“A moving series about coming home, uncovering painful truths, and rediscovering the people—and the place—that truly matter.”
All Roads Lead to Michigan is the fifth book in the Wynn Harbor Inn series, an inspirational series…an emotional journey about second chances, weaving together the bonds of family, the strength of friendships and the healing power of home—set on the unforgettable shores of Mackinac Island.
If you're not reading this yet, may I ask why???? These books offer everything to keep you turning pages till the very end and always leave you wanting more.
Harlow Wynn grew up on the beautiful Mackinac Island where her parents owned the Wynn Inn. It was a stunning property that mysteriously burned down in a fire killing Harlow's mom and casting a shadow of doubt on her father for what was determined to be arson. Even Harlow, in her hurt and anger, felt her dad could have set the fire. Years passed. Harlow was "discovered" and moved to Hollywood where she's become an A-list star. Her husband/manager may or may not have been involved with tampering with the brakes on her car causing a horrible accident and nearly crippling her. Her husband had no empathy to her situation and, following a visit from her best friend, Eryn, and her dad, she returned home to mend not only her body, but her past as well.
Each story in this series brings healing from the past and more clues to the fire that claimed her mother's life. The friendships she's made are so warm and endearing. And no story is complete without an antagonist to add some tension and drama into the mix. Unlike many mysteries, there is no gore, no moments to scare you. There are clues to the mystery, love between a daughter and her dad, and many town folk that add to solving the mystery surrounding the fire mixed with friends, fudge and the picturesque surrounding areas of Mackinac Island! Get involved with Harlow Wynn and enjoy a great adventure!!!!
Harlow Wynn, movie star and popular celebrity, is the girl next door (somehow I picture Meg Ryan in her rom com days or Reese Witherspoon). Delightful, charming and truly kind, she paid her dues in Tinseltown, and Harlow now is officially divorced from the evil hubby manager.
She bought a house in her Michigan hometown and is having it renovated, and Harlow revels in her local gal pal relationships in the Mackies. She is also frequently running into her high school sweetheart, first love and ex, fire chief Caleb, since her island hometown is small.
As she splits her time between home and LA, Harlow realizes how lucky she is to have options and how happy she and Robert are officially divorced, and she focuses on wrapping up their manager client relationship, ready for him to be out of her life.
As Harlow’s home on Lighthouse Lane is being renovated, odd issues crop up. Allegations of damaging island trees (a huge no-no) are thankfully proven false. Someone breaks in to her new home, but the would be thief flees when cops arrive and no reason is known.
The paparazzi are quite busy telling their lies as well. False articles and AI generated photos show her in her new house with Caleb - but the house is stripped down to the studs while being prepped for work - what is happening? Could it have anything to do with another local gal who is attempting to break into the Hollywood acting scene?she is unpleasant, unkind and disliked by most of the locals and potentially willing to damage Harlow, due to her jealousy of Harlows celebrity.
As the story unfolds, so much to love about Harlow, her dad David and aunt, Harlow’s gal pals and many of the sweet relationships that are developing and deepening, with more time back home on the island.
The novel ending is entertaining and has a lot of hints for the next possible book in the series and is an absolutely worthwhile read
I wanted to love this series since I have loved the all the series she co wrote with Cecilia Scott but found the books ended abruptly and each book never really fleshed out or kept me wanting to live on Mackinac island - I am from Michigan and love Mackinac island but she didn’t really describe how beautiful it is and I wanted more actual discovery of the fire cause- romance with Caleb and her recovery from her devastating accident seemed almost a non issue past her first physical therapy session- I wouldn’t waste your valuable time reading - I continued the series since I don’t like to quit books and thought they would flesh out more than she did- the girlfriend aspect was what kept me reading.

Wynn Harbor Inn is a cozy mystery series with a famous Michigan setting - Mackinac Island and has a connection to Hope Callaghan’s Easton Island Family Saga series. All Roads Lead to Michigan with its relatable characters( Harlow, her best friend Jillian, her father David Wynn, Aunt Birdie and the Magnificent Mackies) is humorous, uplifting and the intrigue of what happened to Wynn Harbor Inn keeps me reading. Immerse yourself in Mackinac Island’s old fashion, unforgettable charm – no motor vehicles allowed. As a retiree, I can relate with Lottie Fletcher: GROWING OLD isn’t for the FAINT of HEART! Recipe for Harlow’s Slow Cooker Peach Cobbler is included.
I’ve read the first 5 books in 2 days. I wish the 6th book would be out sooner but we have to be patient and wait for good things. The series is so good about Wynn and her friends and family. Her only true friends are on the island where she grew up. Fame didn’t come easy or let her have true friends in Ca. After her accident she changed, found out who really cared about her. I hope they find out what happened to her mother nd she gets back with her high school sweetheart. I hate having to wait til June of 2027 for the next book but I’ll be waiting. I recommend these books to everyone who likes a mystery along with some romance.
An established series with a very quick, easy book addition. There's not really much forward motion for the series. A few continuations of previous issues/discussions and time back on the island for Harlowe. There is still plenty going on and it seemed to be cut off in the middle of a couple of situations such as Cheyenne's commercial/acting career and a potential stalker/paparazzi. Still a good read with a few feel-good moments. As usual, I'll look forward to more books about this and Easton Island.
Truly an inspiring story. The characters involved are very interesting and different. There is a natural connection between them even though they all have different personalities and talents. It is filled with a little intrigue trying to figure out the answers to what happened to the Inn to cause the fire and ultimately the death of the wife and mother. Plus the tabloids exploiting their privacy. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
Spring is in the air on the island. And with it - the movie that's coming up, a new up and coming local is breaking into the Hollywood scene, a break-in at the cottage, paparazzi, tabloids, an ex husband, new clues, old flame, new friends, an amazing opportunity for a deserving kid. All this and more happening around Harlow Wynn. A wonderful tale of family and friendship and coming home.
Another installment in the story of Harlow Wynn and her life on Mackinac Island. Her recently purchased home is being renovated, and will hopefully be ready after the shooting for her next film is complete. The concern is how to have adequate security without obstructing her lovely view. This one is a quick read, with a number of cliff hangers.
Harlow is preparing for a new movie to be filmed in Pittsburgh and her ex is trying to replace her with someone no one on Mackinac island likes. The paparazzi are busy posting photo shopped pictures and telling lies. Someone is breaking into her new house going through renovations.
Hope truly has a way with words! Makes me want to get in the car and drive up there. I want to see the house and meet the mackies! Eating fudge sounds good too. I have not read any of Hope's other series that I wouldn't recommend to you!
Harlow is continually showing her caring, loving, sympathetic side to all those friends on her island home. Robert, on the other hand, remains a royal jerk. This story has some very sweet moments and some potential future takeoffs. Cheyenne’s TV introduction is hilarious. A must read.
Wynn Harbor Inn: All Roads Lead to Michigan is an exceptionally great read. Each series keeps just getting better. This is a must-read. I highly recommend this book.
Good story line, fast moving, great characters. Will Harlow get back with her old boyfriend. What will happen with Cheyenne 's career. Will have to wait and see. Can't wait for the next edition.
I was really engaged with the premise of this book but disappointed with it ending without any resolution of even one of the issues. I know there’s another book coming but in my opinion this doesn’t qualify being called a book.
The mystery portion of the series is interesting just excruciatingly slow revilations. Harlow is an interesting character but Caleb is still an unknown. An enjoyable read.
Another Hope winner. I don't know how she does it. You really can't go wrong picking up one of Hope Callaghan's books. They have great characters, great locations. They're clean, safe for anyone to read. Can't wait to get my next one.
