Ana used Yana’s first language often it made the book feel so much more authentic and connected to the story. I’m also grateful for the footnotes attached to the sentences so I could understand without having to look for translations.
I loved all of our main characters here but I have a super soft spot for sad men so Camden took a piece of my heart. He just needed some love and some family and he’s a much happier version of himself 🥺
As an Anastasjia fan already I went into this super excited. I was looking forward to reading her very first why chose and the fact it was a Christmas novella made it so much more fun. If you read her you know she always pulls off great angst and the spice is always there. Having this be a novella with a. Little bit of insta love, this was a first for her and I think she nailed it perfectly. It has all the things a great spicy novella needs and even though it more on the insta love it still had Ana’s stamp on it.
I don’t really gravitate to novellas a lot and it’s mostly cause I always seem to want more or feel the story is rushed but this wasn’t like that at all. Yes I wanted more but only cause I kinda fell hard for these character’s so much. The length and flow of how it all came together just worked for me and the three of these characters fit together perfectly. It’s a binge I. A sitting kinda holiday read and I personally would love to see what Ana could do with a full length why choose poly type romance in the future.
