Redeemed: A Second Chance, Forced Proximity Romance

Lucas Cross is back on my ranch, and I want him gone.

He walked away eight years ago without a backward glance—chose a football scholarship over me, over us, and left me to pick up the pieces alone. I rebuilt myself. Became the person holding this ranch together while everyone else fell apart. I don't need him. I don't want him.

Except Dad hired him. So now Lucas is everywhere—those blue eyes watching me, that cocky grin making my blood boil, all that muscle straining against his shirt while he pretends he knows what he's doing. He acts like we're old friends. Like he didn't rip my heart out and stomp on it.

I should ignore him. Focus on my work, my plans to finally leave this place and build something of my own. But every time he gets close, every time his voice drops low and he looks at me like I'm the only thing that matters, I remember exactly why I fell for him in the first place.

I can't do this again. I won't survive losing him twice.

But God, I want to let him try.

Jenny was out of the ranch for a month she wanted a little vacation and went to California, when she went back to the Ranch Mary her dad’s wife was welcoming her.
Jenny asked how things going at the Ranch and Mary tells her that they hired a guy since Al’s gone.
While they’re were talking she noticed her dad and brother talking with a broad shoulders guy and blonde , he was no one else than Lucas a linebacker of her highschool and ex boyfriend.
He left her to chase his football scholarship and shattered her heart because he tells her the weekend he was leaving.
Lucas had injured his leg and went back to his hometown, his dad died and he wanted to do something to live,Everett offered him a job at the ranch and he was happy because his dad spent most of his life there.
When he met Jenny she didn’t welcomed him she was angry every time he goes near her she was upset , one day Everett asked him to take one of his mares to a client in Bozeman , he couldn’t get him to the carriage and when she saw that he needed a hand she went with him.
After arriving and settling in a hotel, she went to meet a friend to take a drink , after arriving drunk at the hotel he was outside managing something on the truck, when he saw the guy’s hand on her he can’t not go to defend her but for the second time he fucked up because he punched her bests friend .
After talking and excusing with her friend he found her sitting outside her room, she tells him that the card isn’t working and he offered his bed.

Another amazing story that I really enjoyed.

This is everything I want in a second chance romance. It was emotional, honest, and impossible to put down. From the moment Lucas Cross steps back onto Jenny’s ranch, the story is thick with unresolved pain and a love that never truly faded.

Jenny is strong, capable, and scarred by the choices Lucas made years ago. While everyone else fell apart around her, she held the ranch together, rebuilt herself, and tried to get over Lucas. Her anger and fear make sense, and the way she fights her feelings for Lucas feels painful. This isn’t a story where forgiveness comes easily.

Lucas, on the other hand, comes back humbled and broken. His football career is over, his dreams shattered, his family lost, and his biggest regret standing right in front of him. He doesn’t demand forgiveness or pretend the past didn’t happen. Watching him try to earn back Jenny’s trust was emotional.

This book isn’t just about romance. It’s about growth, forgiveness, and choosing love even when it’s terrifying. Redeemed is a beautiful reminder that sometimes love doesn’t end...it waits.

I received this ARC via Booksprout. This is my honest review.

This is a second-chance romance for Lucas and Jenny unless they mess this up, too. His father's death brought him back to the Black Spruce Ranch. Lucas didn't know if coming back was actually for the best. As far as Jenny was concerned, it was the worst. If the two of them ever learn to communicate with each other by actually talking openly and honestly with each other about the past and the present, then they might have a chance at a future.

He broke her heart when he took the scholarship breaking their promise to each other leaving behind a devastated woman. Now he is back after a career ending injury with his heart in his hands. Will Jenny forgive the man who lost everything even before he left and get a chance to rekindle the love they once shared. This heartfelt story had me connecting with Lucas and Jenny.

EPIC romance book. Jenny and Lucas have a TIMELESS love with second chances. This is the best love story, and I think Leah wrote a FABULOUS book. I found myself pacing at times while reading this book because I didn't know if Jenny and Lucas could make things work and find their HEA.

I just can't with this.

Its too much enemies for me. The name calling still at 50 percent of the book.. just no. They didn't even seem to really like eachother by the end of the book. They said they did but the book didn't show it.
