The Silent Gene: A New Theory of Evolution

Rate this book
Offers a thought-provoking theory of evolution that represents an alternative to Darwin's natural selection approach and that is based on the discovery by the Human Genome project of so-called "junk genes" that have no identifiable purpose, proposing that these silent genes may be the real driving force behind evolution by allowing natural selection to work. 15,000 first printing.

Very interesting. The writer takes the proper time, and uses the proper language, to explain complex ideas to a layperson such as myself.
