Birdie Starling came home to save the ranch. She didn’t expect to fall for three cowboys with secrets sharp as teeth.
After burning out on holding her life together alone, Birdie returns to Starfield Ranch to care for her stubborn grandpa, reconnect with home… and the Christmas tradition her late mom built from scratch. Between sick animals, looming bills, and a holiday fundraiser that could make or break everything, she doesn’t have time for romance—especially not the unfinished business named Noah, Beau, and Greyson.
Noah, the overprotective ranch hand with a bad habit of doing everything for her. Beau, the gentle, golden-boy vet whose hands can fix anything but his own heart. Greyson, the feral, quiet one who looks at her like she’s the only thing tethering him to this world.
When a wolf saves Birdie from a bear the night of the first snow, the threads between her and the three men pull tight. Their touch makes her fever break, distance makes her physically sick. The full moon is coming, Christmas is around the corner, and the men she can’t stop thinking about keep talking about mates and soul-bonds like they’re real.
In a town where people whisper about mangled deer and fate, Birdie starts to wonder if “soulmate” might mean something a little more… wolf.
Now she has a walk away before the past has a chance to repeat itself, or trust three stubborn, overprotective cowboys when they say she was never meant to choose between them.
I really enjoyed this cute, clean shifter Christmas romance. This is my first book by Bobbi Hart, and it definitely won’t be my last.
Birdie finally returns home to Starfield Ranch after years of running from her sorrow. Her grandpa welcomes her back with open arms and a long list of daily chores they tend to fight over. Birdie is a strong, stubborn, independent, and hardworking cowgirl, and I loved her resilience.
She immediately butts heads with the ranch hand, Noah. He’s hardworking, trustworthy, and fiercely protective, though he has a habit of putting his foot in his mouth when it comes to Birdie. Then there’s Beau, the town vet, who instantly connects with our FMC. He has a gentle demeanor and absolutely radiates reassurance. And last but not least is Greyson, her wolf, who once saved her life and the best friend of the two knuckleheads. Greyson is feral, direct, and refreshingly no-nonsense.
Birdie has a knack for doing things she probably shouldn’t, repeatedly putting her life at risk. These men each protect her and support her in their own ways, which made the story both heartwarming and engaging.
I can’t wait to dive into more of Bobbi Hart’s books.
This is a book for healing during the holidays. While its very sweet it does have a few tense moments. The fmc here is fearless with a giant heart. A clean, heartwarming story.
