If there’s one thing about Alana Mays, it’s that she had forgotten just how beautiful she was.
Not because she wasn’t.
Because someone she loved made her feel like she wasn’t.
Alana was successful, intelligent, accomplished, and absolutely gorgeous. But after years of being married to a husband who stopped seeing her, she slowly stopped seeing herself too. Then came the betrayal that changed everything.
Finding out her husband had been living a double life and having an affair with one of his male colleagues didn’t just end her marriage—it broke her confidence. After that, she completely shut herself off from love. She didn’t notice when men flirted. She didn’t believe compliments. She convinced herself that chapter of her life was over.
Then…
Marcel walked in.
Baby…
Tall.
Fine.
Young.
And completely unbothered by the walls she kept trying to put up.
One late night at work, he offered to walk her to her car after valet had already left. With Christmas only a few days away, Alana was supposed to be on a plane headed to Florida to spend the holidays with her mother.
But Old Man Winter said…
“Not today.”
A snowstorm rolled in, the roads became impossible, and before either of them knew it, Alana was snowed in with the one man she never saw coming.

But here’s what I loved most about this story.
Marcel wasn’t there to become her forever.
He was there to remind her that she was still worthy of being desired… still worthy of being chosen… and still worthy of a love that saw every part of her.
When the snow finally melted and it was time to say goodbye, Marcel gave Alana the greatest Christmas gift of all.
Hope.
He encouraged her to give love another chance and to never settle for anything less than the kind of love she deserved.
And eventually…
She met Langston.
Everything her ex-husband wasn’t.
A man who loved her openly, intentionally, and unapologetically.
The kind of man who looked at her the way she should’ve been looked at all along.
This book was equal parts healing, heartwarming, hilarious, and HOT. If you love forced proximity, holiday romance, older woman/younger man chemistry, emotional healing, second chances at love, and enough spice to warm you up faster than a cup of hot cocoa, this one belongs on your holiday TBR.

She got her grove back Oh My did she ever. Marcel’s age had nothing to do with it but everything to do with it. He listened to what she said she needed. He gave her that and something she never expected and what he gave her was a new way to see Love lust and sex.
