Another wonderful novella from Fellside by Dani Elias! The story continues with Christina and Phil but brings with it a whole host of emotions. Christina is sassy and unfortunately suffers from people not accepting her race. Phil is so shy she nicknames him “Bambi”. Phil is afraid to be seen while Christina can’t help but be the center of attention. They are the epitome of opposites attract. And the way they come together is rough around the edges but so worth it in the end. Christina and Phil find strength in each other and overcome for their HEA!

This author is becoming one of my favorite to read from her story always seem to touch my heart. I love this book because it was friend to lovers trope and I love the dynamic between these two is so cute and funny. I love how he run away every time she come around or get shy around her it so cute because he has feeling for her and he doesn’t know how to act on them at all. I love that she push his buttons. I love the whole got giving up because of the event that took place in this story. I love the ending and the bonus scene that we got to read.

This book was short and sweet but with emotional undertones throughout.
I loved both Main characters and seeing Alex and Emma again.
Both MCs having issues with trust/panic was a nice touch.
I didn't expect the race storyline to be so hard hitting in this short book. It really hit me emotionally as it was so well written.
I'm excited to read Nick & Charlotte's book

This was a great strut about Chris and Phil. He’s the quiet and shy kind of guy, and Chris is the outspoken presence around everyone. Complete opposites but so perfect for one another. I really enjoyed reading about these two. It was a really sweet story that touched my heart. Such a wonderful story.

I loved this story! I really love the relationship between Phil and Christina. He is on the reserved side and does not like to be the center of attention. She has a naturally charismatic personality, thus she attracts attention without even trying.
I also made a connection to Phil in understanding more about racism and the way it shows up in lives. He was naive in his understanding of racism, like he knows about it but does not fully understand what others go through.
I cannot wait for the next story and to get to know more characters from this group.

I loved this second book in the Fellside series. Bambi’s story is so sweet and when he finally thaws for Christina its heartwarming! Can’t wait for Nick’s story!

Oh I loved this one so much. Phil is such s beautiful soul but so afraid to make a mistake or screw things up. Christina is a care free soul who just wanted to do something she loved and not follow what her mom thought she needed to do. These two meet because of their friends Emma and Alex who we have already met. But life had other plans for them and I am glad they got what they both deserve. A rescue workers, a flower shop girl, what a wonderful pair♡

Each story has been filled with sweet romance, strong characters, and a love that is deep and real. Braver Together is book 2 and I loved it from start to finish. If you’ve read this series when it was under the name Fellside Mountain Rescue, I highly encourage you to read the re-releases. Dani has put so much effort into bringing us the same heartfelt stories, but with deeper characters, more romance, and tension that you can feel.
Christina is bold, unapologetically herself, and full of confidence. She knows very well what she brings to the table and is proud of it. So when the town’s quiet man catches her eye, everyone is surprised. However, opposites attract and us loud girlies need the quiet man, who is rock solid and sound in our corner. But as they get to know each other more, she notices certain behaviors that make her doubt herself and his feelings for her.
Phil may be quiet, but he is observant. He sees everything that is beautiful about Christina and is shocked that she seems interested in him. He is the perfect man for Christina, bringing a calm to her life that is needed. He is a strong presence that is misunderstood due to being more introverted. He reminds me a lot of my husband actually. My husband is my rock! I loved watching him be everything for Christina.
Dani’s writing in this story is breathtaking. There is a quiet about this book that grabs a hold of you early, but still surprises you in the end. This romance focuses more on the quiet moments that truly solidify a relationship. Love isn’t always loud, most of the time it’s quiet, reassuring from the background, and providing roots to let something amazing grow. Through vulnerability, trust, and open communication, our couple truly experiences love in the best way.

Being back in Fellside felt like slipping into a world that already knows your favourite drink order… immediate comfort, no adjustment period required. This was very much an “I’ll just read one chapter” situation that turned into an entire afternoon disappearing without permission.
“Bambi” Phil… yes, that Phil… had me in a constant state of fond exasperation. Watching him wrestle with his shyness while Christina essentially kicks the door down and declares her intentions was equal parts hilarious and painfully relatable. There were moments I was genuinely chuckling, immediately followed by having to hide behind my hand from second-hand embarrassment, and then somehow softening into those quieter scenes where you just sit with them and feel everything settle.
Phil’s journey really stood out. His struggles, especially around alcohol, were handled in a way that balanced humour with something much more uncomfortable and real. That date scene… I laughed, but also winced… deeply. Seeing him grow into himself, finding confidence and a sense of identity, made those moments land even harder. And that piano scene? With her singing? I am not made of stone, unfortunately.
Christina is, quite simply, a force of nature. A one-woman hurricane who refuses to be anything other than unapologetically herself… but underneath all that power, there’s this soft, almost marshmallow-like core. She believes in people so fiercely, sometimes more than they believe in themselves, and I absolutely have a soft spot for her because of it.
This novella packs a lot into a small space. It’s emotional, funny, occasionally uncomfortable in the best way, and a lovely continuation of the Fellside saga. That said, definitely check the trigger warnings beforehand, as some themes may not be for everyone.
Overall… a heartfelt, character-driven return that reminded me exactly why I wanted to come back to Fellside in the first place.

Braver Together is the second book in Elias' Together Forever in Fellside series. This contemporary romance features Christina and Phil. Readers of the first book may recall meeting these two characters in the first book. The books, while interconnected, can be appreciated on their own.
Christina, a woman of mixed race, is beautiful and bold. She doesn't make any apology for who she is. She has presence and makes herself known whenever she walks into a room. It may then be somewhat surprising that it is the quiet and reserved Phil who catches her eye. She adorably refers to him as "Bambi" as he spooks easily. That does not dissuade her though. She sees the kind, gentle and thoughtful man hiding behind his exceeding shy demeanor.
Determined to get to know Phil, she persists in showing up and slowing cracking his shell. She is shocked but delighted when he finally asks her out. She likes Phil but when he seems to pull away whenever they're in public, she starts to have concerns that he may be embarrassed to be with her.
I've said it before but I'll say it again... I'm a huge fan of Elias' work. Her writing style and characters never fail to capture my attention and my heart. I could relate to Phil's quiet nature and discomfort with being the focus of attention. I also found Christina's doubts and concerns about being different, relatable.
I enjoyed watching (reading) these two characters get together, address the "elephant in the room" head on, and maintain open lines of communication. It took them a minute to sync but once they did, their relationship was a beautiful and loving melody.

I absolutely fell for Alex and Emma in the previous book, but Phil and Christina have officially taken the #1 spot for me in this series. Their story just hit differently, and I found myself completely invested in their dynamic from the start.
What I loved most about them is how perfectly they balance each other. Phil’s quieter, more reserved nature contrasts so well with Christina’s louder, more vibrant personality. Where Phil is calm and steady, Christina brings the energy and boldness, and together they create this beautiful balance that just works. It never felt forced—just two people whose personalities naturally complement one another.
Watching their relationship develop was such a joy. There’s something really special about seeing two characters who seem so different at first slowly find their rhythm together. The way they challenge each other, support each other, and ultimately grow together made their journey feel meaningful and genuine.

Braver Together is a beautiful opposites-attract romance that balances softness and strength in a way that feels incredibly real. Phil is the kind of hero you don’t always see—quiet, unsure, and more comfortable in the background—but watching him fall for Christina and slowly step into himself was everything.
Christina is the perfect contrast to him. She’s bold, confident, and refuses to make herself smaller for anyone, and I loved how unapologetically she took up space. The way she sees Phil—really sees him—was one of my favorite parts of the story.
What makes this book stand out is how it handles vulnerability. Phil isn’t “fixed” overnight. His struggles with confidence, especially in public and in the face of judgment, felt honest and grounded. Being back in Fellside just feels like instant comfort, and this story was such a soft, emotional read that I finished WAYYY too quickly lol!
Christina and Phil were everything. I loved the opposites attract dynamic here. Christina is bold, confident, and completely unapologetic, while Phil is so shy, quiet, and unsure of himself. But the way they balance each other was so beautiful. She pushes him out of his shell, and he gives her this steady, grounding kind of love that just felt so real.
Phil really stood out to me. He is not your typical MMC, and I loved that. Watching him navigate his insecurities and slowly grow into himself made his character feel so genuine. Some of his moments had me laughing, others had me feeling so deeply for him. And the way he shows up for Christina, even when it is hard, just made me love him more.
Christina is such a force, but I also loved seeing the softer side of her. She believes so fiercely in the people she loves, sometimes even more than they believe in themselves, and that really hit.

This was a one evening read (Amazon says different number of pages but my ARC copy had 114 pages, bookfunnel says 31k words)
It’s a novella so obviously everything happens quite quickly, it’s a given, but somehow Dani always manages to develop the story in a way that doesn’t feel forced or TOO fast.
I was excited for Christina and Phil’s story after reading Healing Together. I liked the first book of this series, but Braver Together is more up my alley.
Phil is not exactly your usual MMC cause he’s next level shy, and Christina is the complete opposite.
Their story was super soft and tender and just making me warm inside. I highly enjoyed this story and loved the development. It’s a bit insta love but at the same time it’s not. The attraction was instant and happened in book 1 of this series but it took months of Christina teasing Phil and calling him Bambi till something happened ;).
Pick up this book if you want a heartwarming quick read but there are couple trigger warnings: alcohol consumption, racism and on page fight.
The racism part and the fight broke my heart.
Overall this book is pretty lighthearted but there are couple scenes that can be hard to stomach.

Braver Together, book two in the Together Forever in Fellside series, written by Dani Elias. This is my second book by this author. When I discovered this series is about bringing together characters in their 40s, I was on board. It is hard to find a good series with characters my age.
This book follows Phil and Christina. When I read book one, I wanted this story so much! Phil is on the quieter, more reserved side, whereas Christina’s bold and playful personality balances each other beautifully. Every introvert needs an extrovert in their life! Lol.
Braver Together is one of those romances that quietly sneaks up on you. What begins as a story about two people navigating life and love slowly unfolds into something deeper. This book follows Phil and Christina. When I read book one, I wanted this story so much! Phil is on the quieter, more reserved side, whereas Christina’s bold and playful personality balances each other beautifully. Every introvert needs an extrovert in their life! Lol.
Braver Together is one of those romances that quietly sneaks up on you. What begins as a story about two people navigating life and love slowly unfolds into something deeper. Book two in Dani Elias’ Together Forever in Fellside series follows Christina and Phil, as these two opposites find themselves drawn to one another. We met them in book one, Together Forever, and I was so excited to get their story! I just knew it would be something special.
Christina is a firecracker and Phil would rather blend into the background. I loved that Christina is proud of who she is and makes no excuses for it. She is bold, beautiful and persistent. She knows what she wants (and who she wants) and overall is a character that I found myself cheering for. Phil is reserved and doesn’t know what to make of Christina, he is shy and likes to avoid any attention. I loved how confused and unsure he was around her and her consistency and determination in trying to figure him out.
I loved these two together. They are the perfect compliment to one another, and I appreciated how Christina navigated her disappointment, fears and anger at Phil’s actions. Phil stood his ground and found his confidence and voice when it mattered most. These characters are very much adults, which is refreshing when so many books these days involve such young characters.
I’m enjoying exploring Fellside and look forward to the next couple.

I’m really liking these Fellside novellas. They’re quick reads, but they still manage to cover some deeper topics in a thoughtful way and have really sweet romance. Please be sure to check the TWs before you jump into this one.
Phil is such a different kind of MMC and I loved that about him. He’s extremely shy and uncomfortable being the center of attention. Even people looking at him or trying to talk to him makes him want to disappear. I could completely relate to him, so I found myself rooting for him the whole time. Christina is basically his total opposite. She’s bright, confident, and full of energy, but she also has her own insecurities about how people see her. I liked that the story acknowledged her hardships and showed how strong she is.
What I loved most is how well they balance each other out. Christina helps Phil step outside his comfort zone, and Phil shows just how supportive and protective he can be when it matters. This was such a sweet read and I really enjoyed their story. I’m definitely loving my time back in Fellside.

I love Christina so much! She's the kind of girl everyone wants to be with or around. She's full of confidence and not in a cocky way. She's fun and flirty, but overall she is comfortable with who she is. She's also not going to let someone else's negativity bring her down. Naturally, when Phil and Alex walk into the flower shop her and best friend, Emma, owns, Christina is attracted to Phil and in the funnest, sweetest way flirts with him. Poor Phil is so shy that he's like a deer in headlights earning him the nickname Bambi.
Christina doesn't let that stop her and she flirts with him occasionally until Phil gets some courage and asks her out. A few awkward moments and a disastrous first date, Christina is still around. Patient and incredibly supportive. They bond over music and grow closer. When they encounter a racial incident, community and friends stands up for them. I have read some where it can be heavily used to make a point, but Dani did it lightly and yet the point made was powerful and tasteful for a sensitive topic.

Braver Together is book 2 of Fellside and follows Christina and Phil, aka Bambi (go read the first book to get the reference 😉). It was a great opposites attract romance where the characters absolutely balance each other out. Phil is quiet, introverted, comfortable in the background, and has no idea how to act on the feelings he has for Christina. Then there’s Christina, who is a people person, outgoing, loud, bold, aka the exact opposite.
I loved how Christina got to see a side of Phil the rest of the world didn’t. I also loved seeing Phil become braver on his own and discover himself. It was a short read, but Phil’s struggles weren’t healed or fixed in 3 pages. It was a slow progression which was nice to see a short story not be rushed.
I loved seeing the vulnerability, the natural humor and chemistry, and the subtlety of their relationship. I loved seeing them not shy away from each other when things got tough. It was real and raw and beautiful.

These two people, at first sight, don't seem to be right for each other. She is outgoing and bigger than life while he is quiet and quite happy to blend into the scenery.
What Dani has given us is a beautifully blended story showing how differences can in fact be the exact thing that a person needs in a life partner. Understanding and accepting those differences can open up worlds of possibilities.
Going into Dani's book, I know that I am going to be swept away with the story and the characters.
And again, this story was of novella length but it didn't feel rushed. You still got to know these characters deeply. Deeply enough to care what happens to them. To cheer at the happy and gasp at the bad. Thank you Dani, I look forward to reading more about the men & women of Fellside. Another 4 star read.

Cozy Romance With a Powerful Punch
Besties… I am SO happy to be back in Fellside because in "Braver Together" ? 🤎 Pure cozy romance perfection with a side of emotional depth that hits. Christina had my attention back in Book 1, but getting her full story with Phil? I was giggling, kicking my feet, and then suddenly clutching my chest like “wait… why am I emotional right now?!”
Phil being all shy, nervous, and awkward on their date had me MELTING... there is just something about a soft, unsure man trying his best that is ridiculously attractive. And that piano + singing scene?! Goosebumps. Actual goosebumps. That moment sealed Phil’s place in my heart forever. 😍
But what really made this story stand out was the deeper layer. Christina’s struggles and doubts... especially around identity and being in an interracial relationship... felt real and personal. As someone who relates, I appreciated how respectfully and honestly it was handled. It added so much weight to their love story.🥰
And that bonus epilogue?! Besties… E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.

Sweet shy Phil! We return to Fellside for book 2 in the Together Forever in Fellside series, a standalone with interconnected characters, each book following one of the Fellside Mountain Rescue team. We meet Phil (Alex’s best friend) and Christina (Emma’s best friend) in book 1. They are total opposites, Christina is loud and confident to Phil’s shy and introverted ways, but that didn’t stop the attraction between them. First date was hilarious, I can totally imagine Phil in real life just like that! This book touches on harder topics too, but it’s well written and handled just right - loved how protective Phil was, rightly so. A beautiful quick read and such a joy to be back with the crew at Fellside.

Just finished my ARC of Bracer Together by Dani Elais it follows Christina and Phil. Christina loud bubbly personality Phil the exact opposite. He prefers to stay hidden and someone try’s to get to know him he kinda runs away. Well this couple was introduced in Healing Together but it was more of their few meetings together but are heavily mentioned as they are the best friends of that book couple. So how can 2 people this polar opposite people actually get together? Can they make it work with one being kinda socially awkward and the other extremely outgoing? I did like this book but I did feel like it was very similar to Healing together not in story line but in overall feel of the book. I wish it gave some background of why Phil was so shy or if he was always like that. But it was a good read super fast but it didn’t feel rushed to me.
