Kiss Me Like You Love Me is a steamy, high-stakes continuation of Angelica and Tristan's story that began in Kiss Me Like You Hate Me.
Chemistry, suspense, spice, emotional? YES to all!! Welcome back to the world of Tristan and Angelica and it’s fantastic to be back. These are just ugh!! He is your alpha protective MMC, touch her and die. She is in love with him and will take anything he gives (literally) but also fights for herself to have some semblance of freedom given their circumstances while in London.
Life takes them back to Virginia, which is the last place Tristan wants to go but this isn’t an option. Hoping they could get a break from what was happening in London, they were sorely mistaken. This will keep you on your toes.
The emotional ride I had was unexpected and written so well. Here am I am on New Year’s Eve crying because of a book. However, I CANNOT wait to see where we go next and what happens next for these characters. I know there is still more for Angelica and Tristan!!
This sequel to Kiss Me Like You Hate Me picks up exactly where book one left off, with Tristan and Angelica trying to piece their lives back together after the kidnapping and betrayal. Now in London, they’re dealing with trauma, paranoia, and constantly looking over their shoulders, while moving forward in their still-hidden relationship.
Their love continues to grow into something intense, steamy, thoroughly delicious and tenderly loving. As Angelica starts making new friends, things take a turn when cryptic notes show up, reminding her that she’s being watched. Trouble never stays far behind, everyone feels suspicious, and no one can really be trusted. The twist will blow your mind!
If steamy, erotic spice mixed with action and a female lead who can hold her own isn’t your thing, this might not be for you. As for me, I’ll be (im)patiently waiting for the next book in the Angelica Crane series.
My favorite parts: The side characters (I need a spinoff for Julian & Abby) The “good girl” scenes 🔥 Angelica’s personal development (homegirl pisses me off but I love her!) The big announcement at the end of the book 🖤
I didn't think it was possible to fall any harder in love with this book and its characters, but after reading it a second time with the additions and changes...here I am. I love it rotten 💜💜
It is so easy to get caught up in the drama that is unfolding around Angelica and Tristan as if I am actually there, the twists and turns, the constant suspense, the spice 🌶🥵 don't even get me started on Charles 😭😭😭
I have never read a book as quickly as I read this one. I wish I could keep going back and reading it again for the first time...but I am also very ready for book 3 🥰🥰
Beta
I read one of the earlier drafts of this book and got to see the process come through from Beta until ARC. I absolutely loved every second of reading this and I am obsessed with Tristan and Angelica's story!
I was excited, and heard broken, and overwhelmed, and in love, and angry, and on edge, and desperate for more.
Kiss Me Like You Love Me is the second book in the ANGELICA CRANE series.
Following the events of ‘Kiss Me Like You Hate Me’, Angelica and Tristan are still struggling with the after effects of Bill’s betrayal. Although he is in prison, the pair are still being hounded not only by the press but also by the knowledge that Bill may not have been acting alone.
Escaping to London the pair work hard to stay under the radar whilst still keeping their relationship under wraps. When a persistent admirer starts stalking, threats start rearing their head, and Angelica’s dad is taken gravely ill, the pair head back home to Virginia but it seems the threats have followed Angelica home…….

This is the long awaited follow up to ‘Kiss Me Like You Hate Me’ and it was most certainly worth the wait.
**Please check the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book before reading**
The tension never eases up, there is non stop threats, non stop action, non stop peril and lots of VERY steamy scenes. The scenes towards the end when everything comes to a head had me sitting on the edge of my seat, heart pounding and pulse racing!!
Ms Wilde’s descriptive details, her metaphors and her attention to detail are delightful and help you imagine the scenes as if you were actually there as a bystander. E.g. “Her Neiman Marcus luggage looked loud against the hotel’s black-and-white marble, coral shells washed up in a monochrome tide.”
I’m going to be entirely honest here, when I first saw how many pages there were my heart sank slightly, it’s long, 560 pages long, but I have to say that I got so engrossed in the storyline that it seemed like the pages were turning themselves and I finished it in a little over 24 hours, it was that engrossing.
There is a lot of very spicy scenes, I mean A LOT. A few too many for my personal taste but that’s a me problem not a book problem and it certainly didn’t detract from the storyline, rather cemented Angelica and Tristan’s deep relationship. Nor did it warrant any reduction in the five stars this book genuinely deserves, I would have given it five stars for the action scenes towards the end alone. They are MIND BLOWING! This book is gritty, relentless, and unforgiving. The story grips you without apology and drags you through the same emotional turmoil the characters are experiencing.
Angelica is supremely infuriating at times and you want to shake her. Her stubborn tendencies push her to ignore or fight against Tristan’s actions at times which inevitably causes mayhem and stifles his desperation to protect her at all times. Tristan can be a bit suffocating though so perhaps her actions can be forgiven, but who doesn’t love a overprotective, handsome, swoon-worthy bodyguard!! *sigh*
There are several interesting side characters in this story that I hope to learn more about in future books in the series. I really liked Abby’s feistiness and I would love to see how Abby and Julian’s relationship develops. Also I absolutely ADORED Cassian and am dying to learn more of his back story!!
I read an ebook version of this book, at around 560 pages with a ‘couple’ cover and great editing, I highly recommend this book, it will stay in my mind for a long time.
With thanks to Rue Wilde for an early copy of this book. All comments are my own honest, unbiased opinion.
💐 Forbidden Romance 💐 Super Spicy 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 💐 Protective Hero 💐 Open Door 💐 Forced Proximity
From the very first page, I couldn’t stop reading. This story had me hooked in a way that’s hard to explain - the kind of book that takes over your thoughts when you’re not even reading it. It’s intense, emotional, and deeply addictive, and I was all in from start to finish.
Watching Angelica and Tristan’s relationship develop in this book was everything. Their dynamic here feels completely different to the first book, where they were still finding their feet and learning what each other needed. This time, their connection has matured. They’re engaged, they’re settled in their relationship, but they’re also working through trauma together and figuring out how to balance everything that comes with loving each other the way they do. It felt real, messy, and earned.
There’s so much jealousy, tension, love, addiction, and possession running through their relationship, but what stood out most to me was how deeply connected they are. They would do anything for each other. They listen. They learn. They grow. Their bond feels intense but intentional - they actually hear each other and aren’t afraid to say what they want or need. You can really feel how much their relationship has evolved.
The spicy scenes were top tier. Not just hot, but powerful and emotional. I loved that there were moments where control shifted, showing trust and vulnerability between them. It never felt one-sided - it felt like two people completely safe with each other and open about their feelings, which made those scenes hit so much harder.
I also loved Abby and Julian. Abby has always been one of my favourite characters - her relationship with Angelica is beautiful, and she’s exactly the kind of friend you’d want in your corner. Always there, always steady. The dynamic between Abby and Julian is something I’m already obsessed with. It’s subtle, but meaningful, and I cannot wait to see where that goes. Julian really showed the kind of person he is through his actions, especially in how he supports Angelica, and I loved how naturally that whole friendship group fits together.
And Charles… my heart broke for him. I loved him so much. The way he loved Angelica, so quietly and selflessly, genuinely hurt in the best way. I loved the role he played in this story and how important his presence was. His love mattered, and the part he had felt meaningful rather than forgotten or brushed aside.
Then there was that plot twist. I was not expecting it. At all. The suspense, the people involved, the way it all came together - bloody hell (to quote Tristan). Total shock to the system. Absolute madness. It completely caught me off guard and left me sitting there stunned.
This book was intense, emotional, obsessive, romantic, and full of surprises. I was fully in it from start to finish, and I already need more.

Kiss Me Like You Love Me is a sultry, emotionally charged romance that knows exactly how to turn up the heat while keeping readers hooked with sharp twists and layered characters. Rue Wilde delivers a story that’s spicy and steamy without losing sight of heart, tension, and momentum.
From the first charged encounter, the chemistry crackles. Wilde’s writing leans into vivid descriptions—lingering glances, electric touches, and moments so intense they feel like they hum off the page. The passion is bold and unapologetic, making each intimate scene feel earned and unforgettable rather than gratuitous.
What truly elevates the book are the unexpected twists. Just when you think you understand where the story is headed, Wilde pivots—revealing secrets, shifting power dynamics, and emotional stakes that deepen the connection between the characters. These turns keep the pace tight and the suspense high, adding bite to the romance.
The characters themselves are intriguing and complex, carrying their own baggage, desires, and vulnerabilities. Their push-and-pull dynamic fuels the story, creating intense scenes that blend longing with conflict. You’re not just rooting for the romance—you’re invested in who these people are and who they might become together.
Overall, Kiss Me Like You Love Me is a compelling mix of heat, heart, and surprise. If you’re craving a romance that’s steamy, emotionally resonant, and full of deliciously unexpected moments, Rue Wilde’s novel is one you won’t want to miss.
Kiss Me Like You Love Me is a gripping and emotionally charged sequel that deepens everything I loved about Kiss Me Like You Hate Me.
I thoroughly enjoyed continuing Tristan and Angelica’s story, especially seeing their relationship evolve under pressure. Their connection feels stronger, more layered, and earned, shaped by everything they’ve already survived together. As a British reader, I also loved that the first half of the book is set in London; that setting felt like a real treat and added an extra layer of immersion.
Just when it seems like they might finally be able to breathe, the tension ramps up again. The arrival of mysterious notes signals that danger is far from over, thrusting Tristan and Angelica back into survival mode. The stakes are once again high, with fast-paced action and a plot that keeps you on edge and turning the pages.
It was great to see familiar faces return (Abby, Cassian, and Charles) and there’s also a new side character who quickly became a favourite. Rue Wilde does a brilliant job of expanding the world while keeping the emotional core firmly centred on Tristan and Angelica.
This is definitely a book that’s best read after the first and not as a standalone, as the emotional weight and tension are deeply rooted in what came before. An intense, addictive continuation of the series that left me fully invested and eager for what’s next.
"I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.” Kiss Me Like You Love Me. This book is intense and emotionally charged. Relocating the narrative to London adds atmosphere and momentum as Tristan and Angelica confront lingering trauma, mounting danger, and the complexities of a hidden relationship. The book skillfully balances high stakes suspense driven by ominous threats and the constant presence of betrayal with a deeply earned, undeniably steamy romance. The fiercely protective and die hard energy, paired with a well executed, jaw dropping twist, creates a gritty, fast paced continuation that maintains tension through to the final page. Although this is the second book in the series, I had no difficulty fully understanding or appreciating the story without having read book one. The characters, emotional arcs, and stakes are clearly established, making this installment accessible on its own. That said, I have no doubt that starting from the beginning would only enhance the experience; it truly feels like the perfect cherry on top. I will absolutely be rereading this after picking up book one. A must-read series. 💛
Where to start this review…. First I read close to 250 books a year. Most of those books get a full written review, but all get a star rating. In those 200+ books some are good lots are great, some I remember some I enjoy and move on. Not a lot of those book burrow and hold a place in my mind and heart this one will be one of those rare occurrences.
This is the second book in the Angelica Crane Series. The characters come to life by page 3 and by page 4 , just like in book 1., I love and adore them . Rue has a way with words and phrases that catch your attention and make you feel. Tristan and Angelica are raw and real. This second book is all twists and turns and angst and anger and sadness and chemistry. Most of all they make you feel what real love and devotion is. I laughed, was angry and I ugly cried. It’s hold your breath non stop roller coaster dips and twists.
I can’t wait for the next book to see how much she’s grown and he’s stood by her side . So if you’re looking for a page turning, stay up late hold your breath book this is a book for you.
Intense, Addictive, and Worth the Wait: The Evolution of Tristan & Angelica
Kiss Me Like You Love Me is a relentless and emotionally charged sequel that expertly builds upon the foundation of book one. Moving the setting to London provides a refreshing, immersive atmosphere as Tristan and Angelica navigate their trauma and a hidden relationship. Rue Wilde strikes a perfect balance between high-stakes suspense—fueled by cryptic threats and the lingering shadow of betrayal—and a deeply earned, steamy romantic connection. The "touch her and die" protective energy combined with a mind-blowing twist makes this a gritty, fast-paced continuation that kept my pulse racing until the final page. It is a must-read for fans of romantic suspense, though readers should definitely start with book one to appreciate the full emotional weight. ⚠️ Content Awareness: This is a dark romantic suspense novel. Themes include stalking, kidnapping aftermath, trauma/PTSD, graphic violence, and intense erotic content. Please check the author’s full list of triggers before diving in.
This sequel to Kiss Me Like You Hate Me picks up exactly where book one left off. Angelica and Tristan were trying to piece their lives back together in London after the Bill situation back in Virginia but of course they are still constantly looking over their shoulders because Angelica has been getting letters again. I was honestly not expecting that twist towards the end of the book.
I loved how protective Tristan was of Angelica. Oh and let’s not forget about the spice. There was soo much of it and I loved every single part of it.
The storyline will for sure keep you on toes and make you want to keep reading well past your bedtime. I know it did for me. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
Thank you Rue Wilde for the ARC. All thoughts are my own.
A page-turner of a sequel, this one is emotionally driven with elements of suspense, spice and romance. Angelica was a bit superficial in book one, not letting us see too far behind her walls but she is much more transparent in this one. Her bestie Abigail gets more “page time”, delivering snark, witty banter and showing up when Angelica needs her. Tristan may be the bodyguard but Angelica proves that she is a force to be reckoned with and she is no longer hiding it.
Omg I loved this so much better than the first book, Kiss Me Like You Hate Me. I loved how much Angelica’s and Tristan’s relationship developed in between the books, as well as in this sequel. I also loved Julian and his confidence. I’m excited to see more of him and Abby. I was sobbing every time we got Angelica’s dad in this book. Definitely recommend.
Absolutely loved this read! Tristan and Angelica have so much chemistry they heat the pages of the e-reader. This book has everything I love in a read, especially to keep me reading as fast as I did this one. The twists, the suspense that follows these two will make you want to not put this read down.
Angelica and Tristan's story will have you enthralled from the start. They have so much chemistry that the pages could catch fire. The storyline will keep you on your toes and have you turning each page to find answers.
This is the second book in this series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Right when I thought I had the twists and turns figured out, I was blown away by the reality of it all! This books has love, steamy romance, suspense, thrills, and so much more! Can’t wait for the next books in the series!
The second book picks up where book one ends, and I think I loved this one even more more! It’s and emotional spicy whit the suspense! I love Rue’s writing and can’t wait for book three! And maybe some side stories !
I was so excited to read this book when it hit my inbox. The heat from the last book set this one up perfectly. I was in love with everything about this from page one. I was gasping, crying, kicking my feet and reading snippets of Kiss Me like you love me to my husband (who pretends to care) and my roommates (who match my energy and outrage). I cannot wait to see the story between Julian and Abby. I am not sure if that's a trauma bonded relationship destined to burn up or the best love story yet!
If you're looking for spicy read laced with angst, mystery dripping with obsession, fiercely protective MMC and all the touch her and ☠️ feels, then pick this book up.
Get ready for a thrilling adventure that masterfully blends chemistry, suspense, spice, and emotional depth! I'm absolutely delighted to return to the world of Tristan and Angelica - it's truly fantastic to be back ❤️🔥
💕 These characters are absolutely captivating!! Tristan, the alpha male, is fiercely protective of Angelica, and anyone who dares to touch her will face dire consequences. 🔥 Angelica, smitten with Tristan, accepts his love with open arms, yet simultaneously finds the strength to fight for her independence amidst their challenging circumstances, especially during their time in London. ❣️Life takes an unexpected turn, forcing them to leave London and head back to Virginia, a place Tristan desperately wants to avoid, but fate has other plans. Hoping for a peaceful reprieve, they're instead met with more turmoil, keeping them on the edge of their seats. 🎢 This emotional rollercoaster caught me off guard, and I found myself tears-eyed 😢 on New Year's Eve, but I'm eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Tristan and Angelica's journey, knowing there's still more to come for these incredible characters🤗❣️
