Frigate Commander - A Supplement

Rate this book
More extracts from the private journal of Captain Graham Moore, the real-life commander of a naval frigate during the Napoleonic Wars. This book is a supplement to the previously published book 'Frigate Commander' and provides more previously unpublished extracts from Moore's private journals. In this supplement we learn much more about this extraordinary officer's views on the war at sea, issues relating to the command of a man of war, and also to literature and politics. In this supplement, Moore the late 18th century Romantic, is much more in evidence. Readers have found this a compelling and highly illuminating insight into the life of a real naval officer serving at sea during the war against revolutionary France.

Worthwhile

Definitely a great addition to Frigate Commander. There is some overlap but this provides more context to the original book. Certainly a worthwhile addition to Frigate Commander.
