Meant to Be.
This was an enjoyable group of short stories, showcasing couples discovering or revealing their attraction/love for each other. Snowed in With My Ggrumpy Boss made me smile. Peirs and Wellesley as long time boss and employee had a wonderful love hate banter while nurturing a hidden smolder. Snowed in With a Lumberjack with Laney and Joel was different and yet sweet and satisfying. Sometimes those early connections in youth are more meaningful than society’s judgement of the difficult life paths that we sometimes follow. Revenge is Sweet with Leah and Royal felt like a mafia -ish story. Something about just knowing that this is the right person for you and moving forward with that commitment was satisfying.

Included in this anthology are: Snowed in With My Grouchy Boss, Snowed in With The Lumberjack, and Revenge is Sweet. All are well written, and the couples get their happily ever after. These are three short, very steamy stories that are great for when you need a break. All three were interesting and fun to read. It's a great way to get to know the author and get warmed up during the cold weather !! Ha Ha Be careful where you read these stories as a need for a cold drink, and blushing may be noticed. Enjoy

Oh my! The snow melting hotness. Each of these novellas were so spicy and had me devouring them. This will definitely be some bedside reading for future cold evenings with my husband. I am not mad at how good these were.

This is a story about Piers Lord aka Dread Lord and his assistant Wellesley Creech, she has been his assistant for almost 5 years, just before Christmas he has her going on a business trip but he promises her that she will be home for Christmas only for them to get caught in a blizzard and Wellesley totally loses her temper and confronts Piers about how he treats her and ends up quitting her job! But she is still snowed in with Piers and she ended up telling him about her feelings and fantasies concerning him. She had never dreamed it could be anything but one sided, he took control and showed her how wrong she was!
SNOWED IN WITH THE LUMBERJACK
Lainey works in the local supermarket and she loves it when Joel comes into the store, she has always had a crush on him. She decides she's going to drive up the mountain to see him but the heavy snow caused her to skid off the road into a ditch. She had no reception she heads off through the woods, towards Joel’s cabin. When she arrives he takes her inside to warm her up and she admits she was coming to his cabin to give him a precious gift. Joel couldn’t believe he deserved her gift

Leah is a curvy baker that was raised in the foster system parents, she got a job in a bakery owned by a beautiful Italian couple who basically became her parents. She loved her life at the bakery if only they had enough money for treatment for Mrs Rossi’s Rheumatoid Arthritis that keeps her bedridden so often, life would be perfect. One day a very handsome customer offered to help Leah with the ancient espresso machine that Mr Rossi is sure will make them rich.
Royal has been keeping an eye/stalking Leah since she took time to help him when he was bleeding a year before. What Leah doesn’t know is that Royal is a mafia boss and he has plans for Leah and it involves her and him and a wedding. A steamy, spicy read with Royal absolutely obsessed with Leah, his aunt had told him he would meet the woman he would marry and he would know, and he believes that Leah is that person.

She unleashes all the anger at how he treats her. Being snowed in with him unleashes her fantasies she has had about him for all this time. We learn why he is acting out and who Scary Sandra is as well. This story is fun, sweet, romantic, and opening. They both lost someone and are learning to heal and find love.

Lainey has been crushing on Joel for a long time. She has finally got up the nerve to tell him. Joel has known Lainey since High School. He knows he is no good for her, being an ex-con but she is temptation he can’t resist. This is a quick romance. I would love to read more about them. Lainey was shy but she was being brave about her wants. I love that Joel was caring and took great care of her when she was freezing. (Backed by Love Anthology)

Wellesley Creech has been forced to come to a beautiful mansion in the mountains of Vermont on Christmas Eve by her boss Piers Lord, also known as the Dread Lord (though not to his face). He promises to have her home by the next day, but a snowstorm makes that impossible. She blows her top and quits in a rather spectacular way. But she is still stuck in Vermont so getting drunk seems to be a good idea. Getting in the hot tub, naked, also seems to be the thing to do. Until her boss walks in and, forgetting her lack of a bathing suit, she stands to emphasize her "You're not the boss of me" statement. Oops.
These two are made for each other. Will they figure it out?

I really enjoyed reading these three novella’s.
Snowed in with my grouchy boss
Wellesley & Pier’s story was about unrequited love on both sides until Wellesley forces Pier’s hand by quitting on him and telling him some home truths. They finally both get what they want and hopefully a happily ever after in the future.
Snowed in with the lumberjack
This is Lainey and Joel’s story. Lainey has taken it upon herself to visit Joel up in the mountains. On the way, her car breaks down, and so she tricks her way through the woods to his cabin. She has had a crush on him since high school and has decided that this year she is going to gift him her virginity for Christmas. Joel, think she is too good for him as he is an ex criminal. Lainey is determined to show him that he is worth it, and the story ends with them, still living in the cabin in the mountains and a baby in her arms.
Revenge is sweet
This is a story about Leah and Royal. Leah works in a bakery and that is where she meets Royal. Her boss, Mr Rossi lies and ancient coffee maker and helps Leah put it together so it actually works. Something happens in the bakery where Leah needs Royals help, and this leads to her going home with him, and eventually getting married together. There’s a lot more involved but it’s a good story with lots of heat.

Sometimes I want to read a holiday anthology out of season. There’s something about reading about the magic of Christmas when you’re not overwhelmed with shopping, baking, and holiday hoopla. Reading this anthology fit the bill perfectly!
Savino includes three stories here, and all of them are excellent. My favorite of the bunch was Snowed in With Her Grouchy Boss, aka the Dread Lord, a true Scrooge who wants nothing to do with Christmas but everything to do with his assistant Wellesley. Savino paints a great portrait of a heroine who does a bit too much for her hero and how they learn to balance one another in all ways.
I also loved both Revenge Is Sweet and Snowed In With the Lumberjack. The former is a seeming instalove story with a controlling mafioso and a befuddled baker, and I liked how Savino showed a slightly different mafia family than the usual dark romance type. The latter features a heroine who wants to make the moves on an ex-con lumberjack, but his self-doubts have made him miss her attempts at seduction. It’s a surprisingly sweet story of two insecure people finding their foundation in each other.
The connective tissue in these three books is a snowstorm—in each, the couple is pushed together by bad weather. Savino uses this trope differently in each book, and I enjoyed that contrast.
So pick up this anthology while you can—you never know when the mood for a holiday romance might strike you!

It’s made up of three spicy romance novellas, and what I enjoyed most is that each one brings its own vibe. You don’t feel like you’re reading the same couple in different outfits; each story has a distinct flavor, its own chemistry, and a pace that keeps the pages turning.
All three romances deliver on what the title promises: a fun balance of romance, heat, and steam, with enough tension and payoff to make each ending feel satisfying. The characters are easy to sink into quickly (which is exactly what I want from an anthology), and each story gives you that rush of meeting someone new, watching attraction spark, and seeing the relationship tip from “maybe” to “mine.” Pacing in some of the scenes was a bit off, which is why I rated it a four.

Oh my gosh!
I love Piers and Wellesley's story so hard — their banter, their verbal sparring, and the passion of their connection … just everything!
However, this story has one teeny-tiny flaw … Sadly, it's a novella and not a full-length novel, which I would have preferred, as I'd love to learn so much more about these two characters and their backstories!

The first one is by far the best
I liked the fully developed characters in the first one, the second one was pretty terrible, and the last was okay. I'm plus sized, my silver stretch marks are on the outside of my thighs so not all of us rip the same when we hit puberty. The ones on my inner thighs are still purple those are a parting gift from 2020. Sorry, TMI but it irritated me that it happened twice. The love scenes are different but the details are similar. I'm absolutely into the Dread Lord. I wouldn't handle getting dressed down personally but, I like how she tweaks his nose. And she has a degradation thing, so you do you boo boo. The ex-con was okay but, he was half formed. Like taking the lumberjock from tiktok, Thane also from tiktok and an ex-con I knew and trying to fit the puzzle pieces together. And the Mafia prince would have been better with the prologue but, he's fully formed. Too perfect by half and too convinced he's right. He's also manipulative and I feel sorry for her. I like that she showed that she wasn't a complete damsel. And that his cousin treated her nicely.

In Snowed In With My Grouchy Boss, Wellesley and Piers are assistant and boss with dynamic chemistry and a whole lotta sass! This one gets wild, but the emotional vulnerability felt real as well. I just loved it.
In Snowed In With The Lumberjack, Lainey’s car gets stuck in the snow and the nearest safe haven is at a hunting lodge through the woods where Joel lives. A little Christmas magic and gift giving later, and it’s a very special, not so silent night. This short story is both red hot and super sweet.
In Revenge Is Sweet, Royal knows Leah is his fate, and he plans for an entire year to claim her. I loved all the baking in this story, and the ending is perfect. A fun read.

4.5 stars. This trio of novellas/short stories runs the gamut from laugh out loud funny and over the top to somewhat serious and darker but always with the author’s sense of humour visible. They are all heterosexual romances, with spicy and sweet moments to complement the amusement. I enjoyed the clarity of the author’s voice. I enjoyed the character development and the relationship development, including the steamy, heading into spicy, intimacy. I enjoyed the ending. Each story is completely stand alone and bound together by time of year rather than character relations.

Lee Savino gives us 3 spicy novellas to cover the holiday season with Christmas and Valentine’s Day. If you don’t have time for a long story, then this book should be right up your alley because they total for the 3 around 250 pages. You won’t need a fireplace, coffee or blanket to stay warm if you read this book. The first 2 gave me Hallmark vibes with “Snowed in with my Grouchy Boss” and “Snowed in with the Lumberjack” but the last one “Revenge is Sweet” give you the Hallmark after dark vibes with a mafia-feeling type romance with danger and intrigue on top of our dollop of spice.

All three stories were good. Very sexy and easy to read. From the grouchy boss that has taken care of her for 4 years, but hasn't let her know he wants her, to the lumberjack that came back to town after jail and doesn't know the sweet girl from high school wants him, to the mob boss that wants to marry her but waits until the time is right. All have very sexy scenes but they also were meant for each other.

Naughty and Nice is a holiday romance There are three novella’s. Two Christmas stories and one Valentine story. I love reading Lee Savino’s books but I was surprised at how much I loved these stories, especially since I am reading two Christmas stories after Christmas.
The last book was the best! Revenge is Sweet! It has some great LOL moments! Revenge is SWEET!
These are some fast burn insta-love romances. They have to be since they are Novella’s and the romance needs to get started right away!

This was made up of three short and steamy stories. First is Piers and Wellesley. He’s a grinch and she is the opposite. Opposites Attract? Yep, they do. Then there’s the lumberjack. Lainey has had a crush on Joel for a long time. He always thought she was too good for him. But Joel is such a sweetheart. I loved their story!
Then there’s Royal and Leah, this one was just written really weird to me. It was like the first two were written by the same person and the last one someone entirely different.

Lee Savino bundled up three super cute and oh so naughty holiday novellas that were fast and fun to read and brought the heat! All three novellas were like a tasty sweet and spicy snack. Her writing and characters are so much fun and so delicious. Loved them all but Snowed in with the Lumberjack was definitely my favorite.

I enjoyed these three short novellas. I had to laugh at the Dread Lord and all his sneaky ways of keeping his assistant close. And who doesn’t love a man in flannel? A quiet, slightly oblivious lumberjack who hits the jackpot when his sweet snow angel gets stranded in the snow. And the biggest, baddest mafia man falling for the sweetest baker, um, yeah, who doesn’t love books like this?.

These 3 spicy short stories are a perfect cozy Christmas time read.
The first story with the grouchy boss was really cute and sweet. In all honesty, I wish there was more to it.
The 2nd story with the lumberjack was ok but I wasn't fully vibing with it.
The 3rd story... holy sh*t that one was amazing! There's just something about a mafia man that is hot AF. To me, this one was the best and felt perfectly complete.

This anthology of short stories was amazing. Christmas is my favorite time of year and these stories brought a bit of spice and strong alpha males to swoon over. I have read quite a few Lee Savino books and I always have a delightfully great time. If like me, you love a really great short story, this is a wonderful collection.
