Saniya Carter is used to carrying the world alone. With twins to raise and bills stacking higher than hope, she’s just trying to survive the holidays without falling apart. What she isn’t expecting is the moment fate pushes her into the path of Kross Sevyn Saint—a man with a quiet intensity, a guarded past, and a kind of steadiness she’s never known.
What begins as a rough winter day quickly shifts into a connection neither of them saw coming. Kross is the type of man who doesn’t invite people into his life, but something about Saniya—and the twins who cling to her every word—disarms him. He offers help when she needs it most, and for the first time in a long time, Saniya feels seen… and safe.
As Christmas approaches, simple acts of kindness turn into late-night conversations, shared warmth, and a bond that grows harder to ignore. Both carry pasts that taught them to keep their guard up, yet somehow, with each other, the walls begin to lower.
Set against a gritty yet tender Philadelphia winter, A Saint for Christmas is an urban holiday romance about unexpected love, and discovering that sometimes the family you make can be the greatest gift of all.
Normally when the holidays are over, I have no plans to read another holiday book until the season rolls around again. But this book kept popping up as a suggested read on Amazon and I liked the synopsis so I took a chance with it.
I enjoyed it. It’s one of those holiday reads where everything that can go wrong, does. There was plenty of snow, but not much else that would signal it was the season of cheer. The FMC, Saniya, couldn’t catch a break, but during one of those moments, who shows up to assist, the MMC, Kross. Saniya just happened to be in the right place at the right time and things began to turn around soon after.
Oh, this is the type of holiday reads I live for every year. You can truly feel the holiday spirit through the pages. Kross was the Saint that Saniya needed in her life. She was literally carrying the world on her shoulders. She was becoming weighted down but continued to move forward for her kids. How do you tell two six year olds that the rent is due? The car is unrepairable, no longer employed, and don't have money to purchase gifts for them. You don't. You just keep your head high and brave face for your kids. Kross being at the right place at the right time saved her and the kids' lives. He gave them something so valuable that there isn't a price big enough to obtain it. He provided security and a real family. Blood doesn't make you family. It's the people who cares that does.
Fabulous read, ladies and gents. I highly recommend it. It restores hope in humanity. Get into it. There are a lot of lessons in these few pages.
Saint’s mechanic business is thriving, as he tries to leave the streets in his rearview. However, there is always something or in this case someone who won’t let the past stay there. 😤
Saniya can feel the ground beneath her beginning to cave. Every time she makes two steps forward, she is dragged ten steps back. However, she can’t stop and worry as she has too many responsibilities. When at wits end, she happens upon Saint and his intense, yet genuine heart helps ease her burden.
Saint doesn’t know why he is so drawn to this woman, and why he wants to save her and her children. The pull is so strong that he can’t resist, and he fully immerses himself in her life. Cute holiday read where two private people build the family, they never knew they needed.
This is a first from this author for me and while I didn't hate it, there were several things that I didn't like to inckude: misused names, the little girl was introduced to us as Mikah but introduced to Kross as Milan, which was actually the little boys name. Then Kross' room was downstairs then it was upstairs on the next page. Kylen became Jaylen then back to Kylen then back to Jaylen all in the same paragraph. And where were Kyrie's kids at during the family Christmas dinner and gift exchange? She was doing all these things for Saniya and the twins but there was no mention of her own kids, which was weird. There were a few other unanswered questions or skimmed over details but It was a novella, so that was kinda expected- although it moved at lightning speed that didn't seem realistic in any way. Overall, I really liked Kross as a character and I didn't mind Saniya, but she wasn't a favorite MFC. They met, there was snow and hardship and they fell in love and became a family in less than 2 weeks. The End.
When it rains, it pours. My heart broke for Saniya. I wondered what this poor woman did in a past life, for so many bad things to happen to her at the same time!
First her car breaks down and she has no money to cover the repairs. But Saint, the owner tells her not to worry. The first act of kindness she has experienced in along time. Then, she's late to work because of the transportation problem. Guess what her female boss does.
She then arrives home to an eviction notice. And her sleazy landlord has no sympathy whatsoever!
I admired Saniya for how she tries to hold it together for her kids! I loved how Saint, his sister and his grandmother came to the rescue. Awesome story!
A Saint for Christmas is exactly what Kross turned out to be 🎄✨. He showed up at just the right moment, steady and patient, stepping in to help Saniya even when she pushed back and tried to handle everything on her own 💪🏽💔. His presence felt like a warm blanket during a cold season—quietly protective, reassuring, and full of heart 🤍.
And honestly, who doesn’t love a good step-dad story when it’s done right? 🥹👏🏽 The growth, the trust, the slow shift from resistance to acceptance—it all landed beautifully. This one really delivered, wrapping healing, family, and Christmas magic into a genuinely satisfying story 🎁🌟
A step-daddy romance will get me every single time, and Saint took that role seriously—| loved it. Saniya was truly down on her luck, and Saint stepping in to save the day hit exactly the way it was supposed to. This was a quick, cozy read wrapped in Christmas magic, and while it could've used a bit more development, it gave me exactly what I needed in the moment. A sweet, feel-good story made even better by kids who actually add to the magic instead of taking away from it.
Kross was the man. He saw a woman and bees and instantly jumped in the find a way to help me. Imagine getting fired and an eviction notice on the same day and your car breaking down. Saniya just couldn’t catch a break. But thanks to Kross stepping up and helping making her life easy.
I definitely ate this book up! Omg this book was good. Lowkey pissed me off when she left but as a mom I get it. But as a communicator, be an adult and tell him you’re scared. Jade was a real one and I wish she was in the book a little more. But Saniya gaining a found family for her and her kids was everything.
Life is complicated. You know that better than anybody. But help? Help don't gotta be. You been carrying shit on your own for so damn long you think that's the only way to survive. It's not. And you don't gotta prove how strong you are to me. I already know.
This was a short and simple, but cute read. I understand stories are sometimes limited but some details were definitely missed. For instance, Saniya got up and put the kids coats on and left out of the house. I guess you definitely had to read between the lines. Cute story though.
Saniya has everything single twist of bad luck but she keeps pushing through for her and her twins. Kross Saint comes along by chance and changes her whole life. This is what a feel good Christmas romance should be. Loved it and a new fan of Kay Diamond.
This was such a beautiful Story. I love that he didn’t sleep around. So there were no females popping up causing problems. The end was perfect. For a short read. This one touched my heart.
Kross had come at the right moment! Saniya was on the fence bout how fast things turned out, but thank goodness her friend saw the light!👊🏽 super cute shirt story! Feel good book!
I loved everything about this book. Three way he came into her life and instantly knew he wanted to changed things for her and her kids. I loved you so much!
Such a sweet story. Perfect holiday vibe. Now how Saniya got away with not cooking one meal and still had a perfect ending is beyond me. But I love that for her. LOL
