I was forced into silence once before, and I had promised myself that it wouldn’t happen again. But that promise only lasted seven years.
Entering a secret room in Void, I’m once again force to sign my soul away— and this time the devil wears a skull mask.
Life couldn’t get any worse…or so I thought.
A contract that wasn’t read through fully—my death sentence. Will I be a passenger in my own life? Or will I take control and save myself?
River
Dishonorably discharged from the military, a hit man and emotionally distant— there are a hundred and one reasons to avoid me. Yet when given the choice between a signature and a death sentence, she stood beside the reaper.
Her strawberry scent hides a lifetime of hate and a bottomless pit of resentment ready to be unleashed on the world.
I am obsessed with this book. If you don’t like blood and gore and such, you probs won’t like it bc there’s HELLLLAAAAA killing. I feel for Harper way more than I felt for Lakelynn but mostly bc lakelynn was a whining FMC (I get the circumstances but she was still annoying). Harper and Ethan’s relationship had me in TEAAARRRRSSSSS. Watching her and River’s fucked up relationship develop was a sight to read. I love the book, if you don’t like it, argue w your mama not me
I love love LOVE these two! Harper is such a strong FMC and that is so refreshing to read. I loved hers and River's banter in this, it literally had me kicking my feet. I loved the plot of this, and I felt like it fit the characters so well. Very happy with the ending as well.
This book had me giggling, laughing, literally crying, getting angry with the characters and so much more! I can see a re-read in my near future. Literally finished this book in 2 days
